Indiana Jones with Ocarina of Time gameplay is this a good game or not?
>>12882985Play it and find out
>>12882985I've gotten halfway into the game myself. I wish it had some extra development time to work out some of the glitches, but if you like action/adventure games with Tomb Raider esque exploration, it's pretty decent. Graphically impressive and some voice acting as well.
>>12882985It's an unfinished glitchy broken piece of shit. I have like 10 different webms on my other computer showing glitches from the game, most of which are deadly or softlock the player, and that's only a sample. But whatever you do, play the PC version which has Tomb Raider like controls. The game was NOT made for Mario 64 style controls and it only makes the game worse and more glitchy. It's a shame because this could have been the best Tomb Raider-like; they had cool ideas and cool levels, but in the end it's just a broken game.
>>12882985Never got a chance to play it, but I enjoyed this one.
>>12882985One of the shittiest N64 games Ive ever played. Clunky and stiff controls, felt like a Playstation game, not very impressive visually considering how late it came out, and very slow paced. Just a license slop game to mimic Tomb Raider.
>>12882985I liked it. Don't play the PC version as it has actual game-ending bugs, worse controls and worse graphics.
>>12882985Its a really high quality game. I don't understand why they only sold it on their website and blockbuster.
>>12882985It's one of the most expensive N64 games on the used market, so it must be good.
>>12882985I really love it.I played Tomb Raider after hearing how this game copied it and Tomb Raider's level design is a lot more ass. The N64 controls also make it better controlling than TR too
>>12882985I'd play the Temple of Doom arcade instead, it's peak Indiana Jones.
>>12882985oot with oot gameplay isn't even good
>>12883545Was only released via blockbuster or something weird like that
>>12885747was a blockbuster rental exclusive, but you could go on the blockbuster website to buy your own copy.
the SNES game is better as long as you can pass that terrible boulder level that filtered most players
Imagine you're playing Tomb Raider, and when doing a running jump, instead of jumping automatically at the end of tile, the character jumps precisely when you press the button. But of course if you're not pixel perfect you won't land or grab the next platform. That's how the N64 version controls. And then it's even worse because, since the game wasn't designed to control that way, it leads to glitches if your destination isn't the correct spot and your character will do shit like bounce all over the place, teleport, or get stuck in a wall and force you to press reset.I know it's a meme but people who don't understand tank controls really are low IQ. In fact I have a hard time to believe half the people ITT even played the game once let alone compare both versions.
>>12886074I've only played the N64 release, but I remember hearing that the change in controls was made as a concious decision because they wanted it to play more like Zelda and feel responsive, although I think it's safe to say that didn't really happen. I don't think it's completely unplayable, but a lot of patience is necessary for a game that needed more play testing. that being said, I don't think the precision platforming is all that bad unless you had one or two stupid deaths that make you rush the next level attempt and you can feel more pissed off that shit didn't go all that smoothly. I'd much rather play Tomb Raider tho.
