Ehrgeiz was imperfect, but Square should have kept making more games and then kept adding Square characters like the FF8 cast and Aya Brea. Aya is almost perfectly built for this kind of cross over.
It feels like Tekken 1.5. Visually better polished than the first tekken game, but still a bit janky. They never made their equivalent of Tekken 3.
people played the fighting minigame in this roguelike?

Ehrgeiz is the best arena fighter by a mile and it deserved better than to be saddled with FF characters who did nothing but give it a novelty reputation.
>>12884264There were only a couple in the arcade. Tifa and Cloud were themAlso tifa's tits bounced like crazy in the arcade version
>>12884246people played the fighting, roguelike and party minigames in this othello port?
>>12884169The real tragedy is Cloud not being in Soul Calibur II
>>12884301I liked to see her stretching>>12884336People played the fighting, roguelike, party and othello minigames in this eroge?
>>12884169>>12884264Ehrgeiz is trash:- There are no hazards in the arenas(like lava in some floors or spikes in some walls).- There are no fanserviceI(none of the female characters wears sexy clothes).- the characters inoba or inova or whatever his name was(the wrestler)had zero charisma. It had potential, but the developers wasted the chance.
>>12884343There was actually no roguelike in the game. It was just an rpg mode
>>12884365>there is no fanserviceclaire alone is fanservice
>>12884365>There are no fanserviceI(none of the female characters wears sexy clothes)What, Tifa in a ten-inch microskirt isn't enough for you? What were you expecting her to wear, pasties?
>>12884169*Dream Factory should have kept making more games. You're right. They should have.
I remember the Tobal games but this shit must have been clean wiped from my brain
>>12884169I wish the Square than made a lot of different genre of games still existed now, Tobal and Einhander are excellent.
I loved the quest mode. Hard to find other games with a similar visual look and gameplay. Crimson Tears was close but mechanics were a bit clunky. Anything out there that's like Ehrgeiz quest mode?
>>12887731Tobal No 1 has similar quest mode with you dungeon crawling, fighting enemies, picking up items, healing and stat ups
