Is Takahashi Meijin no Bōken Jima IV (Adventure Island IV)'s manual lost media? Did that game even have a manual to begin with? Couldn't find any definite info on the internet.
This website recreates manuals but it's not on therehttps://setsumei.cloudfree.jp/index.htmli'll link it anyway because it's a good ressource and I love how the site says "this won't work on smartphones" and doesn't give a fuck. Old internet style. The only thing you need to know for this game is that the fruit counter also serves as strength for the mini games. You need a full counter to clear them.
Also even then you're not very good at the internet because a quick ebay search shows that there is a manualIt was always a rare expensive game that's why it's not easy to find a manual to scanYour best bet is to contact those ebay scammers, pretend you're interested, but want photos of every page of the manual to make sure it's in good conditions

Famicom manuals had so much soul compared to NES manuals. Just compare these twohttps://gamemanual.midnightmeattrain.com/entry/%E3%83%AD%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%83%9E%E3%83%B34https://www.thegameisafootarcade.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Mega-Man-4-Game-Manual.pdf
>>12884562Growing up in the time I have always realized that American companies are so disassociated and almost disrespectful of the source material. It's a lot like nobody who works at the American companies ever saw or played the game or just downright hates it. So much of this happens non-stop in the 90s. Capcom was by far the worst. When it seems to be is that a lot of these companies are business Bros and Lebanese Russian Mobsters or some crap and are pushing video games as an import to flip and make money on.
>>12884568It's easy to forget this today, but back then part of this was objectively the correct move. You can't have the entire key art for your game use the Japanese style because then americans would have thought the target audiance was 3 to 5 years olds. Americans were still anti-Japan also, it was an econimical rival in the 80's and people were scared Japanese tech would take over the country, also kids still had grand parents who lived through WW2 and a literal ocean between the two countries didn't help smooth out relations (unlike for instance, Germany and its neighbour countries like France which quickly made WW2 a thing of the past)People these days look at those old games with modern point of view and opinion and pretend like "we were robbed", but I guarantee you that if Mega Man 2 had used its Japanese key art it wouldn't have become the classic they know
