How jealous are you of my Game Boy Kiosk?
>literally no experience is like it in retro gaming.

Any other kiosk collectors on this site!? Go ahead and feel it. That's what seethe looks like. He can't control it. He wants to but he can't.

Nah, I'm fine with this. That just looks like a waste of space

9001% I wish I could seethe a fraction as much as you
>>

I'm partial to the other model of GB kiosk with a monitor since that's what I played on back in the day, but that's still a cool kiosk (and probably worth more than the one I'm talking about)

You'd have a point with the SGB2, but the OG SGB plays games 2.4% too fast
At that point you might as well emulate

That will be $85,000 plus tip please.

Man, changing that huge ass cartridge every time you want to play something different sure must be a pain in the ass.

Fair chance. Since you're the seething child who brought it up out of no where.

I don't seethe over stupid material possessions. Tell me you have a million dollar house. Then I'll seethe
>>
>>12885934
>How jealous are you of my Game Boy Kiosk?
Not particularly. It's cool, sure, but it's just a super game boy with a different exterior at the end of the day
>>
>>12886210
>million dollar house
$1M houses are just $300K houses with $1M tax burdens, anon
>>
>>12885934
Yep I've got an N64 kiosk, you don't really want one unless you have a huge house but the way everyone remembers is playing on a tv anyway so why bother playing on the kiosk. I think we are at the point that enough people care about video games that you don't have to worry anymore that people will throw away these kinds of artifacts.
I think a lot of people are worried some rich guy would buy it for a party or something then let it rot so after 5 years building contractors dump it.

>>12885980
>2.4% faster
Oh the horror.
The REAL problem with the Super Gay Boy 1 is that the screen stutters every couple of frames. Then there's the fact that both carts display the games in the wrong aspect ratio (Both Super Gay Boys horizontally stretch the picture, something that was fixed years later with the Gaycube's Gay Boy Player, which displays them correctly).
>>
>>12885934
That's an image from some rando's Ebay auction, you don't own that kiosk.
>>
>>12886451
>display the games in the wrong aspect ratio

To be fair, CRTfags tend to believe that's how the developers intended it.
>>
>>12885980
Except some games designed before the SGB2 with SGB compatibility likely took that into account like Rare games and fighters, so you are not getting part of the intended experience playing at normal GB speed.

I have a not retro wii and wii u kiosks that were being thrown out. Had a chance to buy a virtual boy one from a guy i know who got it from a Nintendo retail rep, but he ended up selling it to a guy in florida where it's probably been hurricane raped 12 times by now. I always thought a good use for black and white bvms would be to wire up some gameboy guts into them and make them little kiosk things.

when the Game Boy was new in 1990 they had something called the Nintendo Power Fest (iirc) and you could go to a convention center in your city and they had like a hundred of these with all different games. It was awesome.

zoom. not even once.

Did you buy that from BEEP? I saw that they sold theirs recently
>>

Not so much jealousy as much as it is admiration. I'd absolutely get into kiosks if I had the space for it. Looks great!
>>
>>12885987
Imagine paying as much as a condo for this, lmao

lol. No. You've been doing ti for years.
>>
>>12885934
I love seeing these old kiosks for consoles and handhelds. It's really interesting seeing what kinda displays they would have setup that you can't really come across anymore. This gameboy one is the best, just making it a scaled up version of the product is neat and makes it more appealing
Anyone remember that one YouTube video of the guy who demos how to change the games and volume of these kiosks? He always liked his music real loud

If Link's Awakening was an NES game with the exact same sprites, people like you would say that it looks hideous unstretched.

As a kid, I'm pretty sure my first exposure to the GB was through a kiosk (not the model shown here, but the smaller one that had the TV with the yellow-green overlay), so even though I've played countless hours on a regular GB, that kiosk is still what I associate most with playing the GameBoy.

I'm not jealous. It's a really cool Gameboy Kiosk.

It just makes me sad that we, as a society, didn't save more of them. There used to be many of these Gameboy Kiosks in the world, but a lot of stores and businesses just threw them in the dumpster after a few years. Then replaced it with a new Kiosk.

We never stopped to ask ourselves if maybe we should have saved more of them for future generations. We were just obsessed with CONSOOMING the latest games that we didn't respect the past. Now decades later many of us regret what happened.
