One of my favorite genres is third person shooters or third person action/adventure games. Anything like:>The Suffering/The Suffering 2>Freedom Fighters>Advent Rising>MDK I and 2>BloodRayne 1 and 2Suggestions for games I may have missed in this style?
Heretic 2, maybe

>>12907891I know a few games like this that I either played or intend to play:>American McGee's Alice (PC, 2000) [1]>Dark Vengeance (PC, 1998) [2]>Enclave (PC, 2002)>Ghost Rider (PS2, 2007)>Legacy of Kain series [3]>Rune (PC, 2000)>Severance: Blade of Darkness (2001)>Shade: Wrath of Angels (2004) [4]>Shadow Man (PC/PS1/N64, 1999) [5]1. Original PC release is abandonware, but was re-released as DLC for the console versions of its sequel Alice: Madness Returns2. Abandonware. Runs on Windows 10 with dgVoodoo2; didn't have as much luck on Linux though3. Except for the first game, Blood Omen, which is a top-down hack n' slash (I still wanna play it though)4. Abandonware. Some releases contain StarForce DRM which can cause serious issues when installed on Windows 8 and above. I recommend it mostly for the atmosphere, as even with my nostalgia glasses I can't deny the gameplay is mediocre at best5. The Remastered version from 2021 is a rare case when a remaster surpasses the original: it includes content and features from every version (PC, PS1 and N64) and even restores things that got cut or were planned but never made it in, in a way that fits in seamlessly with the version we did get

>>12907985Doing the Lord's work there anon.I'd like to mention one more thing: I got the og PC version to run on Linux (Mint) without a hitch via Wine alone, so it should be easy to set up on Linux, generally speaking.
>>12907891Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
>>12907973>Psi OpsHad no idea this was on PC.I think I am gonna check it out.>>12907980>Dark Vengeance (PC, 1998)Only for the baddest bois

>>12907980Your numbering in reference to your green text list makes no sense but thank you for posting.
>>12907891Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII may be up your alley.PS2 game, but it has built-in USB keyboard and mouse support, which is also emulated on PCSX2
>>12908935>Your numbering [...] makes no senseThose were meant to be footnotes [1], but the numbers in brackets at the end of each line ended up a bit hard to spot.1. Like this. Sometimes I wish we could use markdown for posts.
>>12908010It works with wine alone on Devuan too, but for some reason it shits the bed when I used lutris or heroic. Same thing with Fable The Lost Chapters too
>>12908862>I think I am gonna check it out.Definitely do so. It's abandonware and one of the best games of its generation.
The Punisher is pretty fun. It has an Ironman cameo before the MCU was a thing.
>>12907891Too bad that picrel controls like dogshit or else it would be okay.
outcast (1999)
>>12912163Do you mean for the console version? I didn't have any control issues on PC.
>>12912150yeah it's a surprisingly competent max payne clone with some cool flourishes, though I thought the shooting got kind of stale by the halfway point.
Max Payne, Star Fox Adventure, Rockman Dash. Am I doing this right?
>>12907891You've missed Die Hard
>>12913320Why would you lose points for killed guys during the torture scenes?
Urban Chaos, but the controls are mediocre from what I rememberTrue Crime, both are abandonware
