is anyone playing this?
>>3966879Just checked some screenshots, and ESL faggotry like pic related puts me off from trying it.
>>3966908that's probably referencing the fact that ouroboros, the serpent who eats its own tail, does actually wrap itself around earth's equator
>>3966916I know what it's referencing, retard. Read my post, then try to spot what's wrong with it.
>>3966917no, you just learned about iteducating one mutt at a time about mythology baka
>>3966918he meant the "it's/its" mistake
>>3966908I see your point about the grammar issue and I always dislike that as well but that means it wasn't properly checked by an editor, and it is an indie title likely developed by a non-native English speaker. This doesn't mean their creative ideas and game development will be poor so maybe give the game a chance based on its artistic merit, ya know?I'm a native English speaker who is learning multiple languages, will one day be a polyglot, and I guarantee you to Greek, Spanish, Russian, and French speakers my grammar would not be perfect were I to develop a game in THEIR language so...Yeah, STFU about "ESL" this and that, because that just means they speak more than one language - do you? :)
Unironically I've seen more Americans mistake it's/its for the longest time before calling everyone an Indian/ESL become the new hip trend.
>>3966934>This doesn't mean their creative ideas and game development will be poorActually, it is precisely because of their utter lack of basic English ability that their creative ideas are invalid. If you lack the basic decency, intellect, and sense to learn simple grammar, then it is the imperative of folks who DO have decency, intellect, and sense not to engage with your work.
>>3966942exactly, on top of that, brownoids, who make up 60% of ESL speakers on the internet, are incapable of creating anything good anyways
>>3966908Are you certain it wasn't merely but one mistake?>>3966943If you are going to insult others for their lack of skill with English, it would be wise to use correct grammar. "Exactly" should have a capital "E", and you are missing a period.>>3966934But they do not speak or write more than one language. They speak or write a broken variety of another language. If they did speak or write another language, no one would know the language they've learned was not their native tongue.>>3966879Why don't you post more about it? What sort of RPG is it, for example?
>>3966943>capital "E"don't care>missing periodnot a woman
>>3966908that's a very common mistake for EFL faggots, thoughbeit
no I'm straight
>>3966952>>3966943>>3966942All retarded, obnoxious takes. Anything you say is invalid, do not pass Go, do not collect anything, head straight to social jail and GTFO of my world. Or else.
>>3966959Ahahahaha literalol'd hard anon, that was great. "missing period, not a woman" was perfection.
>>3967093Bullshit my theory is sexuality aligns with that Pareto principle/theory. Everybody is ~80% hetero, ~20% homo with something like -/+ 3-5 variance.
>>3967120kekkest of the keks my good sire
>>3966879No, but this is the third thing that pops up when i searched for a torrent of this game to give it a try before buying, so i guess i'll ask you OP, is it a good game?
>>3966879highly AGP
Started it and the text was so slow and wouldn't let me button through as the characters just talked about bullshit. Then I did the tutorial but the keys weren't mapped correctly and I was too annoyed to solve it at that point. The trailer didn't show any of the ugly sub-touhou portraits. If it did, I wouldn't have bothered
>>3967121nigga u gay
>>3966908games made by ESLs are typically more kino by virtue of it being less likely made by an americananyway the games alright so far, anyone know where there's a breakdown of what stats like tech do? havent found an explanation yet
>>3967033A lot of people will argue it's not a mistake at all. Some people read "its" as a pronoun like "his".But others don't because calling someone "it" is denying them personhood and thinking of them as an object. A serpent is more of a living being than, say, a car. But there's something to be said about the speaker's characterization, in the way they talk about an animal as an "it" or a car as a "she".
>>3968772>A lot of people will argue it's not a mistake at all.Yeah, the target audience (low-IQ individuals) would absolutely make this argument without a shred of irony. The rest of us educated folks are quick to identify fundamental grammatical errors and even quicker to question the quality of something if its creator can't even be bothered to do simple proofreading.
>>3968772That’s not the mistake. Are you also ESL?
This thread is fucking asinine. Someone spends 5+ years making a unique product and 4chaners argue about the stupid grammar. The game is inspired by Etrian Odyssey and other 1st person dungeon crawlers. I've played 40+ hours by now. It's good. Well designed classes, interesting world, and compelling combat. There's a lot of symbolism coming from Hermeticism and Alice in Wonderland.
>>3968766Different weapons scale on different stats, but "generally" speaking, its Etrian Odyssey Rules:Str = Strength = AttackEnd = Endurance = DefenseInt = Intelligence = Magic Agi = Agility = SpeedTec = Technique = AccuracyThere are some extrapolated stats including Atk and Res, which I believe are primarily related to equipment, but generally do what you think they do. As in, bigger number = bigger damage / damage reduction.
>20 dollars with no demoI'll just go watch Malice@doll again and play EO on another screen to get the same effect, possibly a better one.>>3969906Yeah, that's what happens here dude. Especially when the game is 20 dollars with no demo and no download link is posted. The amount of time spent on something is absolutely a non-factor if nobody sees the value in it.
>>3969924>Malice@dollI highly recommend the game but to each their own. It's the first time I've ever seen anyone do EO style classes well. If you have played multiple EO games or all of them, then its a must play imo, as someone whose played almost the entire series.
>>3969933I am not paying 20 dollars for a game I can't even test in this economy. >inb4 poorfagGas money is too damn high dude.
>>3969939>>3969939If I remember correctly, there was a demo previously, but I think it was taken down. Maybe it doesn't represent the final product anymore? And overall, yeah the 20 dollar tag is a bit too much for a game of this kind for me as well, I hope they do regional pricing if they ever release it on steam.
I've got pretty far in. I'd be enjoying it more if it wasn't so clunky. Stuff like the alchemy system involves going through half a dozen text boxes 18 times per visit if you're going up to the limit for each character.
>>3969911Do ranged attacks also scale off STR, I wonder?
>>3974716Nevermind, this cutie told me.
>>3966879I can't buy because of some bsnon my end so I will need to see if I can find or wait for a download link for the latest version
