is anyone playing this?
>>3966879Just checked some screenshots, and ESL faggotry like pic related puts me off from trying it.
>>3966908that's probably referencing the fact that ouroboros, the serpent who eats its own tail, does actually wrap itself around earth's equator
>>3966916I know what it's referencing, retard. Read my post, then try to spot what's wrong with it.
>>3966917no, you just learned about iteducating one mutt at a time about mythology baka
>>3966918he meant the "it's/its" mistake
>>3966908I see your point about the grammar issue and I always dislike that as well but that means it wasn't properly checked by an editor, and it is an indie title likely developed by a non-native English speaker. This doesn't mean their creative ideas and game development will be poor so maybe give the game a chance based on its artistic merit, ya know?I'm a native English speaker who is learning multiple languages, will one day be a polyglot, and I guarantee you to Greek, Spanish, Russian, and French speakers my grammar would not be perfect were I to develop a game in THEIR language so...Yeah, STFU about "ESL" this and that, because that just means they speak more than one language - do you? :)
Unironically I've seen more Americans mistake it's/its for the longest time before calling everyone an Indian/ESL become the new hip trend.
>>3966934>This doesn't mean their creative ideas and game development will be poorActually, it is precisely because of their utter lack of basic English ability that their creative ideas are invalid. If you lack the basic decency, intellect, and sense to learn simple grammar, then it is the imperative of folks who DO have decency, intellect, and sense not to engage with your work.
>>3966942exactly, on top of that, brownoids, who make up 60% of ESL speakers on the internet, are incapable of creating anything good anyways
>>3966908Are you certain it wasn't merely but one mistake?>>3966943If you are going to insult others for their lack of skill with English, it would be wise to use correct grammar. "Exactly" should have a capital "E", and you are missing a period.>>3966934But they do not speak or write more than one language. They speak or write a broken variety of another language. If they did speak or write another language, no one would know the language they've learned was not their native tongue.>>3966879Why don't you post more about it? What sort of RPG is it, for example?
>>3966943>capital "E"don't care>missing periodnot a woman
>>3966908that's a very common mistake for EFL faggots, thoughbeit
no I'm straight
>>3966952>>3966943>>3966942All retarded, obnoxious takes. Anything you say is invalid, do not pass Go, do not collect anything, head straight to social jail and GTFO of my world. Or else.
>>3966959Ahahahaha literalol'd hard anon, that was great. "missing period, not a woman" was perfection.
>>3967093Bullshit my theory is sexuality aligns with that Pareto principle/theory. Everybody is ~80% hetero, ~20% homo with something like -/+ 3-5 variance.
>>3967120kekkest of the keks my good sire
>>3966879No, but this is the third thing that pops up when i searched for a torrent of this game to give it a try before buying, so i guess i'll ask you OP, is it a good game?
>>3966879highly AGP
Started it and the text was so slow and wouldn't let me button through as the characters just talked about bullshit. Then I did the tutorial but the keys weren't mapped correctly and I was too annoyed to solve it at that point. The trailer didn't show any of the ugly sub-touhou portraits. If it did, I wouldn't have bothered
>>3967121nigga u gay
>>3966908games made by ESLs are typically more kino by virtue of it being less likely made by an americananyway the games alright so far, anyone know where there's a breakdown of what stats like tech do? havent found an explanation yet
>>3967033A lot of people will argue it's not a mistake at all. Some people read "its" as a pronoun like "his".But others don't because calling someone "it" is denying them personhood and thinking of them as an object. A serpent is more of a living being than, say, a car. But there's something to be said about the speaker's characterization, in the way they talk about an animal as an "it" or a car as a "she".
>>3968772>A lot of people will argue it's not a mistake at all.Yeah, the target audience (low-IQ individuals) would absolutely make this argument without a shred of irony. The rest of us educated folks are quick to identify fundamental grammatical errors and even quicker to question the quality of something if its creator can't even be bothered to do simple proofreading.
>>3968772That’s not the mistake. Are you also ESL?
This thread is fucking asinine. Someone spends 5+ years making a unique product and 4chaners argue about the stupid grammar. The game is inspired by Etrian Odyssey and other 1st person dungeon crawlers. I've played 40+ hours by now. It's good. Well designed classes, interesting world, and compelling combat. There's a lot of symbolism coming from Hermeticism and Alice in Wonderland.
>>3968766Different weapons scale on different stats, but "generally" speaking, its Etrian Odyssey Rules:Str = Strength = AttackEnd = Endurance = DefenseInt = Intelligence = Magic Agi = Agility = SpeedTec = Technique = AccuracyThere are some extrapolated stats including Atk and Res, which I believe are primarily related to equipment, but generally do what you think they do. As in, bigger number = bigger damage / damage reduction.
>20 dollars with no demoI'll just go watch Malice@doll again and play EO on another screen to get the same effect, possibly a better one.>>3969906Yeah, that's what happens here dude. Especially when the game is 20 dollars with no demo and no download link is posted. The amount of time spent on something is absolutely a non-factor if nobody sees the value in it.
>>3969924>Malice@dollI highly recommend the game but to each their own. It's the first time I've ever seen anyone do EO style classes well. If you have played multiple EO games or all of them, then its a must play imo, as someone whose played almost the entire series.
>>3969933I am not paying 20 dollars for a game I can't even test in this economy. >inb4 poorfagGas money is too damn high dude.
>>3969939>>3969939If I remember correctly, there was a demo previously, but I think it was taken down. Maybe it doesn't represent the final product anymore? And overall, yeah the 20 dollar tag is a bit too much for a game of this kind for me as well, I hope they do regional pricing if they ever release it on steam.
I've got pretty far in. I'd be enjoying it more if it wasn't so clunky. Stuff like the alchemy system involves going through half a dozen text boxes 18 times per visit if you're going up to the limit for each character.
>>3969911Do ranged attacks also scale off STR, I wonder?
>>3974716Nevermind, this cutie told me.
>>3966879I can't buy because of some bsnon my end so I will need to see if I can find or wait for a download link for the latest version
>>3966879>is anyone playing thisJudging by this dead thread I guess no lmao
>>3969924>>3969939I downloaded the demo before it was taken downhttps://litter.catbox.moe/alnvkgmlx7r30xe4.rar
>>3981116Thanks, seems to be pretty different from the final game
anyone got the link to the full version?
>>3967117Go back to /pol/ xitter if you can't discuss like a rational human being.
>>3982058on torrents
>>3966879Someone in an rpg maker thread tried to sell it as Baroque + SMT and I think that's impossible, since Baroque is literally the greatest artwork of the 20th century so fuck this game or its fan for claiming that.
>>3982095i am heavily retarded, can you point me to a torrent site or a magnet link
I got through the first boss and think it was kino, but it's also bassbustingly annoying to find your way sometimes. In trying to be too much like retro SMT/EO it's kind of shooting itself in the foot, but I enjoy itAlso good themehttps://files.catbox.moe/xx42bl.ogg
im a dolly now i guess
>>3966879>only available on trannysiteI shan't be wasting my patronage.
the demo got me playing etrian odyssey again, so I guess it gets its points there
Anyone got an upload? I don't know where to even look for itch games.
>>3966879>Literal troon game with 12 reviews Not touching this with a 10 foot pole dude. Troons can't make good games they're too crazy.
>literalWords don't mean anything anymore I guess
>game demo doesn't run properly on JoiplayOh... Good thing anon posted the demo here before I wasted my money buying the full version instead
It's just an smt clone, play smt if you want smt don't let these people siphon your money with a buggy plagiarized product. Demanding 20 dollars for something like this is just absurd
>this game with no monster catching mechanic is a clone of a monster catching gameIf you used your head just for a second you would notice its actually ripping-off Etrian Odyssey and DisillusionIts pretty much the exact same structure of a EO game hidden behind the pseudo-intelectual pretentious bullshit of Disillusion as a coat of paint
>>3985935It's very clearly lifted from SMT for the ui. I don't know about the gameplay
>>3985935I don't care what it's ripping off of, all I know is, it's ripping off of something and I personally don't approve of it because the game looks like boring mental illness/troon sewage.
Is there a mod that gets rid of the ugly portraits?
sure but you have to gouge your eyes out to apply it
>>3990395Deal
i played a demo of this years ago, i thought it was pretty cool. i dont want to pay 20 bucks though lole. havent seen a torrent anywhere
>>3966908What is wrong with that sentence?
>>3993794Oh i just noticedTook me almost a minute.like who the fuck cares, your gay >>3966908
>>3993796>your gayM-M-M-M-MONSTER KILL
Oink oink oink oink
I've been playing this since I saw the thread, but I'm unable to find 2 of the keys this witch wants from the first circle, I enjoy the exploration, but I'm starting to wonder where I even missed at this point.
>>3966879Was interested because of the visuals but quick look at some gameplay vids it doesn't feel like worth the 20 burger bucks priceDoes the game have good mapping/ost/class skillsets for the price or wait for steam release?
>>3999364Yea I spent like 6 hours trying to find the 10s and 100s place keys, I'm pretty sure you cannot get them playing as the mysterian since you get locked out of most of Styx. Also after you hit enough progression flags, Lilim will just take yr keys and dip from the Backstage area of Dante 4F lol.
>>3993796>Took me almost a minute.
>>3999557Yeah, this might be the issue. I can't seem to actually enter the River Styx from what I can tell.Except I have the 0Y00 key, and 000! key.I don't know where the 1000s key is, but I assume it's because I can't access the river styx then that I can't get the 1's key, huh. Darn. I really wanted to get her the keys! This is really because of Mysterian? That's kind of lame, but I guess i'll just progress onward then.
>>3999675Oh okay interesting, where'd you end up finding the 100s place key? 1000s place is actually free since there is a guy on the Forum who gives you coordinates for the green treasure cube in the Forum backstage area. I gave up and am now at the last dungeon of the game (I assume). Will look into trying to get calculator more on playthrough 2.
>>3999743I forget which was which, but I found 1 in the Floor 5 lethe backstage area I think (you can also get there from another backstage entrance in Lethe on B5 I think, and the other was in the Crypt backstage area. In the Lethe backstage one, it's past the Seven Metals door if you recall where that is, or have seen it. If it was the Crypt one, then it's just in it's backstage area above the lava floor if I recall correctly. I can get you better details if you need it though.I'm not familiar with this forum one though. This is just an NPC I can find/talk to?Though I do assume we can't get the 4th one, if Mysterian really locks us out of Styx, I'm sure I've looked everywhere else at this point.
>>3999747The guy who gives you the hint is the Shopkeeper NPC who tells you he's setting up shop (or something to that effect) close to where you warp in from the bouncer B4F. I'll spoiler the map location in case you wanna find it yrself.I am curious about 0Y00.key though if you have any more details on that one since I only got 000!.key and A000.key.
>>3999754Yeah, I never rechecked theses shop NPCs. And sure, just tell me which you didn't get between the Lethe Backstage, or Crypt Backstage, and I can go retrace my path and give details.
>>3999755I honestly can't remember because I spent like another 4 hours trying to find something else in Dante desu...Whichever one where you didn't have to fight the rabbit chimera guy Dantallion or whatever. Also I'm heading out to a party so I'll be late to reply, but thanks in advance.
>>3999756Okay, I think that means you didn't get the Crypt one. It's a little trickier to get into.I'm not even sure if there's an item to get over there without the Mysterian spell to warp to staircases, but if Mysterian can't get to the 4th key, then there must be an item I don't have for it?In the backstage in the Crypt, you've probably been to this map, but it's in the room above the lava floors I can give maps for those if you need itWhen you talk to this NPC he marks a staircase on your map, which can't be reached, and doesn't have an up/down according to the NPC. When he marks it, he makes a comment that "If it's marked that means you've used it" or something. I learned the Mysterian Spell to go to the last staircase, and it lets you warp over to it. If there's an item with a similar ability, then you could use that instead.
