Going outside and touching grass. It has the most vast and open world in all of gaming. Lots of great characters. Graphics are incredibly realistic.
My only complaints are that it's filled with microtransactions and some of the races and classes are OP. Otherwise I'd highly recommend it, for you especially.
Skyrim is pretty good too.

mmorpg
Big ass world with lots of nooks and crannies and big ass dungeons.
5 major cities on the large freemium continent, among them a elf city, underground dwarf city and swamp city - the swamp is a particularly hell of a maze to explore.
Very dangerous to explore as there can be very big stat differences between enemies as you go deeper and even common enemies can surround you and block your escape.
Griefers commonly baited high level enemies out to relative safe areas - not like any area is really safe though as straight up ambush PVP is common.
You drop your inventory and maybe some of your equipment on death so it had corpse runs already in 1997.

It's grindy as all hell though and gameplay is garbage - it consists of standing next to your target as melee and is 99% kiting if ranged.

Not quite RPGs, but No Man's Sky or Empyrion: Galactic Survival, depending on how much ship autism you desire. Absolutely beautiful wanderlust from both games, at least for me. Kenshi's got some too, if the aesthetic is up your alley.

I am I am going to list games, some of which have older installments which are also good but because you're probably a zoomer retard I'll just list the most recent.

>STALKER 2
Open world FPS game. Explore a spooky Chernobyl and the surrounding area, full of both human and scary mutants to fight and loot. Lots of cool stuff to find.
>Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon
Skyrim but spooky. Explore the fictional world of Avalon from Arthurian legend as it undergoes an apocalypse. Lots to find, almost 40k-esque grimdark aesthetics at times, oddly comfy. Slight jank, but highly recommended.
>KCD2
Open world RPG set in medieval Bohemia. You play a peasant-turned-man at arms for a petty lord on a big adventure. Very good story, very fun to lose yourself in the world, lots to see and do and find. Also very well optimised, unlike the 1st game.
>Valheim
Cosy viking survival-adventure game. Can play with friends but not necessary. Build a fuckass viking base and go hunting giganigga norse monsters.
>No Man's Sky (exploration mode)
Excellent space game without the faggy grinding. Non-exploration mode means you'll be doing a lot of material gathering and gradual unlocking of stuff, which is fun for some I guess. Comfy.
>Cyberpunk 2077
Night City is probably my favourite open world city in an FPS game. Great story, fun game, lots of mods but they aren't needed. Highly recommended.
>Days Gone
Daryl Dixon simulator. Underrated zombie game where you are a big bikerman exploring post-apocalyptic America searching for your dead wife. Lots of cool stuff, and the setting is surprisingly good. Story is decent but kinda dumb at times. Protagonist voice actor sounds like a shizo but it enchances the experience.
>RAGE 2
Totally dogshit story, totally dogshit voice acting, but fun world to drive around in and blow stuff up. Graphics are decent too. Mad-max knock off.

My nigga. No one ever talks about this game. The fact that you're locked into the retarded story at the beginning of the game and the cover looks like a "queer" knockoff of Borderlands doesn't help. If you can get past the on-rails intro it's one of the most fun shooters I've ever played.

>accept quests from local fighter/mages/knight guild
>the location of a dungeon is revealed
>kill monsters there
>rarely, one monster could drop a map
>it reveals another dungeon or a witch coven (pic)
There's so much to explore in it, it's insane.
>find the towns with the best shops
>find all the dungeons in a map

>There's so much to explore in it, it's insane.
ok, any diversity? I mean after many hours in there's things you never saw before?
>>
>>4012545
Well, all dungeons are made up of many kinds of blocks with certain shapes connected between each other in many various ways, which is significantly better than the dungeons in the newer games which are basically one long corridor, so it provides a much better gameplay experience.
You encounter unique stuff if you do the main quest.
>>
>>4012545
>I mean after many hours in there's things you never saw before?
The entire game is procedurally-generated slop. It's a "radiant" game. Generic quests, generic and randomly-generated dungeons. All meaningless and boring, but there's an infinite amount of it.

There is a main hand-made quest, but you can start some quests only if you reach a certain level (I believe you need to be level 10 to finish the whole main quest, and you can level up to 30 with certain builds).
Leveling up depends on the build, some builds level up slow, so you have to grind a bit, so you do the sandbox stuff, or you level up fast and you won't even have to touch anything else besides it.
However, it's good to do the sandbox stuff, they help in gaining reputation with various factions which help you gain benefits with makes things easier.

you might not like it, but the correct answer is daggerfall. you can literally get lost in a small town in that game. to say nothing of the literally everything else. there is nothing in vidya thats even close to as big as daggerfall. and there probably never will be.

>b-but muh DOS game
we have a sourceport. so play that. and the sourceport has a shitton of mods, allowing you to fill out the overworld and restore many of the games cut mechanics and factions. as well as casually quadrupling the amount of quests for all factions.

>t. never made it out of privateers
the funniest thing to me about directly comparing skyrim and DF is that the "radiant quest system" that todd was espousing as a major selling point of skyrim, not only wasnt unique to skyrim, but they actually did it much better in DF. the radiant quests themselves have better flavor text, as well as more variety to them even in just the base game. but they also sometimes even have actual choices, where you can choose to resolve it one way or another. so if you betray your client, it has actual repercussions, because faction rep actually matters. you can get kicked out, demoted, or even permanently b& from factions if your rep goes negative. additionally, you cant just be the faction leader of everything at once, as you actually need to have skills related to the underlying faction.

i could rly go on for quite a while
>char creator being arguably the best in RPGs MW actually broke it going forward
>having climbing as a skill
>has the only interesting MQ in any TES game
but point stands: even DOSggerfall has more going on than most ppl think.
with the sourceport fixing all the bugs, plus mods, you have the biggest most modular openworld/fantasy sim game that will probably ever exist.
>>
>>4016305
Tell us some legendary experience you had in that game
>>
>>4016305
>t. never made it out of privateers
I have, and ironically you are arguing my point for me: Privateer’s Hold is one of only a handful of hand-crafted dungeons in the game, with all the rest being clumsily procedurally generated.
>you have the biggest most modular openworld/fantasy sim game that will probably ever exist.
That’s my point. It’s absolutely massive, but the whole thing is boring because there’s no human touch, it’s all procedurally generated “radiant” slop. Wide and shallow.

Open enough so you can traverse the world map all the way to the endgame areas, grab endgame gear, powerlevel and go back to steamroll through the main story. At least that's how I played through it. Also, the music's pretty good, although it's kind of a given, given the series.
