calling all world of warcraft classic enjoyersHave you ever had an idea for a quest line, item, boss encounter, vista, location, or anything in particular that you wished you could see in world of warcraft? what is it? For me, I think it would be the coolest thing ever if the Defias chain didn't even remotely end in Deadmines with Van Cleef, and you pursued ever more embedded and high-ranking Defias members throughout the game, with further conspiracies unfolding.>Best answers come true!

>>3985713Here's my awful yet perfect dream WoW realm. If I had the technical ability I'd love to make this a reality.>Vanilla(+?) world>Cross faction, RP-WPvP centric, full language barriers enforced by default, with the ability to learn one or two more. (Common, Human, and Orc are all separate.)>Faction and Guild rep systems that allow customizable alliances/foes, which could be viewed publicly in the Guild or Rep tabs.>Guilds can customize their allegiances (Horde/Ally/Neutral Good/Neutral Evil).>Guild Bases specifically for those who operate mostly in the open world.Example:>Alliance WPvP Guild is given a Guild Base in the open world, with troops to defend it.>Token Horde friend wants to join.>Sure. But now that Hordie is in a Guild that is Alliance flagged, they will be attacked by other Hordies who aren't friendly with their Guild. They will be spared by Alliance troops outside of capital cities.>Political RP and sneakery encouraged. If you want to be evil, you gotta hide it or else groups of guilds will eventually come down on you.Next example:>Some dickbag is griefing/ganking your guildies. Set their reputation level with your Guild to Hostile. Now your base NPCs will attack them on sight, regardless of faction.>The opposite is true. Someone with alliances different to your Guild could 'farm rep' aka be a cool friend and eventually be allowed entry, even if their Guild or faction is at war with yours.Basically, I'd want a system where public reputation to guilds and factions was very free-flowing. Villainous gankers would eventually be listed and Outlaws would unwelcome all over the place. You could build rep with others, from individuals to entire guilds forming truces or pacts. Some guilds even within the same faction could go to war, too. All of these things would be to balance a set of social links for that specific character. You could have a human who hated Night Elves, an Undead who joins a group of Gnomes, or any combination of the two.
Not an RPG.
I prefer the original idea of no sides, just faction reputation. But also the idea of the WoW expansions getting rolled into a Warcraft 4.AllianceHordeNight ElvesUndeadOutlandWith an embassy building to represent how each faction can get WoW-style allies or even import your WoW characters in as heroes.
>>3985713That it dies and stays gone forever. This game always sucked balls.
>>3985713>Reduced Horde vs Alliance nonsense, more focus on all the different factions that make up both sides. >Cross faction players can team up if they so desire (but nothing stops other players from killing you even you are cross faction). >Honestly, I really like the atmosphere of a lot of the maps added in later expansions, so I'd most likely to see them added in but with Classic sensibilities. For example Cata's Gilneas had a way better atmosphere than Turtle's, but obviously Cata also had a retarded cinematic meta-plot and was generally Cata. >I'd also like to see a horizontal gear system rather than linear, no more "obtain new raid gear and get excited for next raid gear".>new armor and weapon options for classes. I wouldn't mind some trade offs for my priest being able to wear chainmail for example
>>3985713Go back to actual Horde vs. Alliance, no more team up storylines because that's all there are now, no more level boosts and cross faction because that stuff should and used to matter and influenced the culture of the world properly before.Keep the monsters on horde, and the traditional fantasy races on alliance to give them their character back.Give the monstrous factions more monstrous roles, like the forsaken should have metaphorical goth/emo teeth and undead desires (like the abolishment of all that is living) again and stop all these clownish side quest lines. I get that is difficult to write into a faction that allies with orcs and stuff, but writers can and should do better.Ofc real world holidays like "pride" and shit should be abolished. It's a victim of its own death of world building, not one that will ever recover because mounts sell too well but there is still a market for a proper fantasy world to get lost in imo.Probably ban carry runs/boosts as well. All of this is pretty unprofitable in the short term, so IDK. Format should get changed too, I don't really care about 1000 players showing up to kill a world boss anymore, I care about the 5 that run a dungeon with me or about 4x5 rotations of those 5 in my guild to cover play shifts of differing times. Game shards could funnel 1000s of subs down to where each shard looked like a small MP world instead. AI to fill roles that players don't feel like doing that day like tank and heals. AI townsfolk/npc interactions to increase immersion instead of streamer shitters ruining it all. AI enemy/procedural story and dungeon interactions to keep things fresh instead of solving it by youtube video.
