I had completed at least 3 playthroughs of this game, each with completely different endings. Your choices actually matter in this one. If you can manage to ignore the horrible gameplay mechanics, this game is one of my favorite RPGs out there.

I was put off by the clunky mechanics and the formulaic dialogue and dropped it early, but after having gotten on that John Kiriakou hype I think I'll give it another go at some point.
