I recently got around to playing the final fantasy tactics remaster. I generally liked it, but I was surprised by how much extra text they added for this edition, particularly the ending which added a strange amount of ambiguity to a game from nearly 30 years ago.

According to my research, they actually dropped a lot of content that was added in the PSP version. The "new" content is mostly battle dialogue if you bring certain units to certain story battles. The queen and her son weren't really present in the actual story. Despite being the whole reason the War of the Lions started. After completing the game, it's revealed that the queen was executed in the end. Agrias Oaks finally has a background. They say they changed context with who/why/how the Lucavi transformed. But imo, nothing really changed. I think there was a rumor in the pub that made it sound like the one duke was kidnapped and forced to become a Lucavi. But they've clarified everyone was just willing and power hungry.
