hows this game and its sequel?
good? worth playing?

it's a good game people disliked for the combat. sequel lost the ghibli aesthetic but is also a solid game people ironically disliked because it wasn't like the first one. figure that out.

Game is too slow
Story is too childish

The first game has a lot of worldbuilding despite being for children, including an in-game book that contains rules for the fairy language (which I once used to translate something in dialogue for like 10 minutes before moving on and they just translate it for you in the next line).
The second game starts off with you as the president of the Unites States being nuked, causing you to be isekai-ed, except you also got de-aged and kept your service weapon, that now seems to fire infinite bullets.
I started replaying the first one relatively recently, it's sometimes hard because the AI for the game is shit. The game also opens up like Dragon Quest games do when you become sea-faring, and if you're willing to waste a lot of time you can try to get way over your level gear by outmaneuvering the overworld encounters, which will kill you basically instantly if they manage to catch you.

reddit baby tier slop

This game is not turn-based?

They're both pretty weird games.
I bought the first one because I wanted a comfy jrpg. It mostly delivered but it has a really weird difficulty curve where the enemies curb stomp you when you go to a new area. The battle system they tried to combine action and turn based and it just kind of feels like slop. I probably would have quit if they didn't give me a DLC monster to steam roll stuff with.
The sequel is a superior game but people hate it for some reason. It's an action rpg and has the same weird difficulty curve but it gives you more tools and systems to play with. There's this weird city-building system in the middle of it that feels kind of tacked on but I spent a lot of time doing it. The post-game stuff is minmaxing cancer where you have to be max level and then use cheese strats for some reason.

They were decent games but mostly forgettable.

Typical level 5 game.
Shit combat and systems.
Charming graphics and world.
Forgettable audio.

This doesn't track. The second game was so easy, they had to add like 3 more higher difficulties in updates, and apparently it was still easy. I never got around to playing it myself though, just remember following the news cycle for a bit.

There would have been a certain wisdom in you deciding not to post. But I guess that timeline is gone now.

First game is good despite the awful combat. 2 is shit through and through.

Bamco slop.
