The remaster ruined the fuck out of From That Day On.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn7VWb_pXJAThe part around 1:02 is especially stupid. Why did they feel to accentuate the bass so much? The song is supposed to sound sorrowful and downbeat, not uplifting or cool. This is something I'd expect out of a shitty fanmade remix, not from Nobuo Uematsu. It reminds of that dogshit remake of The Sound of Silence by Disturbed that completely misses the point of the original.
>>3993216>accentuate the bassCan't remember hearing a remaster that improved a song. There might be some, it's rare af.
>>3993217The other songs from the FF6 remaster are fine. The Boss theme, Searching for Friends etc. are all good remixes. It's just this one that sucks.
>>3993218>Searching for FriendsNot nearly as good as the original. Sff is like 10/10. Even among 10/10 tracks it does stand out.
>>3993216The pixel remaster looks a lot better than the old Steam/Mobile version, but still ends up ruining some things. Like this nonsense. It's a small part of the game obviously, but it was cool walking around on the remote island and getting into a battle with an entirely invisible enemy, only learning that it's a behemoth-looking monster once it reveals itself. In the PR, it doesn't work that way because of how they handled Vanish on enemies.
Only of the PRs worth playing is FF3's as it doesn't have an exist non-3d remake
>>3993327the funniest part is that Kazuko Shibuya did both the original sprites in the fucking 90s and the shitty ones in the PR's I can't find if she did the wonderswan/gba sprites though but it seems highly likely she did
