>Play this JRPG inspired game because I had nothing to do and wanted to go through my backlog>It's sovlful but a bit jankI was a bit surprised by this game. I thought it would've been boring like all the other indie JRPGs that get released nowadays, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fun combat with great pixel art and tight pacing. I also like how there's no irony poisoned writing and it's all played completely straight, I didn't expect to like the cast. I thought I would've disliked the concept but there was a lot of thought put behind it and I quite enjoyed it. Though once you get the wizard you can just skip and traverse through the entire map if you know how to juggle his jumps properly, and I kept falling off because I thought I landed on a platform only for me to fall off. Also the balance of this games becomes way too easy once you stack up on buffs and you can one shot all the hard and secret bosses. Other than that, it's like an 8/10 game and I think /vrpg/ would like it.Had a nice few tracks too, especially the airship theme was fantastic.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U69mnWY7c8shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLy24qkRbp8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KFASbt49uchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puU9ufLXmIU
>>4012613Recommending that you buy an ad and fuck off with this lukewarm sludge.
I'm playing Quartet right now and it's really good. A crossover between KotD, Quartet, and a bunch of other indie JRPGs comes out soon.
>>4012796It would be rad if they make a strategy guide for Quartet like they did for Shadows of Adam.
>>4012613>le wacky settingNon buynary
>>4012613It is better than Sea of Stars for sure, but I still rate it lower than Chained Echoes.I tolerate and find the platforming OK. Not as intrusive as CP.The protagonist is just another dumb hotheaded shonen protag unfortunately.Yet to complete it, but so far decent.>>4012796You mean that crossover game by the 8-bit adventures dev? I already doubt that it will be good.
>>4012709ThisIt's the second time OP is making this thread, too
>>4012796I finished it earlier this year. It's good, but repetitive. Limited enemy variety and constantly reused tile sets. Also way too easy, even on hard mode. You effectively have an infinite supply of items that let you spam the strongest skills every turn. You also stop getting new skills long before reaching the level cap. The towns feel very artificial. More like dungeons than towns. The world map is also a nightmare to navigate when you have the ship and can travel between the worlds.
