How do you rank the NoX classes? You can just rate them overall, or split>Fun>Story>Difficulty
>average>moderate>normalWas this meant to confuse and befuddle you?
>>4015411In the 90s, it was presumed that people who played computer games were functionally literate.
>>4015416why everyone so mean to me ;-(
>>4015399>Warrior 10/10>Conjurer 10/10>Wizard 10/10But that's just my opinion.I might upgrade Wizard to 11/10 for having the best ending.
>>4015503How is his ending the best when he doesn't even get his girlfriend back and instead is stuck with some ugly BPD?
>>4015399Why are they similiar to bg?
>>4015416Average vs normal?
>>4015566They aren't, your memories are just being very lenient towards BG. The Nox portraits are 100% hand drawn from scratch instead of being based on photos of BioWare developers, ugly foids who happened to work at BioWare (Faldorn was like the finance foid in example) or porn stars (BG2 Viconia portrait is based on a Czech whore).
>>4015572I know that. I find bg iconic. Arguably nox has better portraits. I do find them similar. Was bg first? Even the colours are somewhat similar.
>>4015411since health is a state, its average, poor, great, etcand since magic is quantifiable, you'd have low, moderate, high, etcand we don't say great strength steel, we'd say high, normal, low, OP is a faggot etc
>>4015568
>>4015568Normal means perpendicular/orthogonal, or a Gaussian distribution, depending on context
>>4015643>depending on contextExactly, it's anything but well-defined without additional info.>>4015630Thx mate, always cherish some stats 101 recap. Not thst I saw that image 1000 times already and know it by heart for more than a decade.Kids, read your text books!
>>4015399im surprised they made a summoner and not a thief class.
eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
>>4015555It's okay, he fixed her
>>4015737its a ranger/druid, reallya thief class wouldnt have worked too well in this game
>>4015399Mage gets the most variety. If you don't like to be a pure blaster, you can become a trapper or even a melee assassin.Conjurer is there if you want a summoner, the way summoning was implemented is pretty cool and unique.Warrior has a few fun skills. Not my cup of tea, but if you REALLY hate mages it will make you happy.
>>4015765>eyyyyyyyyyyyyy cykaaaaaa
>>4015709That’s not stats 101, that was like middle school math bro. Or at least it used to be.
>>4015399I don't know about ranking but Conjurer is responsible for if not starting than strengthening my love for summoning that has lasted to this dayWhich means I fucking hate it, it's hard to find games that have it at all, and ones that have it as a viable primary focus are basically non-existent, it's a fucking curse
I wish the game had more town exploration type quests. I always drop the game on replays when all the storylines get streamlined in the last third.
>ein ein doh ein kah ein dohYou just burst into flames.
>>4015860I wish the game didn't have such a boner for traps. They made sense in the crypt lorewise, to prevent the undead from getting out, but the entire Hecubah's castle is a fucking Sen's Fortress.
>>4015399nox sux
nah, diablo...suckblo
>>4015399I barely remember the single-player campaign, so my opinions are based more on the multiplayer modes. In terms of strength, I'd rate the classes Wizard > Conjuror > Warrior. Ultimately, nothing can quite match the wizard's mobility, durability, and general versatility. I think the shield spell in particular is too strong, since it seems like wizards were intended to be the most fragile class, but it single-handedly makes them the sturdiest instead. Conjurors and warriors are a bit better balanced against each other, but conjurors are a little more versatile, and ranged attacks just have a fundamental advantage over melee.Warriors are still really fun to play, though, even with their limited skillset, and it's good to have some on the team in team-based game modes. War shout alone is good enough to justify their presence, since it completely shuts down wizards for a time. I also think harpoon is the most fun skill in the entire game. At first, it seems like just a way to reel in enemies, but it can do a lot more than that, like sling people into lava, drag objects in front of you as a shield, or pull explosive barrels into enemy groups (ideally while a wizard is spamming fireballs.)>>4015737I'm not sure what sort of abilities you would give to a thief class in Nox, especially since warriors already have a sort of sneak skill (and absolutely need it.)>>4015845It is actually rare for summoning to be handled in as satisfying a way in other games. Nox gives you a lot of options (even if a lot of them are sub-optimal,) you can have more than one out at a time, and they stick with you rather than expiring after a short duration.
>>4015845>>4017217What ARE games with decent/satisfying summoning, even? I genuinely cannot think of anything that isn't an ARPG with a 'pet class', and even those usually feel kind of whatever after a while since there's rarely any variety to speak of. Full-ass cRPG usually have it be fucking useless if it's present at all (doubly funny because the argument is always 'muh balance' while other options get to shit all over it anyway), and in jRPG it's usually more flavor and window dressing for ordinary spells... unless of course the whole game is about summoning, but that's a really damn small category.
>>4017609I don’t use summons ever because summoning is for faggots.
>>4017609>What ARE games with decent/satisfying summoning, even? The Shandalar MtG game, easy.
>>4017627Then why are you even responding to the question, dingus
It's pretty obvious mage got the most dev attention
>>4017963Well, I believe it was originally supposed to be a multiplayer magical battle game, so that figures.
>>4015399Am I the only girl who always thinks of "KILL ALL THE WHITE MEN" when seeing this subject? It's a song from some kike/zogged punk band that was popular in the early Sargonite anti feminist era
>>4015775that was my impression of the warrior charge that is permanently burned into my brain. shit was so dope back in the day. the multiplayer didn't last long, but it was pretty dope, too. bunch of warriors charing around everywhere.
>>4020116Getting one-shot out of nowhere by a charging warrior, crossbow bolt, or force of nature flying across the map was always amusing.
Is Nox the only RPG ever made which glorifies the white underclass in America? A literal trailer trash protag?
>>4020124he's just like me FR
>>4017963In the sense that they implemented the Naruto hand sign magic and then removed it because it was too cringe, sure.
>>4017609>What ARE games with decent/satisfying summoning, even? Geneforge, obviously. It's even in the title. The entire plot centers around lifeshaping. Also, maybe Arcanum. Though the best 'summoner' in Arcanum is an engineer with a shitton of tech books, and the blueprints for spiders/automatons. Build a horde of automatons to hack your enemies apart, and a couple medispiders to ensure you stay in top form.
>>4017609Terraria's is ok.
Nox was such a fun game holy shit. I had a fixation on wizards as a kid but I'm not sure if they were better than conjurer or not.
>Er-do-gan is a magic spell
>>4015767This
>>4020296>japanese tradition that goes back over 700 years>"Naruto invented it."You should kill yourself.
>>4015399I liked them all, but it's been over a decade since I played it last, so I genuinely can't recall it well enough to rate. Wizard was my favorite, that's all I can say
