NV does suck, it has all the problems that 3 does, but a group of secondaries latched onto it as “the REAL fallout, not like 4!”. I would personally put it in my top three most overrated /vrpg/ games.“Fallout 1 is only ten hours long” or similar is a meme that people repeat. You can speedrun it, and if you have played the game six gorillion times and have everything memorized, if you metagame and do everything optimally and efficiently you can likely do more-or-less everything in that amount of time, but if you played it blind in the 90s with at most the UHS or a FAQ, it took significantly longer. It just felt like a regular game.
