Does anyone have recs for games where each party member has their own unique gameplay gimmick/loop? Best example I have is Clair Obscur where everyone has their own unique mechanic with Verso's grades, Lune's runes, Maelle's stances etc. There's an indie on steam called Tower Song that does it but I wasn't super into it based on the demo.

>>4024798Clair Obscur owes a lot to the latter two Shadow Hearts games, where each character had a unique way of unlocking skills (none by leveling up), many which interacted with unique systems only accessible to the character. There was "generic" magic available for most party members through a secondary "materia" style system.Similar case exists in Wild ARMs 1 and 2 every character has a unique way of learning new skills. In two, one character "buys" them from equipment by killing enemies with it on, while another has a SaGa style spark system, while another has a blue magic system, while yet another combines elements in a shop to "bind" specific spells for permanent use. >>4024801>Final Fantasy(ies)Tends to not be the case. Of all the games, only 4 and 9 have fully locked character skillsets.1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 10-2, 12, 13 and 13-2 have totally generic skills available to all party members, but granted of those 6, 7, 8, 10 and 13/13-2 have either character specific subjobs or limit-style abilities.
