The combat didn't hit for me. It felt as if I didn't have enough crowd control or maybe I was progressing wrongly, but I seemed weak. I think I'm dropping it after 8 hrs. Also, I'm not sure system heavy games like cRPGs are such a great genre for indie devs. The look of the game is cute doe. What did we think, /vrpg/ers?
The concept was fun but the gameplay was not. Which sucks because I liked Serpent in the Staglands somewhat, and id like to see more from these guys
I'm enjoying it but it's just so finnicky and messy with so many characters and enemies and abilities going off. The readability of a fight is pretty bad and I unlocked the multi character rally attack but can't figure out exactly how to track when I'll have enough points to proc it. I really just need to play more and figure it out. It's a great looking game and the idea is there but I think they went too far down the diablo route and not enough of the DA:O route of which both I'm reminded of when playing. Even though you can pause anytime, it's just too chaotic.
>>4028647Rally bars are filled as your guards and allied critters attack, once you get a yellow pip on the lower right corner of the UI you can do a rally and can stack up to 3
>>4026752I've been really enjoying it. I understand peoples complaints but it captures the same feel and sense of exploration that BG1 did and I haven't ever really been able to find anything quite like it since.Combat is a little janky but overall fun. The setting, presentation and tone are really it's selling points. Also I can take pictures of my twinky birdboi while he bathes. So that's nice.I thought it was unnecessary to give the Varuchov's wings and it was a shame to take away the Paasaren's feather hair. Also I was a little disappointed I couldn't make a Lachovinian character as I had in SitS but I understand that that's actually due to the plot. Still playing. Have only just explored Din Varens.
I just started playing this and have been loving it. It was going to be the game of my dreams. Everything was going too good I knew there had to be something around the corner that would sour me.No Quest LogAre. You. Actually. Fucking. Kidding?I got to the second fort and noticed I and been talking to all these characters and when I checked my "NOTES" NOT JOURNAL "NOTES" I see just the one slip of paper.1. After I'm expected to write down every motherfucking quest so I can remember what I was doing?2. How do I even know what the quests are then? At what point do I start looking to do a quest and find out there is no quest and I'm just walking around aimlessly? How long do I do that for until I realize there was never a quest?I realize I'm being over dramatic and games have existed without quest logs. But I'm old and have shitty memory and so I don't play those games. Dang I really thought this was gonna be the one.PS also no difficulty modes. PPS. Why do some developers create games so stubbornly for only themselves and no one else to play? I wanted to play to but I guess I'm too casual. Hopefully the dev won't mind less sales, not as many good reviews, not as many people finishing the game, and less people buying their next game.
