This game is aging like fine wine to me. While i would have described it as a flawed good game, its standing out to me in memory and hindsight the more time passes and having started a replay of it last year, there's a lot about it that i can appreciate more on my second playthrough and without the typical atlus fatigue. The biggest issue is them having to revert back to a Persona-style structure when stuck in development hell, but that doesnt ruin it for me."For me" means im 100% right btw
>>4034310what that a metaphor?
it plays like a console gen 5-6 rpg and I mean that in the best way. but it also means getting dragged down by cutscenes and being railroaded in the story
>>4034310It's hard to set aside all the dev hell issues like the awful sidequest dungeons and Persona copy pasting. I wonder if it will eventually get a truly embarrassing sequel like Soul Hackers 2 because Hashino and Wada won't touch it with a ten foot pole and they throw it to second tier directors.
>>4034310It's just Persona game but in fantasy setting. It's good if you like Atlus games but have enough of teenagers and modern city setting.I really liked Corvus as character. Just an autistic guy with his autistic hobbies and big, autistic dreams. Also Gallica is for being used as onahole.
>>4034310I'm sad we missed out on the merchant lady and cat girl as playable characters, but it's fine.>>4034541>>4035166IMO it was always going to be a Persona-esque game (same group) but the lack of voice acting and somewhat lazy dungeon design especially compared to the first dungeon kind of hold the game back a bit. I expected copy/pasted side dungeons, it's fine, what I didn't really expect is the endgame being basically enemy recolors or the cut content present in the game. Despite that though, 11/10 music and the visuals are quite good. Great antagonist, despite him being objectively a Chaos-chad incarnate schizo

Game peaked once you get Heismay for a full party and quickly falls apart starting from the EO reference dungeon.
