Most people are not on board with a story that's going to be 40 hours long going beat-by-beat the war of attrition as your team of "plucky good guys" sows salt all over the Empire's crops, dams up all the fresh water rivers running into Empire territory, and tainting all the other major water sources the Empire might use instead... among other war crimes.Usually there's some "thing" that's named a combination of two other things like "whisper" and "stone" to make the "whisperstone," and of course this some "thing" has enough power that can instantly wipe out the rebellion or wipe the Empire out and so it's a mad dash to who can harness it aptly first. People will sit for an hour and half to see how that shakes out.
