Indian games produced in India have been terrible. I strongly suspect most Indians who work on modern games would rather be doctors and engineers just like most Indian software developers. I also suspect they probably consider playing or working in games to be some sort of embarrassment. I think a lack of western sensibility has to do with it as well.
