I know this is a spam thread made by a /v/ janny, but it's still the case that the only people I know that actually played earthbound are people that have played Undertale and Deltarune.

This is sadly the reality we live in. Undertale being so popular made Earthbound popular by association, which bleeds into its primary players now being people who also played Undertale. It also leads to mroe people being fans who never played it, but that's just a modern problem with all games.

I mean of course they don't want to play it. Earthbound is an actual RPG
