what am I in for?
>>4055057It has very compelling characters and lore with a "whatever who cares" plot line. Gameplay will range from difficult to autobattle depending on how good you are figuring out strong builds and options, but even when you break it the game can still be fun because the way you break it is different from other jrpgs. You should be playing Mary Skelter 2 first however.
>>4055057Cute girl.>>4055192>You should be playing Mary Skelter 2 first however. Can you explain without spoilers? I got the games in a bundle somewhere and got nothing else interesting to play.
play it in order dont be a retardthe grind is stupid though
>>4058134Skelter 2 has a remake of 1 with better dungeon design that isn't fucking "Dungeon Hack on XXL Random". One issue is that Skelter 2 spoils parts of 1 (of course), but 1 spoils parts of 2. It's not too big of a deal though so play them in either order. As for what you're in for, an interesting and surreal dungeon crawler with some funky systems that will bring victory as much as it will ruin you.SAVE. OFTEN. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
>>4055057Great dungeon crawling, great music, a lot of blood and cute anime girl went psycho. The story is either terrible or very good>>4058134MS2 included the remake of the 1 game. Personally you should play the MS Nightmare first, at least up to the epilogue then play 2. This is because the first game provided some context or explanation for some terms that appeared and not explained in 2
>>4058134>Can you explain without spoilers? The chronological order of the story more or less goes Mary Skelter Nightmares > Mary Skelter 2 > Mary Skelter 1 Remake's True End (only unlocked by beating Mary Skelter 2) > Mary Skelter Finale.I suppose technically you could make an argument that the base game story of MS1 is less compelling when played with the knowledge from MS2, however the True Ending of the Remake requires the events and knowledge of MS2 since they are intended to be a trilogy where you read the side novels as well. Realistically it doesn't matter if you do the First Game Remake up until you complete a regular ending and then go play MS2 to completion, before returning to the Remake playthrough again to do the True Ending that leads the MS Finale. Personally I think that would feel weird in terms of gameplay and possibly ruin the player's emotional investment in the story, so I agree with the developers recommend path of playing 2 first.
>>4058134I played 2 first because I'm a Yuri enjoyer and wanted to skip the harem MC. The characters were surprisingly good so I stuck round for Finale. What I can say is that the summary and flashbacks in 2 gave me a pretty whole understanding of the story so I didn't need to replay the same maps from Jack's POV all over again. iirc there's also an entire story archive in 3 so you can review most scenes from the prequelsOn another note, I find farming stupidly hard on Finale due to having to feed three parties instead of one. I'm scrapping by rotating the best gear to the active party but that's very boring so I gave the game a break
