Why does everyone glaze this game so much when its objectively weakest entry in the series?Yes it has the best visuals in the whole series so far but... thats it really.
What makes it objectively the weakest entry in the series? Other than the fact that you'll say that about whatever is the newest entry in the series.
>>4059934only bideo game that made me cryI still look at his lewd drawings100% the best entry in the series
The game has the pest pacing of newsona even with all the stuff they added in reload. The social links aren't the best but it was the game that made them a staple in the first place As for gameplay, all persona from 3 on is basically the same. The protagonist is more relatable to me and I like how the story unfolds and all the stuff that happens. P4 is still best though
>>4060140As a person that's played it>Theurgy is extremely overpowered>Game looks beautiful but still has the same issues of the original with RNG level dungeon crawling and the very small setpiece monthly encountersPersona 5's focus on having defined and stylish levels is a lot better but I understand the 3 Remake intended to be faithful enough. Even still, imo 3 without the difficulty of the original 3 isn't that good of a game.
>>4060322Honestly I don't think original 3 was even that difficult. It just felt difficult because you didn't know what to expect if you were 99% of the playerbase.
>>4059934Marketing budget.People get paid to be cancer online.
Even if you consider 3 to be the worst entry, there is no world where 3R is worse than 3P.
>>4059934I haven't played the remake, but I think the original 3 is the best of the modern Persona games.>>4060455It's not a remarkably difficult game overall, but it does have tighter resource management than the others, and a handful of tough bosses. Playing through on a higher difficulty on FES, reaching Sleeping Table without much trouble, and having it then one-shot everyone in the party other than the protagonist was a memorable experience.
>>4060274I really hope they keep doing the Party member not-social links they did in P3 going forward. Party members shouldn't have social links so the writers have an excuse to skimp on actual in story character development but having these little vignettes where you can get some extra context was nice, especially for Akihiko who seemed to drop out of the story post post Shijiro
>>4065352yeah, I stan P4 and all but the growth of the party members not affecting the group events really sucked, and it's because of social links. Unfortunately they will never go back. If P4 didn't seal that fate, P5 did. New fans would probably be upset or something.
>>4062836Agreed, especially if I can blame P3P for no weapon switching in Reload.
>>4059934I much prefer the calender and dungeon management of 3 because A) knowing when you've got a big boss coming and B) your dungeon exploration taking up you night time slot, which is less cluttered means you aren't encouraged to one shot clear dungeons to maximise free time like you are in 4 and 5The cast generally has more going on in their lives outside orbiting the MC and their persona upgrades are tied to their own plot developments, not hanging out with you 10 timesCool endingLiz is the best attendant
>>4059934>P5Insists upon itself>P4Doesn't take itself seriously>P3Presents the player its themes and leaves it at that
>>4059934persona 3/4/5 are only glazed by people who were 14 at the time any of them came out
>>4059934Persona only got good when they realized that your social links should provide you with actual gameplay benfits and not just stat boosts when you fuse personas. There's a reason 5 was the one that broke through to the mainstream.
>>4068928>There's a reason 5 was the one that broke through to the mainstream.Massive advertising budgets and reach? Literally EVERY series that had a new game during that time ended up with that game being "the best selling in the series history" it's not THAT much of a feat. Let's see if it carries over to 6
>>4062836Base 3R was akin to spending more money for a game that was a halfbaked middleman of 3P and FES with some P5isms. No, I dont care if you dislike the Answer or FEMC. It was the best chance they had to make a definitive P3 and they blew it and this is why I think its worse than P3P even if that one had to sacrifice a bunch of stuff to fit on the PSP's smaller disk.
>>4069422NTA, but hating P3R for not being the definitive version it should have been is valid. Now, to say that P3P is better than P3R because the latter wasn't as good as it should have been is literal nonsense, I'm sorry Anon.Even in a worst case scenario of opinions where you don't like P3R's cons (worse animated cutscenes, lighting changes at the dorm, the new version of the OSTs, too easy without mods, etc) it's still better than P3P, because it's still close to FES in how it presents its overworld, story (both main and SL stories) and characters, while having the few gameplay improvements Portable added to P3 such as skill cards and direct commands.P3P will never not be the worst of the 4 versions of P3 if you care at all about its presentation.
>>4078516P3P is inherently at a disadvantage presentation due to the console that it was released on. As a result, sacrificing the basic Port Island exploration by reducing it to VN was a reasonable choice given the limitations. P3R does not have any excuse for feeling halfassed and they also screwed up the presentation by messing up the lighting and having generally worse mixes.
