What rpg has the most "roleplaying"?
Animal Crossing
>>4062118Is there anything to do besides bug catching and fishing?
>>4062121You form relationships with NPCs. You can have pretty much any occupation you want.
>>4062122I don't remember this
>>4062123>he didn't get invited into Freya's house for "hot coffee"
>>4062137what is "hot cofee" anon?
>>4062088gmod
>>4062088Baldur's Gate 3
>>4062088Boku no Pico.
I'm a roleplay virgin. It's just never happened to me.I don't even know how to do it
>>4062240let's roleplay together anon-kun ...
>>4062254Okay... umm...
>>4062118>>4062121>>4062122The games apparently have some kind of vague relationship system going on, but I wonder>vaguely recall Rosie running up to me saying she likes me before getting all flustered in Wild World>she later gifts me her picture for being such a good friend>some other villagers eventually do the same, even the shopkeepers>everyone had at least something new to say every day, even if they were bantering among themselves>actually feel like you've built some kind of rapport with your neighboursAnd yet>years later decide to give New Leaf a try out of curiosity>play it for roughly a year, fishing, catching bugs, digging up fossils, building stuff, appreciating the smoother gameplay>everyone practically still acts like it's my first week there, giving me tutorials tips and spouting the same old dialogues like some kind of generic JRPG NPC>nobody ever gets sick or sad or angry or anything>no sudden confessions, no pictures, no feeling of any kind of actual relationship with anyone, you're the boss of everyone since day 1, "Mr. Mayor"tl;dr I'm mad that WW had some very soulful, unique stuff I liked which the later games apparently just quietly threw away
>>4062088Dominions 5/6Kenshi rimworld
>>4062295AC gradually morphed from a life sim to a dress up dollhouse game. Even WW cut back a lot from GCN but at least they had memory limitation as an excuse.
>>4062088Skyrim. Playable roles range from farmhand to a married vampire sorcerer. With mods the sky is the limit I suppose. In Oblivion I could roleplay a gambler as well.. maybe Skyrim has a mod for that.
>>4062319speaking of skyrim, why did they get rid of the attributes like strength and endurance and all that shit? they were great. i downloaded a mod that adds them back and the game is much more enjoyable, but i wonder why they got rid of them in the first place.
>>4062359Anyone versed in RPGs should know why attributes are pointless, idk why this comes up in /vrpg/ of all places
>>4062088
>>4062319You can probably do almost any role with the Skyrimnet AI mod as long as you accept the dual jank of Skyrim and generative AI.
>>4062380what are you talking about fag
>>4062088VTMs and the ninja stealthy games.
>>4062088Doom II: Hell on Earth.
>>4062088>What rpg has the most "roleplaying"?In my experience, RPGs that have people play as an already established character (like the Witcher franchise, Cyberpunk, some Final Fantasy games, KCD franchise, Horizon franchise, Mass Effect, even non-RPGs like the Red Dead Redemption franchise) have more people roleplaying than franchises where you can create your own character (Elder Scrolls franchise, The Outer Worlds, Fallout Franchise, etc.), in games where you create your own character meta gaming is more common.
>>4064764>more people roleplaying already established charactersI guess that makes senseBut also I would point out that Fallout has more established player characters than TES
>>4062088Etrian Odyssey
>>4064791>But also I would point out that Fallout has more established player characters than TESThey’re identical. In Fallout you are some random vault dweller, in TES you are some random prisoner. Make up whoever you’d like to be.
