When kcd-III comes out, the series will become the single best immersive rpg trilogy ever. The fact that both first games use exactly the same engine is awesome. The continuity in feel is unequaled. They could have taken exactly the same gameply, slapped a new story on top of it and the game would also have been awesome. But no, they refined the gameplay, trimmed off some excess, expanded in interesting directions.Lets not even talk about the fact that there is zero competition.
I loved KCD1 and 2. I got enough minor/nitpicking complaints about KCD2, especially some writing parts. Zizka "muh war is always bad and we HAVE to burn down Maleshov. Don't ask why just be a good boy and follow orders we MUST burn it down... Because this is war and war is always le bad". If you choose to let it happen you can even hear the band killing villagers. Too bad Henry can't pass a scholar check to explain the economic and political benefits of not slaughtering civilians. I just wish we got more of Theresa in my Medieval Coping Simulator 2
Theres little point for another studio to look at kcd and try to replicate it. People dont rly care about copycat products, theres lots of bad stuff like the combat and boring quests, boring world with little interesting stuff in it. Also the protagonists main story ended like halfway through kcd2, and rest of the game was about jews or some shit. What do you need kcd3 for?
KCD2 was a huge step backwards from the first game.
