Just finished chapter 13 of Xenoblade X:DE and I gotta say, people were right to hate the added chapter. I don't even know where to begin. I went back and read old fan's reactions and everything mentioned were pretty much how I felt so I guess I'll start with the few things I did liked. I liked the new map you got to explore. Had this FFXIII cocoon vibe. Wish I had known to stay in that area to farm skell weapons otherwise I'd have to slow grind or do all over chapter 13 again. That was about it honestly. Chapter 13 was just that bad. Didn't mind Al too much because it felt like they wrote him like a Marvel character which I guess fits the sitting. I stuck with the dub because it was meme worthy back on the WiiU and I liked a couple of the voices in english but sadly in DE they changed some voices and some had lack luster performance like they were phoning their lines in over the phone where the audio quality was all over the place which made me regret sticking with the dub. But back to chapter 13.The main villain Void has got to be one of the dumbest shoe horned villain out of any rpg. His entire motives make Z and his cronies look intelligent. After reading all the old fan reactions, my biggest gripe really is this chapter was super rushed just so it can merge all the Xenoblade game world by destroying the previous world. I'd hate to see what a future Xenosaga episode 4 is going to be like trying to merge literally EVERYTHING Xeno then destroying everything before it just to Fei, Rex, and Shulk can play Kingdom Hearts in space.

I'm going in with lower expectations for tomorrow based on the fact that the Summer Direct was only a few months ago and the Direct seems a bit too packed enough for a Xeno trailer.XB3 on SW2 drops in December as well, they might want to hold off now for marketing synergy.

Very convuluted in a bad way.

Shion sure didn't need to meet her past self for the Ark to appear in 2. I don't get why the Ark, which is basically U-DO's form in this world from what I understand, would need that in the first place. And how they were able to recreate all those past events in the present is never explained either.
