God damn this game was dogshit. Pure California fantasy-slop from start to end. Not a single redeeming quality. Avellone hasn't produced a good game since Planescape: Torment.
good luck with your low quality shitposting, I hope it brings the joy you need to your day

I like playing on the side of the good guys, and especially like playing on the side of the good guys in a setting where you supposed to play as a villain. It's a shame Obsidian don't put that much effort into rebellion path tho, you can see it in a lot of side content and dlc - people react to you as you've still being a Kyros pawn and expect you to kill and rape them or whatever, with your dialogue choices often based around that as well.
>>4068106this was the game that finally made me accept I dont like turn based combat anymore. tedious grind, zero enjoyment
>>4068106Obsidian aesthetics and art design have been terrible since this or PoE, whichever came first.Ugly immemorable characters.
>>4068393Tyranny doesn't have turn based combat you retard
yeah it was bad. not a single interesting thing about the setting.
>>4068985Unlike you faggot Zoomie, I actually play games and this game was one of the better CRPG revivals. The character creation alone makes it kino.
>>4068106> good game was actually badKindly fuck off
>>4068994>the character creation alone makes this game cinematicZoom zoom.
>>4068999I’m a millenial “unc” as you kids would say.
>>4069022I don't recall most of what you mentioned? Granted, I've played it many years ago and I've never finished it because i was not enjoying the combat.1. Companions were alright. I liked the drug addled historian grandpa well enough. The guy who got stuck in his armour was ok. I don't remember straight up hating anyone except for the furry girl.2. Writing was serviceable. Nothing so terrible so to make me quit on the spot.3. Story had an intriguing premise. Which was the reason I've downloaded it to begin with. They failed to do as much as they could with it, unfortunately. I would love for the whole game to be just moving tokens on the map like it is during the character creation if that means i would get more well written and fleshed out lore.Every time you actually got to be the judge was fun. Tunon was fun. Graven Ashe was likeable. Subverting the will of Kairos and finding loopholes in his laws always felt good. Would be even better if Kairos would show up periodically and clarify that no matter how clever you think yourself to be everything you do is still within "acceptable parameters". I just wish that tyranny would do more with Kairos in general. He is such an intriguing person and yet we get to know almost nothing about him.4. Your companions loving and/or fearing you gave you new abilities in combat. That's the only good thing i can tell you about it. I feel like you should be able to max out both of those for your favourites by the end of the game. Machiavelli style.5. You'd have to be more specific. Where was the woke shit? You shouldn't accuse games of being like veilguard lightly. That was a very particular case of cancer.6. That's a very common affliction. Can you recommend me a couple of games that do not do that? I would be much obliged.7. I don't actually mind that trope. It's cliché for a reason. Being important feels good.
>>4068106What did you expect? did you seriously fall for the Crpg fan larp? you have only yourself to blame.
>>4068994>>4069266Mods deleted my posts talking shit about Tyranny and banned me. Especially the first one was not even particularly inflammatory, just said that the game’s shit and the reasons for it.By liking Tyranny you literally align yourself taste-wise with the type subhuman homunculus that would be a four chan moderator. That should say enough. One of you retards didn’t even finish the game but insists on glazing it, lmao.
>>4069266>I just wish that tyranny would do more with Kairos in general. He is such an intriguing person and yet we get to know almost nothing about him.Honestly the fact that we don't get much of Kairos is what makes the game stand out to me. You have to piece together that Kairos in fact wants everyone in this shitty part of the world dead because these two chucklefucks are too powerful to be left alive in peacetime. The most satisfying route to me was the one where you become the Archon of the Tiers and just carry on as a provincial leader.>4. Your companions loving and/or fearing you gave you new abilities in combat. That's the only good thing i can tell you about it. I feel like you should be able to max out both of those for your favourites by the end of the game. Machiavelli style.Pretty sure you could do that, you just had to metagame a bit.
>>4069438Ban evasion is a bannable offence, newfag.
>>4069440>Kairos>game uses he/she pronouns for gender ambiguityKek. This is the game these faggots here defend just to be contrarian. Genderfluid main antagonist.>>4069443If there was a button I could press to permaban myself from ever visiting this shithole again, I’d press it, circus freak. I’ve been here for so long it’s embarrassing, I wish I were a newfag.
>>4069461>seething newfaggot larping at being an oldfagkekThe list of what will get you perma'd hasn't changed in almost 20 years. But sure, I'll spoonfeed you. Here are two: post pizza on any board that isn't /b/ or /trash/, or post a hashbanned image.Go ahead, I'll wait.
>>4069461>I can't stop coming to a place I hate ;-(
>>4069524Why do you think>see you tomorrow, faggotand>you’re here foreverare catchphrases?
>>4068106
>>4068106It's reactive as FUCK. You can get good three playthroughs out of it and still miss some permutations. It's just a game packed with so much shit for what is comparatively a short CRPG. Spell crafting, multiple spires, Artifact reputation progression, etc.
>>4069266I find people like you interesting because you want things explained when the appeal lies in the mystery. Kyros is the mysterious figurehead.
>>4069535weak people with no self control cope
>>4069649All rpgs should be like thisShorter but deeper
>>4069668Like DPS complaining about that obsession movie because its not explain how the magic thing had magic powersI dont know if its low IQ or a disability or fear of engaging with fiction because they would be seen as cringe or whatFuck realism nigros
>>4069715DSP* duhDont keep up with him but his worst takes still make it to my timeline sometimes
>>4069668>>4069715wiki compiler disorder
>>4069649>>4069710For some reason they're very rare. Tyranny, Alpha Protocol and Age of Decadence are the only ones that come to mind.
>>4069742they're rare because most people play rpgs once and don't even finish that playthrough.
>>4068106>Pure California fantasy-slop from start to end. This is true.>Not a single redeeming quality. This is not true.Runes and cooperation skills are cool. The dialogue module was also nice, since you could hover over shit and it would provide more context. The concept itself is great. >Avellone hasn't produced a good game since Planescape: Torment. You are obfuscating his level of involvement. That is - lying by omission.
>>4070333>The dialogue module was also nice, since you could hover over shit and it would provide more context. Was it actually the first to do that hyperlink thing?
>>4070501>Was it actually the first to do that hyperlink thing?Tbh, I have absolutely no clue. I played it back in 2021, so maybe I'm waaay off about it being good and I'm talking nonsense.
>>4070501Pillars of Eternity technically did it first, but the way Tyranny used it become the norm.
>>4069266>Subverting the will of Kairos and finding loopholes in his laws always felt good.redditbest way to play this game is as a true kyros fearing lawful evil chud. there is one sidedungeon where you find an entire refugee settlement inside the old walls and despite it being an intended main fixture of the quest the game gives you the choice to just outright condemn the entire settlement and execute them all for breaking kyros' law. iirc it makes the rest of the dungeon a slog but its too kino of a decision for me not to do.
>>4068106Problem people had was mistaken expectations. They thought they'd be the BIG BAD when in reality you were Kyros' middle management babysitting two Archons.
>>4071416>people had was mistaken expectationsThis is some alternate history talking point mindrape. I disliked the game because it ended right when it finally started to get interesting.I disliked the game because of the shitty modern 'straight out of coffee shop' dialogue.I disliked the game because it's extremely woke. If I go through negative steam recs, there's barely any mentions of "being le big bad" in any context, and the rare cases where it pops up it's some retarded moral faggotry.Seriously, are you a fucking bot?
>>4071451he's just talking about the earliest takes. marketing didn't help.
>>4068106Soon I'm going to play it. And I'm going to have my own opinion about it
>>4071482daring, are we?
