I've been on the verge of trying it for years, real talk, is Starcrawlers good or at least mostly good? I know the sequel's shit but is the original good? I can't find an honest opinion out of anywhere.

It's alright, worth a try at least. I liked the main (handmade) missions, didn't like the procgen ones, and it could get a bit grindy with the reputation system. Character building was ok, not good, not awful.

I liked it a lot. All the classes felt like they could pull their weight and have some neat gimmicks and graphical flourishes (like the cyberninja flipping around the screen during their attacks, or the force psyker lighting it up with gold shields)
The randomly generated side missions are average but its fun trying to juggle your rep to get rewards from the corps of your choice while trying to not piss others off so they send hit squads after you
The plot wasn't too deep but was solid enough, and you do get some choices to make as it goes that impact how things go down including some bad endings

Shame the game isn't that good because I dig the setting and the approach to playable races. Overall I think I'd like to see more rpgs set in historical settings with added some fantastical elements.

any MTJ, Metatopical Junior College for PC98, but i somehow got the taiwaneses DOS port. a japanese SRPG. pretty fun skill/magic system for each character.

The huge lips are all over the original PC version, but the Playstation version only has lips on the one black guy in the game.

I never really hear of people talking about Jade Cocoon, though I'm sure many played it.

I'm sure people played it but I might be the only person that liked Alundra 2.

The music and unique classes kept me hooked. The story is extremely anime, but the combat is fun to experiment with, without being grindy.
