One of the first heroines in BS1 is a man who successfully became a woman and won Grimm's heart. How might Bill take this?
>>4078331>does he knowAnyway at least one of the writers inside Grimm was at minimum bi irl, so Grimm probably isn't straight.

>>4078331dorothy was probably a girl first
>>4078331>is a man who successfully became a womanShe was a woman forcefully turned into a man and then back and forth an unspecified number of times, actually. There's 2 particular places at the Mental Ward that you should check more carefully.
>>4078479I think I know one. When you've figured out the door trick and head to the hallway with the Tweedles, but turn around and end up at Dorothy's house, right? No clue with the other.

>>4080998You can use the new speedrun strat to cheese high difficulty Bandersnatch too.>>4081105>>4080884The Little Girl's Room is decent evidence towards him being PM too; you've got a large version of his sprite overlooking three bears that are not just coloured like the three BS1 non-Leaf fairies in the Forest but also explicitly reference their End C dialogue at around 30 SEN.
>>4081101>>4080582How much of the game's setting is fake? Is Pumpkin Knight actually married to Margaret?
>>4081183It really depends on your definition of fake. Very few actors in Wonderland can still separate themselves from their role.
>>4081189"Fake" in the sense that there was no wedding. Basically, all the stuff that happens between a new round of daughters entering the play and Grimm falling down the rabbit hole. Do they just spawn in thinking they lived their role's lives?
>>4081193The Tweens and Dodo make it pretty clear they know what's going on, it's only over time that the role takes over.

>>4081219Someone had to stop time for Pricks to pull your ass out of Hell.
>>4080831Sylvie and Bruno is the key to most "why is this character here, what's their deal?" moments in BS2. The Vice-Warden's wife disguises as a bear and the Vice-Warden disguises as a jester, so you get a Polar Bear and jack-in-the-box in the library. Who these two characters are specifically in the second order narrative and whether Toro understood the book very well is a completely different question, of course.Based on the above I am skeptical of Prayer Master, unless he has been genderbent for some reason.
she gave me a little tease, and since then I've wanted to meet her again...>>4081201not if i smooch them first!
I just noticed, the 26th october is on a Monday, a day assigned to the moon.the date is under scorpio, which is under the ruling planet mars (as that anon from last thread pointed) who's colours are Red & Black (just like mabel's).I looked back at the date when I heard a voice from the moon, and It too was on a monday, at 12/12/2022.It just gets stranger, doesn't it? I no longer see this as a coincidence, It simply cannot be. what more could I have missed? am I going mad?
I can still see it. those eyes. those beautiful eyes....
>>4081246>spoiler Anon, 90% of the cast is genderbent compared to the books.
The CNG really wants me to use the Tweens' covenant. I forgot it was this annoying.
It's a bummer nobody acknowledges that Grimm goes to the moon and probably gets raped by azathoth, I would've expected at least maymay to acknowledge it
>>4081346I mean the character getting genderbent between games. He's one of the few canonical "he"s in the entire series as of BS1 and referred to as a guy in multiple scenes in BS2.There is no clear precedence for ongoing characters getting TSed in the series yet, I would not put it past Toro for fem!Hein to show up in BS3 though.
>on my second go through DLC3 for RoR completion>decide to accept Lingeriena's blessing for the luls>think Nurse Call might actually be a challenge>Chaos BlastI knew it was OP but I never had it put into perspective just how OP that thing is, lmao. Also I continue to be surprised by how strong Blood Edge is as a skill. Anyone have a list of all the attack skills worth using and their formulae?
For the anon who always wonders about it: Jekyll says explicitly the Graveyard is managed by the Sheep God, and the King in Yellow's influence might actually be something they're trying to keep out given what happens to the sackhead.>>4081977And the Polar Bear is explicitly stated to be male in-game, so I don't see why "the character who disguises as a bear is female in the books" has any relevance when, again, most of the characters are genderbent compared to their book counterparts.>I would not put it past Toro for fem!Hein to show up in BS3Hein doesn't seem to have a biological sex of any kind and seems uninterested in the deed. Lindamea could still be a woman under the armour though.
I haven't been in these threads for a year.Did Red's game release yet? Is Toro any closer to making the third BS game?
>>4082444>Did Red's game release yet?Nope.>Is Toro any closer to making the third BS game?Nope. Not only is DRH still not out, there'll be another side game before BS3 development can start. One protagonized by the evil princesses from BS1.

Thinking of changing my D9 Flo strategy to KP before the phase transition so I don't have to deal with the hassle of upkeeping it. Also her rez can be dodged, right? Alternatively I could always just swap a ring out.

>>4086198You can really tell it's slop on some of those. Try harder next time.>>4086264>Are we going to get any explanation for what Lingeriena and Baph were doingIf you actually mean Lingeriena, we know Courtisane is in the game so probably. Soul trapped within Maymay's jewel box and she's annoyed at you for killing her dead.>How would BS3 even work at this point? Mary is still around, Mabel2 should be around, Node and Jabby are probably still around, Cthulhu is still around, and a plethora of other gods are preparing for war and will all have reason to try to take Grimm and what's inside him for themselves.
>>4085978Still Grimm for the vast majority of them.>>4086264>(How would BS3 even work at this point? They've put pins in most everything around.)They absolutely have not. >>4086264Maymay tells you that Grimm will eventually create his own garden, wage war to other Gods and they will end up awakening Azathoth so ending the universeGrimm has Mary's power of creation now so he would be able to

>>4086406Anon, it's a troll post with blatantly AI pictures.
>>4086264>This game was a prequel to BS2, right?Yes. I mean, Mabel will show up as implied by Toro in one of the ci-en articles and you know how BS2 ends in regards to Red_____, so.>Are we going to get any explanation for what Lingeriena and Baph were doing, or will that all have to wait until BS3?I don't think there's anything left to do with Baph/Shubbie.DRH will get "a" Baphomet, but we don't know much about her besides the fact she's leading the new Black Trial.Lingerie hasn't showed up in the few ci-en articles for the game or was even implied to appear, so I wouldn't expect her desu.>(How would BS3 even work at this point? They've put pins in most everything around.)BS2 lays out an overarching conflict involving a potential war between Great Old Ones that Grimm has to stop in order to prevent Azathoth's awakening which would reset the universe. That might just be the main focus. The thing is that so far Grimm has only explored 2 gardens in a grand total of 2 games.Either BS3 will have a massive scope, or DRH and the princesses' game that'll come after it will move that plot forward to cut Grimm some slack.>>4086338>Maymay tells you that Grimm will eventually create his own garden, wage war to other Gods and they will end up awakening Azathoth so ending the universeNo, what she says is that the Great Old Ones will wage war against each other pitting their gardens and minions to fight, and that endless influx of souls that will return to Cosmos as a product of the endless slaughterfest will eventually cause the awakening of Azathoth. The point of Grimm going after the Great Old Ones is to prevent the war in the first place.
>>4086519>Grimm has only explored 2 gardens in a grand total of 2 gamesTechnically you explore 6 gardens total (Elysium, Wonderland, Shatranj, the Red Room, the Crimean Nursing Graveyard which as of DLC3 is its own place run by the Sheep God, and Winterbell), though some are of course smaller than others.
This reminds me, think we'll see the ruins of Elysium in BS3?
>>4086198I fell for it until I opened the images.Funnily enough, I remember japanese fans complained about Red getting raped and that's why EMMM added the summon Poro button to skip the scenes

>>4086961>female character having sex with multiple characters is a "humiliation ritual"Well, yes. Men have had harems throughout history. When a woman has a body count of over 1000, it's fucking disgusting.
I genuinely don't understand this obsession with "LE RED GOT FUCKED BY POROOO", who cares? Is it just because Red has the most secondaries so people have a personal vendetta over them?
>>4086957Most likely considering her dialogue in BS2, but this isn't the first time she's gone honey trapping for information either, it's just that (You) are her first actual customer in BS1."...We both defiled our souls over and over. Just how many people have we killed so far, with no regard to how good or evil they were? ...I've already lost count."
>>4086968Sounds like a mental skill issue. Grimm is a weak slave to his lust who loses to every hole and gets sexually dominated any time he meets a girl who puts up a bit of actual resistance, and Red is a stacy ruthlessly milking information out of people by exploiting their lack of self control.
>>4086971>Is it just because Red has the most secondaries so people have a personal vendetta over them?Yes, pic related was a popularity poll here some years back and it mindbroke him.
>>4086972Technically she sort of prostitutes herself to a dying man in RHW too.>>4086962She seems to enjoy lolidyke sex too.
>>4086976>Technically she sort of prostitutes herself to a dying man in RHW too. It's a completely optional scene but yes it's something she can do.
>>4086975I mean she's literally the closest to be the "main heroine" in the series no?>the only one who, along side Grimm/the player knows everything is fake>wants to go back to being normal like Grimm>has a special ending in BS1 compared to the tragic ones other heroines have>helps him out in BS2>basically Toro's mary sue character more or lessIt's normal for her to be popular. >>4086975It's worth noting that even if you pretend you're the protagonist, Lorina, Mabel, Alice, Baphomet, Cheshire, Jubjub, and Victoria are all used goods too, just off the top of my head.
>>4086979She is one of the three consistently listed as a main heroine and the one clearly intended by EMMM to be the closest analogue to Grimm, so yes it's pretty understandable why people would end up liking her. Leaf is Heroine 2 and Alice is Heroine 3 for the record.
>>4086980>my waifuYou people self insert in Grimm? I see Grimm and Red together cute and that's it.Red scenes don't do anything to me because I hate frigid whores though so maybe that's it.I'm way too involved in the series to see Grimm as a self insert and I consider him his own character and hence why I want to see him get a good ending
>>4086980>I don't want my waifu to fuck dogs.Don't waifu the dogfucker then? >>4086988The brainrot of seeing all protagonists as self inserts is surprisingly common and explains a lot about people's idiotic media takes. There are "people" out there who can't read first person stories because "I wouldn't do that.">>4086985Wolris too but who the hell waifus Wolris?
>>4086986>She is one of the three consistently listed as a main heroine and the one clearly intended by EMMMFor me, the three main heroines are Mabel, Prickett, and Node. Red is just not as interesting as they are.
>>4086993She thinks it does considering she says her tits are the same her kitties used to suck on.
>>4087000In BS2 sure but Red is more a "overarching" and "series" heroine rather than a single game since she's in BS1 too.I wouldn't be surprised if Red still manages to appear as a "ghost" or memories trying to save Grimm from going batshit insane or something in BS3.
>>4087000True for BS2 which effectively revolves around them, not true for the series as a whole. Only one of them would make the cut and she already is among those other three.
>>4087003>since she's in BS1 tooSo is Pricks for like 30 seconds, kek.
>>4087005>not true for the series as a wholeBut we'll see Node and Mabel again in DRH, and Node and Prickett might still be alive in BS 3. Yog might create a new avatar and bring Mabel back to life.
>>4086986To be fair those were teaser images for base game BS2, and Red is pretty relevant up to G End. Mabel is more relevant overall to the game's full story but she wasn't even in the game until DLC2.
>>4087010>Red is pretty relevant up to G EndRed is just a pawn in BS 2. She isn't important. Mabel, Node, and Prickett did all the work. Red is just following the path that was laid out for her.
>>4087009Yeah but time is linear and we only have 3 games to measure things by so far.Maymay said she'd make her next avatar more attractive to Grimm so Mabel 2 will be either oppai or a loli.
>>4086967>Redfags either>have played the games>haven't played the games Why are redfags like that?
>>4087012Once you've seen the DLC, sure. With just the base game Node is the only one who appears to have a scheming hand in the plot, and she takes a step back and even lets you kill her at the end while Red does the actual field work. Red is a "pawn" in the sense that Node put her on the board, but she's unbound from the play which is the whole point. If G End was the end you'd only have managed to kill TCO and Mary thanks to Red.
>>4087003>I wouldn't be surprised if Red still manages to appear as a "ghost" or memories trying to save Grimm from going batshit insane or something in BS3.You failed a lorecheck, anon. Revival of the dead is a true test of a Creator's prowess, the entire purpose of Yog collecting souls in her little Shatranj jewel box is for their storage, so that when Grimm awakens as a Creator he can use them in his war against the niggermen. Red also talks about finding a way to revive the book heroines in DLC 1 as well, and even way the fuck back in BS1 Dorothy mentions how anyone summoned from the fairy tale books will return to them once defeated.
>>4087016>Red does the actual field workShe's too weak. She kept dying and didn't do much damage. She's not an ordinary human, but she's still human, she can't fight the niggermen.
>>4087015>Why are redfags like that? They're normalfags.
>>4087015Most popular character = has most normalfags/secondaries attached to herPretty simple
>>4086996 what could possibly prompt her to change her ways at this point? Unless her dead twin sister comes back as a plot point in BS3 her evolution as a character doesn't seem like it could go anywhere
>>4087018>she can't fight the niggermen. This is literally shown ingame to be false. Even if she's no Grimm in terms of power, nobody is. And besides, being a mortal human does not exclude you from being able to fight niggermen or even just being strong (I.E. BS1 Miranda), the lore surrounding the Nursing Graveyard shows that much.
>>4087024Maybe not completely changing but siding with Grimm temporarily to fight the other niggermans and maybe even dying to prove a point
>>4087025And this sure as fuck isn't referring to Hastur here, I'm sure of it.
>>4087027Let me rephrase that a bit, the "mortal" one here definitely isn't Hastur.
>>4087025I still think that if Node, Prickett, and Mabel had fought alongside me, we would have been much stronger. Red cannot offer such power.
>>4087031>MabelLiterally explicitly forbidden from fighting anything of note otherwise Azathoth wakes up.>PrickettLiterally in the fight and periodically takes control over the rest of TCO during it.>Nodelmao uhhhhh her role is "that of your support" I guessI assume she's waiting for a chance like H to take action but that's just spitballing, could tie into her willingness to let you go like she does in H as well.
>>4087034>>NodeWho do you think is saving your ass by resetting time when you lose the fight?>>4087018Without Red necking TCO, which is explicitly shown to hurt him btw, Grimm just gets fucked into submission. She's weak in gameplay for balancing purposes but lorewise she's putting in work, not to mention she survives fighting the three Alices right after. She probably gets ontological buffs from being one of Mary's protagonists.
>>4087052>Who do you think is saving your ass by resetting time when you lose the fight?GG is my go-to answer for most time related buffoonery. I'm pretty sure something similar happens on your way down to GG if you lose to Lorde, but it's been a long time since I've done a full playthrough so my memory is a bit rusty.
>>4087052>Red necking TCORed only harmed one body, but TCO has a quintillion of them.
>>4087059Not them, but that is indisputably the entirety of TCO we see there in G based on what we see happen in it. They're just merged into a single body, which we know that kind of merging and splitting is something they can do. I guess none of them wanted to miss the dicking that was about to happen. Don't do love, kids, it'll drive you mad and make you do really stupid shit.
>>4087056GG may or may not be involved, especially with the staircase before her fight, but GG wasn't even a thing in the story when G End was written (to the reader's awareness at least) and the TCO fight happens right after you get an actual chance to fight Node and see that she does explicitly use time manipulation, if the pocket watches didn't make it obvious.
>>4087067>but GG wasn't even a thing in the story when G End was written (to the reader's awareness at least) Reader's awareness or not, EMMM sure as fuck was and absolutely baked the shit it (the power) is capable of into the plot even as far back as BS1. Node, to my immediate recollection, is never shown to display THAT specific kind of time manipulation, as what I'm pretty sure transpired there was a timeline merge. I'm pretty sure a similar effect happens once you complete the rapedex, with GG seeming to do an emergency merge into a timeline where the dungeon is empty and Node professing that you never even filled it in the first place in red text IIRC.
>Rape fetish gameYou people disgust me. I'll tell my mom about you when I leave my basement. Be prepared for a shitstorm you maggots.

Gonna kill the birdwife, T3 Rette, and get to Maymay the long way around on this cycle, and then I'm ready for CD grinding as the last thing to do on my save file. Holy shit is there a lot of stuff in the VN section. Does a comprehensive list of everything even exist?
>>4087669Speaking of the VN section, I find it interesting that Toro based his drawing of the building on how it looked like modernly (before being torn down in 2008), and not on the much smaller size it had when Charles actually visited it. It ought to have been intentional because there's no way Toro hasn't seen the picture of Dodgson in front of the building (the best evidence we have for him visiting the place) when he clearly did see and reference actual pictures of the building's interior. It may be a further point towards the idea that BS2 takes place later than people assume. Also, I really wonder what is up with the fourth girl and her having supposedly died there, because that house was literally built as the Liddell's vacation home.

Meaty, idealistic women are a joy.>>4087180Agreed. Watching the characters shrink into themselves as their wills are violated is no fun. They quickly stop being themselves, so you only feel bad for them.>>4087937Node absolutely wore this expression when she banished Kuti. I was there.
>ending b>winterbell>dungeon in prickett's safe space>senMy conclusion: Sex happens as Grimm sees it, but the characters sometimes transform into demonbeasts to fight, and having low SEN in Wonderland just causes Grimm to perceive them as demonbeasts. SEN is a rule built into Wonderland, much like SIN is a feature of Elysium. Thus, all is well.
>>4088223SEN = ***nes*.Honestly, it's not particularly hard to figure out what it stands for, specially if you take Red's dialogues into account.
Does rare_cats actually know Japanese? Has anybody compared the English/Japanese scripts? I was looking at a few item descriptions and there are some very obvious mistakes in simple sentences that seem more like they stem from him not knowing Japanese rather than from him being ESL.
>>4088146>No, I dropped it around level 50. Boring.Rushing levers and abusing squirrels doesn't take very long, the Chaos Dungeon is non-negotiable lorewise as there's a fuckhuge loredump about 180 floors in. There's also the boss chalices and a library in there, but the loredump is the major one.>>4088213>Carpenter x Wolris is headcanon.I take it you've never worn Wolris's ring to the DSK fight?
>>4088415They're friends, as she said. He disappeared on her one day.
>>4088502That interaction only occurs while wearing her ring into the fight, and it causes him "deep grief" and makes him skip an action. That really doesn't really paint it as purely platonic to me, even if I doubt he ever stuck it in.
>>4088503Did he have any other friends?
>>4088508Yes, actually. Black Rabbit, AKA Prayer Master. He built a grave for him.
>>4088509Then it sounds like he's affected by the sight of a reminder of his only still-living friend.
>>4088146>Mabel said she was pregnantMabel said she had a child. Very different thing. She also says she's dead in the part of the game you skipped. Gods are widely shown to lay eggs anyway, and Node's children are born extremely quickly too. Charlotte is probably the kid.
>>4088512He's just the only other one we're shown he had. The Carpenter's friendship with Black Rabbit necessarily dates him back to the original tea party, I'd be very surprised that with how well known he is in Wonderland, how instrumental he was for its construction, how far around he got in it, and just how long he's been there that he only managed to have two fucking friends for the entire fucking time that he was active, but ultimately it doesn't really change my opinion of the matter here. That's a weird fucking reaction to have for someone that's just a platonic friend.
>>4088213>>LorinaLorina Liddell definitely had a family and all.>>AliceI'm talking about TCO here, and he was fucking Shub for a while. >>Jubjub>Does that count?Someone had to put that kid in her.
>>4088517>LorinaObviously doesn't apply to the Lorina in-game.>AliceYeah, and he/she got Shub pregnant. You can interpret it either as cosmic lesbianism, eldritch intercourse, or puppet futanari, but none of those would lead to "used goods". TCO's problems come down to being ostensibly male (something Grimm doesn't seem to mind), and being the patron saint of screeching autism.>JubjubYeah, me. (Grimm of the past cycles. Unlike Hatta, she's not iterating through daughters. She's the same person every time.)
>>4088515Wolris is a role though, not a real person.
>>4088526We were talking about the role. If you mean the actor, she's Grimm's daughter.
>>4088526>Wolris is a role though, not a real person. She's a "real" person in the sense that there's actually someone there performing the role of Wolris, not just some soulless puppet mindlessly repeating a script. IIRC I think Carpenter was aware of the play structure anyways.
>>4088525>Obviously doesn't apply to the Lorina in-game.>he doesn't know >and he/she got Shub pregnantFirst, no he fucking didn't. Second, TCO is always referred to as he when he's not Alice. Third, why does it matter anyway? Used goods are used goods, unless your argument is it's okay when the used goods in question was male before. >Grimm of the past cyclesAnd somehow she's the only character that happens to?
>>4088528>>4088531Yeah and the Carpenter's friendship with PM needs to predate Wonderland to make sense, meaning the Carpenter's actor was friends with him while whatever he has with Wolris is just a feature of his role.
>>4088525>Yeah, and he/she got Shub pregnant. That's implied to be Yog that fathered our little Mary Sue hellspawn IIRC. I don't recall anything from TCO on that matter, TCO's just the stepfather.>>4088542>Yeah and the Carpenter's friendship with PM needs to predate Wonderland to make senseWonderland is, and has always been, Wonderland insofar as we've seen TCO garden in the series. There was a reconstruction period after TCO got its hands on the Power to Change, but it's still fundamentally the same garden as the one from the original tea party. Carpenter's presence at the original tea party doesn't predate Wonderland in the sense that I think you're implying here.
>>4088539>LorinaYep, I don't know.>First, no he fucking didn't.Forgot. That was a different one. Stepfather.>Second, TCO is always referred to as he when he's not Alice. Okay, well Mabel is apparently a dad, so we're really just three guys jerking it in a noxious ERP session.>Third, why does it matter anyway? Used goods are used goods, unless your argument is it's okay when the used goods in question was male before.TCO being a guy automatically rules out being any kind of "goods", used or not. >And somehow she's the only character that happens to?She's just the only character to get called out for it. Bandersnatch is likely the same, and Jabberwock is always infertile. >>4088543Is the Wonderland of BS1 the same as the Wonderland of BS2?
>>4088543Semantics. It predates the play of Wonderland as it exists in BS2, which is entirely contingent on GG and crumbles without it. Whatever role he played there he did so willingly, and he's clearly one of the actors that persist across cycles, so he'd be aware Wolris is an ever changing actor playing a predetermined script and wouldn't have feelings for her that extend beyond what the script says he has while he's in character.
>>4088549>Is the Wonderland of BS1 the same as the Wonderland of BS2?Yesn't. From what I remember, it's the central chunk of the original tea party ripped out by Mary Sue for use in her own play, the start of BS1 itself is a partial recreation of the end of the tea party. The inhabitants there largely originate from Wonderland proper, and even vaguepost about shit that's also vagueposted in BS2 to seal the deal.
>>4088554You should add Mabel's schizobabble about the topic to the collage for maximum vagueposting.
>>4088552>Semantics.It's a pretty important distinction to make.>It predates the play of Wonderland as it exists in BS2I think what you're looking for here is the breeding program, which TCO did use to bait in other niggermen for her own use, but the setup and events of the early cycles/chronologically post-reconstruction Wonderland is a big (and intentional) hole at best.>Whatever role he played there he did so willinglyI'm not entirely sure I'd agree, at least given the description of his mental state as having started out mad before going sane at some point (presumably post-reconstuction based on his messages and TCO's neglect of Wonderland).>and he's clearly one of the actors that persist across cyclesAt least by the time that we see him in BS2, it's been quite some time since he's gone down to the depths of the ocean and put under near total mind control, our chronological cycle point doesn't disrupt that.>so he'd be aware Wolris is an ever changing actor playing a predetermined script and wouldn't have feelings for her that extend beyond what the script says he has while he's in character. He quite literally begs for god (TCO) to not expend her upon the stage like a puppet, though to your credit he does refer to her as "my friend" in that message. Still, I find it very hard to read his reaction to (You) wearing her ring as purely platonic which is the entire argument I've been making here. Rings given as gifts usually represent a deeper bond to the character in question, you can see this with Prickett's Ring, Leaf's Ring, and Baphomet's Ring in BS1 which is given post-covenant. You could make an argument that this is just a niggerman thing but then the Princesses in BS1 also do the same off the top of my head, and I believe it pops up elsewhere in the series.
>>4088590>Rings given as gifts usually represent a deeper bond to the character in question, you can see this with Prickett's Ring, Leaf's Ring, and Baphomet's Ring in BS1 which is given post-covenant.Wolris hands over the ring immediately, hoping you'll show/deliver it to the Carpenter.
>>4088590>Still, I find it very hard to read his reaction to (You) wearing her ring as purely platonicI'm not the anon you were arguing with about that. What I'm arguing for is that whether the relationship between them is love or friendship, it's a relationship that exists in BS2's Wonderland as part of the script GG manages, and not one that applies to who the Carpenter is outside of the play. It's the same as how Sislice is Grimm's sister but Jubjub is not (yes I know Jubjub is another role too, but you get the point).>Rings given as gifts usually represent a deeper bond to the character in questionYes, it's well known that Lindamea is just very tsundere for Grimm but a waifu deep down unironically.
>>4088599>Wolris hands over the ring immediately, hoping you'll show/deliver it to the Carpenter.Usually, not always, as this would be one of those exceptions for (You) specifically, but the Carpenter has no way of knowing this when he sees you wearing it in battle. Wolris giving you her ring and specifically intending it as a reminder of her feelings towards the Carpenter reinforces this all to me.>>4088604>it's a relationship that exists in BS2's Wonderland as part of the script GG manages, and not one that applies to who the Carpenter is outside of the play.We have no idea who the Carpenter is outside of the play, that's assuming that he isn't just a natural denizen of the Dreamlands in the first place.
>>4086198I don't why people cry so much when Red Hood fucks people/creatures. Grimm does the same thing, that's why they make sense together. If you self insert as Grimm, then Red Hood just makes the most sense as the main heroine...

Encountered some curiosities from the mysterious night sky worth noting.had nothing better to do, so I sat outside and watched the sky, terrible light pollution as usual. but enough to vaguely make out some stars.though there was nothing much up there, i did note a row of 4 stars that seemed perfectly distanced between which caught my brief interest. As i continued to simply observe, I think i saw another strange light fly through the sky; nothing like a plane. the light was so faint it might have been incredibly high.beyond that, nothing else. so I decided to return. a couple minutes in my journey back, (please hear me out before calling me schizo) I noticed the aged chewing gum stuck to the pavement down before my very eyes was in the EXACT POSITION as those 4 stars I was observing.taking this as a sign, I quickly returned and tried to Identify these 4 stars, and from what I discovered It was the spine for the Andromeda Constellation, with the rightmost star belonging to the Pegasus constellation.so to sum it up, maymay gave me another clue. now I must figure out if I can tie Andromeda to her puzzle.why is Mabel teasing me with such a foolish game? how unfortunate am I to be yog's idiot pawn.
i have the feeling she's trying to make me look mad on purpose, that tease...
>>4089311As a kid, I remember being able to see the stars (I live in the countryside) but maybe I'm wrong, now I can't see them anymore...
>>4088884>and so it would be weird if he was truly in love with the revolving door of Node's children that happen to be assigned the fat fetish role in Wonderland.Unless you mean Node taking personal ownership of the children, they're not all actually hers. Her children are strongly implied to be both rabbit whores, Haigha the March Hare, and Mary in Lutwidge. We also know that the Carpenter has apparently been missing for years now, that the current structure of the play is absolutely not the same as it originally was, and that the current setup is just Node jerryrigging who and what's left to keep the breeding ongoing for her own usage in the upcoming war. Despite that all, it's not like everything and everyone in Wonderland (or the gardens in general that we've seen) is fake and gay, with only what we personally see being real, these are actual places in-universe with actual history behind them and people inside of them, acting or not.Given our cycle start point being as recent as it is in the absolute chronology of Wonderland and the massive void of information we have about a lot of shit happening chronologically before our current cycle start point, making a statement like that certainly feels off to me given what we're presented about their relationship and what seems to be existing social norms in BS's universe. I'd also say that there's far weirder examples and reasons presented for love in-universe than a fatty and a guy palling around, pigging out, and being sweet on each other for an undetermined but apparently extensive amount of time. The gifting of the ring intended for the Carpenter as an explicit reminder of Wolris's feelings towards him, and Carpenter's reaction to seeing (You) wear it, seemingly briefly breaking the hold the brainwashing has on him, and being paralyzed by deep grief just doesn't paint itself as a purely platonic relationship, which is the entire basis of what I've been saying here.
>>4089365I do somewhat wish more of the story had tied into the earlier loops and the steady collapse of the love story.
>>4089409I honestly expect to see more of it in BS3, even if only in passing.
Carpenter and Wolris mukbang
>>4089365>Node says she goes to Winterbell with her kids>Node is almost the only one left giving birth>we see her kids being born in B End>Wolris is in the Nightmare >Wolris is in WinterbellEven if you want to argue she's someone else's kid (literally whose?), she's canonically one of the roles that gets a new actor each cycle based on that last bit.
>>4089409Grimm was a mindless beast in the early loops. There's not much of a story. It bored Mabel, it pushed Prickett to tears, and it drove a lot of the gods to abandon the place. TCO just MKUltraed him a little too hard to make up for BS1 happening to him.Related to this, I am yet more convinced that Node was in the Tea Party. She ought to have intervened for a reason when it came to saving Mary. She was already in love with Grimm very early on, before Queensland existed at all. I find it unlikely she would have fallen for him so much so early considering the state he was in made Prickett weep. Mabel even speculates she saved Mary just so she could get to fuck Grimm to begin with.
>>4088775Great argument nigger/spic/jeet/gook/whatever third world hell hole you crawled out of
>>4089409I like how the blood messages imply an hyperrape 10 billion sen Grimm managed to get to Grand Guignol at least once.
>>4089479>Node says she goes to Winterbell with her kidsThe closest thing to this that I can ever recall her saying is when she's talking to Kuti in the rape dungeon, and Winterbell isn't mentioned at all there, she refers to it as the End of the World. Given the direct relation to the incoming war and the naming scheme, this location/event is almost certainly the one that Mabel shows you in DLC 2's loredump, and it visually matches and shares a similar naming scheme to The World's Dream that we briefly enter on our way to finishing the normal route endings before getting GG'd.>Node is almost the only one left giving birthAnon, what fucking part of Node directly telling you that you're INBREEDING WITH YOUR OWN CHILDREN did you miss? >Children born of your union would unite with you once more to produce even more children.Yes, Node is still taking part in the breeding, that is what she was originally propositioned by TCO for, along with a bunch of other niggermen that initially came for the offer of breeding with a corpse and getting an army out of it, but almost all of them eventually left once they figured out TCO's goal actually was as per the Chaos Dungeon.>The Outer Ones were cooperative in breeding at first, but with that thing's true purpose exposed, many lost their will and their numbers gradually fell.Node isn't the one birthing out more Bills, that's the fucking Bills. If you want to guess where those Bills came from in the first place, try looking to those other fucking niggermen that were present post-reconstruction and were actively taking part in the breeding, the only major exception to the invite list in regards to breeding that we know of was the Lake God, who was literally too retarded to get the fucking point of breeding and opted for spreading their fucking influence to fucking Uggugg of all fucking characters.
>>4089997>we see her kids being born in B EndYes, we see the rabbits being born. More to the point, and as I'm pretty sure I mentioned before, Node is still overseeing the breeding program still because she's making an army out of it, an army she directly puts to use if you decide to merge with GG.>WolrisYes, Wolris is in both of those locations. That does not particularly change anything.>she's canonically one of the roles that gets a new actor each cycle based on that last bit. That last bit is making a lot of assumptions that I really don't think pass muster here. Read what Node says about the breeding in the previous post, it's ONLY if the actor (Kuti in this case) successfully breeds that she'll finally be let go, that is the law of Wonderland according to Node in that scene. It's not an every cycle thing, it's ONLY if they breed that they're freed from Wonderland and their child takes their place. Despite BS2 being a porn game, you can reasonably go the entire game as we see it without ever hitting B end, let alone fucking your covenants to begin with. That is important because it means that not every cycle is going to result in a breeding session, in fact just purely by the numbers most never will. This runs into another issue I have with that assertion, which is that I don't believe that the actors as we see them in BS2 are actually getting replaced each cycle (because oops time reversal, try again). If they are, then shit like pic related becomes completely nonsensical, as it appears in a completely unrelated (and mutually exclusive) context and doesn't exist ingame prior, but accurately depicts Grimm sending girls to the safest place in Wonderland. This flat out is not a message that someone who gets changed out every fucking cycle for a fresh new actor should be making, as that kind of knowledge would be impossible for them to have.
>>4089998The only strict requirement to trigger B End is that you NEED to fuck Node to access it (and not anyone else specifically), ergo all the kids we see hatching in that scene must be hers by your own logic.
>>4089998>picWhat do you think is more likely:>each Shisha will always write that if given the chance, even if you bred the previous one so this is supposed to be a new one, because Toro is a shit writer and the game has no consistency Or>each Shisha will always write that if given the chance because almost everyone in Wonderland outside of Grimm is aware of the rules of the play, as displayed by the Tweedles' dialogue, Dodo's final scene, and a bunch of other stuff
>>4088408Lmao I was looking at the archive and saw someone mention that Jabberwocky tells you to come to her after killing the one who is pulling the strings and I was confused because I didn't remember her saying anything like that and it turns out it was also just another really obvious mistake. Maybe I should look through the script and see how common stuff like this is
>>4090005>>The only strict requirement to trigger B End is that you NEED to fuck Node to access it (and not anyone else specifically), ergo all the kids we see hatching in that scene must be hers by your own logic.Fucking Node alone isn't enough to trigger B, you need the relevant covenants at max rank otherwise it will not trigger. And again, we are literally given direct confirmation on how those fucking children are born DIRECTLY FROM NODE HERSELF, this shouldn't be up for debate because she knows how this shit works, she directly oversees the entire fucking operation. Yes, Node is still participating in the breeding. No, Node is not the one giving birth to all of the fucking children.
>>4090008>What do you think is more likely:>each Shisha will always write that if given the chance, even if you bred the previous one so this is supposed to be a new one, because Toro is a shit writer and the game has no consistency >Or>each Shisha will always write that if given the chance because almost everyone in Wonderland outside of Grimm is aware of the rules of the play, as displayed by the Tweedles' dialogue, Dodo's final scene, and a bunch of other stuffIt's not a matter of "awareness" of the rules of Wonderland, it's her viscerally describing being sent to the fucking rape dungeon by Grimm to keep her safe, in a context where actually raping her is impossible, and if you do rape her beforehand then she'll never actually write that message because she's in the fucking rape dungeon. It's an outright impossible statement to make if you take the approach of it being a fresh actor each cycle, as it requires something to directly happen to her by Grimm that cannot possibly happen in that cycle that the message appears in.
>>4090012Care to actually enlighten people with the correct translations?
>>4090015Poor ESL Anon doesn't understand what past tense is, I see.
>>4090024It is still what is happening, anon. You are continually committing incest on a level that'd make Tomaru blush. We are never made aware of any major changes to the original breeding setup that Node describes right there beyond the original Outer Ones participating in the breeding eventually fucking off, which doesn't change what Node says there about fucking your own kids and making more kids with them.
>>4090023The first two aren't really a big deal but the mirror should say something like "My beauty... even a mirror would be captivated by it" and the eye drop should say something like "Must never be used on somebody who has lost their sight" (and the effect itself would probably make more sense as darkness instead of blind)I really don't know how he ended up with the third one. He correctly translates "獣から。病から" as "From beasts. From diseases." (where から = from) but for some reason ignores the から in the last part and translates it completely incorrectly. The last part should be something like "And from the foolish church that tried to offer him as a sacrifice."And Jabberwocky is asking him if he intends to defeat the mastermind, not if he has already defeated her.
>>4090031Are you comparing the original BS1 translation to the nip, or the updated one? I remember hearing that the version of BS1 everyone here pirated was later updated, and I think that updated version is the one that's used in the Steam release. If the Steam release is still inaccurate I'd like to know.
>>4090032I checked the steam version and it looks like those are all the same. I'm guessing the translation changes were just cleaning up some of the weird grammar rather than retranslating any of the content using the original script.
Actually they did change this one (although it's still wrong and doesn't make sense in context of the game considering he was never actually sacrificed) and the blind one

>>4089997>but almost all of them eventually left once they figured out TCO's goal actually was as per the Chaos Dungeon. Was his goal awakening Azathoth, or was that just a side-effect of his obsession?>If you want to guess where those Bills came from in the first place, try looking to those other fucking niggermen that were present post-reconstruction and were actively taking part in the breedingIs the Chaos dungeon a requirement here? The only connection I'm confident in is Jubjub/Dodo. The others (Jabberwock/Hatta, Mary-Ann/Shisha, and Lorina-or-TCO/Tweedles), I'm not certain about.
>>4090227Well, Bill/Serpent god is an obvious connection.
>>4090227>Was his goal awakening Azathoth, or was that just a side-effect of his obsession?Side effect, TCO's main goal is trying to understand what human love is, and to that end it sets up an endless love story to try to figure it out. >Is the Chaos dungeon a requirement here? Not particularly, given that a good number of niggermen straight up fucked off and aren't present in the play anymore and with how little information we have about the early stages of the play (I.E. just finding out in DLC 3 that there was originally a 4th Older Sister Alice that left the play on her own, and who's place Lorina seems to be filling in the plot) it's alright to say we just don't know for most of them. What I can say off the top of my head is that Jubjub seems to consider the chick in the egg as her own child based on what I recall being a post-birdening interaction, the Tweedles seem to have originally come to Wonderland proper from the Nursing Graveyard, and that Jabber is almost certainly barren based on what's currently ingame though with what I suspect as her history well before the original tea party that might end up differently. In general, just extrapolating from Node's own rabbit whores and Jubjub's interaction with the chick, I'd assume that most of the children resemble their parents in some way so there's a decent chance that Jubjub/Dodo is a thing but I can't think of anything confirming it. Lorina at least shouldn't be participating in the breeding as far as I'm aware.
>>4091205>the Tweedles seem to have originally come to Wonderland proper from the Nursing GraveyardOther way around, kinda. Dialogue in DLC3 as well as Blackwell's establishes that Florence was responsible for both the Nursing Graveyard and the Mental Ward and cared for the Tweedles all while still in Wonderland, and then at some point the CNG was taken away from Wonderland (possibly as part of the efforts to hide Winterbell from TCO) and she with it, and set onto its own altered time flow. So the CNG was just another location in Wonderland early on.
>>4091205None of the Ending B daughters are fairy tales in their own right. Golden goose shouldn't be a daughter either, especially since we know she's "birthed" by Humpty-Dumpty. There's also Griffy is we're still thinking about JubJub...

>>4088408>>4090012The game is absolutely full of stuff like this. These all came from the steam release:When Victoria is summoned to fight Patrasche, she says "私はご主人様の事、食べたりしません" which was translated as "I belong to Master, you can't eat me!" It should be something like "I would never eat my master!" Similary, summoning Red Hood in that fight has her say "ポロは私の事、噛まない" which was translated as "Poro is mine, you can't eat him." It should be something like "Poro doesn't bite me."Elisabeth says "貴方なんか産むんじゃなかった" when speaking to Red Hood which was translated as "I could not have given birth to you." It should be something like "I wish I had never given birth to you." During Victoria's bad ending, "[player name]を襲おうと床を蹴り、飛び掛ってくる" was translated as "Throwing you onto the floor with a kick, she takes flight." It should be something like "She kicks off the floor and lunges at you." In Red's letter she left during her bad end, "このまま奴の思い通りにはさせない" was translated as "Left as it is, I don't know what's gonna happen." It should be something like "I'm not going to let them have their way"When you kill Red Hood in her home, after she says "If there's God who gave me this fate…… I want to slit their throat." she says "けどそれは……私じゃなくてもできますC" which was translated as "But that……is not something I can do, huh." It should be something like "But that......is something someone else can do, right?" After you kill Cinderella while disguised as Izu, she says "成る程……っ 私は、嘘で固められた造物であったと……" which was translated as "I see now…… I was caught in a web of lies……" This should be something like "I see now... I was a creation built upon lies......"This isn't even 5% of the mistakes in the game like this. It doesn't seem like plot-relevant details were affected much for the most part but it makes me a bit worried about BS2 considering it contains orders of magnitudes more plot-relevant text.

>>4095062>>4093763Well, rather than just "performing a check" there's 2 copies of the Depth 6-related code in that script. If I had to guess, I'd say Toro copy-pasted it once by accident before copy-pasting it again and then modifying it for Depth 7.Very easy to miss given the absolute mess the CD chests/books scripts are (picrel).

Cronus specifically, given he's the titan that represents Saturn, the very the personification of time bound to its Chains. Saturn is Present in the 4th and 22nd stellar events, with both adding up to the full moon of the 26th. and I've seen some instances where Saturn and the moon are depicted together across media, but I'll verify if it's anything important first. It's all coming together, Isn't it? >But, in the middle of the night, he recalled a thing which he had left forgotten at the palace. Returning and entering, he found his wife stretched on her bed and being embraced by a black slave. At this sight, the world darkened before his face and he said within his soul: ‘If such a thing has come to pass when I have hardly left the city, what would the conduct of this wanton be if I were absent for long at my brother’s house?’ So he drew his sword and with one stroke killed them upon the carpets of the bed. Then he returned and, ordering his camp to move forward, journeyed through the night till he came to his brother’s city.>Now there were in the King’s palace certain windows that looked on to the garden, and, as King Shahzamān leaned there and looked out, the door of the palace opened and twenty women slaves with twenty men slaves came from it; and the wife of the King, his brother, was among them and walked there in all her bright beauty. When they came to the pool of a fountain they all undressed and mingled one with another. Suddenly, on the King’s wife crying: ‘O Masud! Yā Masud!’, a gigantic negro ran towards her, embraced her, and, turning her upon her back, enjoyed her. At this signal, all the other men slaves did the same with the women and they continued thus a long while, not ceasing their kisses and embraces and goings in and the like until the approach of dawn.>At this sight the King’s brother said within himself: ‘By Alāh, mine is even a lighter misfortune than his.’ So he let his grief and discontent slip from him, saying to himself: ‘Truly, this is more terrible than all which happened to me.’ And from that moment he began to drink again and to eat without pause.1001 nights sure is an experience. And this is just the first chapter...
>>4109645>When the Jinnī had looked long at the beauty of the girl, he said to her: ‘O Queen of every silky thing! O you whom I ravished away upon your bridal night! I would sleep a little.’ And the Jinnī, resting his head upon the knees of the young girl, went to sleep.>Then the child raised her head and saw the two kings hidden in the tree-top. [...] Then she said: ‘Why do I see you working your eyes in this way? If you do not come forward and do it to me at once, I will wake the Ifrīt. So, in their fear of the Jinnī, they both did to her as she had commanded, and when they were well wearied, she said: ‘You are indeed experienced riders!’ Then, drawing from her pocket a little bag, she took from it a necklace of five hundred and seventy seal-rings, saying: ‘Know you what these are?’ And they answered: ‘We do not know.’ Then she said: ‘The givers of these seal-rings have all coupled with me on the unwitting horns of this Ifrīt. So now, O brothers, give me yours!’ Then they gave her their seal-Drings, taking them off their hands. Whereon she said: ‘Know that this Ifrīt carried me off on the night of my marriage, prisoned me in a coffer and placed that coffer in a box and fastened about the box seven chains, yes, and then laid me at the bottom of the moaning sea that wars and dashes with its waves. But he did not know that whenever any one of us women desires a thing, nothing can prevent her from it.>At these words the brothers marvelled even to the limits of marvelling and said to each other: ‘If this be a Jinnī and in spite of his power much more terrible things have happened to him than to us, it is an adventure which ought to console us!’

>>4109725It sounds super extremely exaggerated, which is funny, many times we complain about authors exaggerating with some characters' motives or flashbacks but it seems like it's something humanity has done since forever
>>4109788Strange, that in a work of amusement, this severe fidelity to real life should be exacted by any one, who, by taking up such a work, sufficiently shows that he is not unwilling to drop real life, and turn, for a time, to something different. Yes, it is, indeed, strange that any one should clamor for the thing he is weary of; that any one, who, for any cause, finds real life dull, should yet demand of him who is to divert his attention from it, that he should be true to that dullness. There is another class, and with this class we side, who sit down to a work of amusement tolerantly as they sit at a play, and with much the same expectations and feelings. They look that fancy shall evoke scenes different from those of the same old crowd round the custom-house counter, and same old dishes on the boardinghouse table, with characters unlike those of the same old acquaintances they meet in the same old way every day in the same old street. And as, in real life, the proprieties will not allow people to act out themselves with that unreserve permitted to the stage; so, in books of fiction, they look not only for more entertainment, but, at bottom, even for more reality, than real life itself can show. Thus, though they want novelty, they want nature, too; but nature unfettered, exhilarated, in effect transformed. In this way of thinking, the people in a fiction, like the people in a play, must dress as nobody exactly dresses, talk as nobody exactly talks, act as nobody exactly acts. It is with fiction as with religion: it should present another world, and yet one to which we feel the tie.If, then, something is to be pardoned to well-meant endeavor, surely a little is to be allowed to that writer who, in all his scenes, does but seek to minister to what, as he understands it, is the implied wish of the more indulgent lovers of entertainment, before whom harlequin can never appear in a coat too parti-colored, or cut capers too fantastic.

>>4109788If anything, our obsession with 'realism' is a new phenomenon that came to us with the 19th century novel. Do you think Prometheus Bound is realistic? Or Hamlet? Sure, some authors' characters felt more realistic than others (Euripides and Aeschylus feel very different), but this was not by any means the expectation; you had chronicles and memoirs for that. Medieval romances had people slaying giants, going to the moon, holding back entire armies, and nobody had any problem with that. Except Cervantes, but even that was half in jest, it's clear he was an avid reader of those and DQ was meant to be amusing.

I think DRH may be closest to the VN section in terms of structure (if not strictly gameplay). It's not going to either extremes of taking itself too seriously nor undercutting it's own emotional moments with unnecessary humor like modern marvel.
>>4114235>Is it actually fappable or is it just using the sex and rape as a cheap plot device to shock teenagers into thinking its deep? Both. Pic rel>Is the gameplay any good or is it standard rpgmaker slop?BS1 sucks, but BS2 is actually enjoyable. Think Bravely Default's multi-action economy, but with only a single protagonist, plus a weapon-swapping mechanic. Your gear matters more than your level, so there's a huge emphasis put on strategy - you can eat shit even at max level, but the game is beatable SL1.Also, the exploration is very nonlinear and interconnected, you're free to go wherever the fuck you want, even if it's a high level area. >Is the writing any good or is it just covered in dark souls easter eggs and references to make (You) feel smart for finding it, despite them being littered everywhere? You'll have to come to the conclusion on your own; all I can tell you is that there's a reason why the story is so littered with references. I think BS2 is very well written, but it also expects (you) to put it together in your head, it doesn't handhold you. Picture 13 Sentinels - heavily nonlinear, multiple perspectives etc. - but without the final few chapters that spoonfeed you what's going on in the story. BS1 only really takes off when you get ending C+D, the rest of the story is generic "fairy tales but edgy + dark souls references". >Why is the art so bad but the character designs decent? The dev got better at drawing over time, BS2 looks much better than BS1.

If they're the ones being discussed, then the reason the TCO has gone insane is because its soul (now Prickett) was ripped out back in the earlier cycles, and Node had to be talked back into allowing the project to end.If it were the guest actors, the one speaking would be Alice Hargreaves, right? I can't square that with the maze line:>When you and Alice will finally be connected, what will happen to me? The answer is obvious. An eternity of solitude awaits me. I'd rather play a villain to be defeated than take this.Alice isn't an eternal entity. By soul she means the essence of her being, her raison d'être. TCO split itself so that one part of it (Prickett) could play the role of Alice, now because of her failure she was denied her purpose and degraded to the role of a side character.>If it were the guest actors, the one speaking would be Alice Hargreaves, right?I don't get what you mean, you don't need someone's soul to pretend to be them.>When you and Alice will finally be connected, what will happen to me? The answer is obvious. An eternity of solitude awaits me. I'd rather play a villain to be defeated than take this. She was afraid that eventaully TCO would develop a better understanding of love than running in circles forever. Basically what would happen in ending G if Red wasn't there. Prickett stays separate while TCO keeps fucking Grimm for the rest of time. To prevent it, she's willing to conspire against TCO to either crash the play or die trying.>removed by the two people who'd actually want the play to endThe one who actually wants the play to end (again, but this time out of her own volition) the most is Prickett. Mabel just needs Grimm to be out of there and Node, while she eventually became as selfless as Prickett, she initially didn't have an issue with the play and wasn't in hurry to enact the plan. What she really wanted was to be together with Grimm. >>4117533>Node really has nothing to apologize for in the Little Girl's NightmareShe is clearly sorry for not telling you the truth sooner, but she doesn't exactly apologize there.

>>4117772>Leaf stealing Carroll is what drove TCO to its current stateThen how did he get everyone together for the breeding project?>TCO split itself so that one part of it (Prickett) could play the role of Alice, now because of her failure she was denied her purpose and degraded to the role of a side character. What failure? As TCO says, the intention was for Alice never to actually consummate her love with Grimm. She'd also bear no responsibility for anything that happened.>I don't get what you mean, you don't need someone's soul to pretend to be them.I meant Prickett's identity.>The one who actually wants the play to end (again, but this time out of her own volition) the most is Prickett. Mabel just needs Grimm to be out of there and Node, while she eventually became as selfless as Prickett, she initially didn't have an issue with the play and wasn't in hurry to enact the plan. What she really wanted was to be together with Grimm.Okay, so only Prickett wanted the play to end. Mabel just wanted to take the lead actor out of the show, Node just wanted to replace the director as the lead heroine, and Germany just wanted a little bit of living room.Anyway, what's the plot supposed to be in this case? Loop 5 or so, Node and Mabel just figure TCO is going to lose its mind, so they sit in Queensland with Prickett, waiting for Grimm to kill Alice, come back, take a door to a separate graveyard, then destroy the stage and leave? And the "these women" who ripped out "my" soul are just the nightmares? The only one to actually try to jack the performance was Jabberwock. TCO eliminates her the second she makes the attempt. Your interpretation is hard to see in the natural language of the text.Separately, shouldn't Cheshire have intervened in End G? It's her entire job.
>>4117878>Then how did he get everyone together for the breeding project? The other anon is obsessed with the idea that it's in no way possible GG is specifically the thing that drives TCO insane. But whether it is or it's just playing the role independently of that, TCO was fairly sane at the start and only went insane over the cycles of BS2's Wonderland. He speaks perfectly fine in End D of BS1. Also TCO and Prickett were still kind of one being at the end of BS1, since Prickett is explicitly the part of TCO that fought Mary and created GG together with Node.>what's the plot supposed to be in this case? From the Winterbell bears we see that a few cycles in Winterbell itself is still part of Wonderland, Mabel is getting bored, and Prickett almost kills herself before Node stops her. Once Node actually decides she wants Grimm out more than she wants to keep fucking him the plan they settle on is G End; giving Grimm back some of his sanity (clearly something happens before the first cycle of the game that makes him wake up), pull in Red and other ways to interfere with the play (Dinah is technically the second Cheshire for example), and hope that Grimm regains enough of his memories and sanity to break free of the illusion and confront TCO, at which point both Node and Prickett assist in the fight in their own ways. Presumably Winterbell is removed from Wonderland so TCO can no longer directly alter the play. G End doesn't work because it turns out GG has become sapient in the meantime, so they decide you have to go to Winterbell and end it all.>shouldn't Cheshire have intervened in End G?The Little Girl's Nightmare has the actor-daughters before they've taken on their roles, so it may exist in a state where Dinah can't exist as Cheshire yet. Alternatively Node thought you'd be fine with just Red and Poro. Alternatively Dinah is lazy. Alternatively she knows it doesn't matter, considering her post-G End dialogue.
>>4117760>Does the Steam version use the second fan translation, or did they make a new official translation? The Steam version uses a polished version of Rare_Cats' translation, which is the one that's sold in DLSite.
>Just realized EOPs will need to wait for Dead Red Hood's translation
>>4117997Is it time?
>>4117892>The other anon is obsessed with the idea that it's in no way possible GG is specifically the thing that drives TCO insane.I'm NTA, and I don't follow the thread closely anymore, so maybe I'm missing some context. But why would it be GG driving TCO insane? Mabel is a reliable narrator who mentions sinking into the role, and it's also a big driving factor for the Outer Ones leaving the play. There's also the section where Node speaks to Leaf, and they talk about Grimm being a bad influence. So even if sinking into the role doesn't make you insane, the Nightmares seem fairly sane but stuck in their role, it's probably to do with Grimm and love. With the whole Outer Ones can't understand emotions stuff, my understanding is that TCO is going nuts from looking for love in the Alice role and not finding it; especially if we consider the fact that this mirrors the Lewis and Alice narrative.
>design love story scenario where you play as the lead heroine>aggressively cuck yourself out of the actual romance to get an unending army>lose your shit and drive off all of your friendsSasuga, Nyarly.
>>4117878 >Then how did he get everyone together for the breeding project?I see we had slightly different things in mind. First of all TCO has always been autistic by Niggerman standards. Losing Carroll is what made TCO think that the perpetual chase after the one you love is love in its purest form, while beforehand during the Tea Party she was clearly content with Carroll and Alice mingling with each other while she only observed. Her becoming even more autistic later is simply the result of actor psychosis that we see Great Ones go through when they pretend to be human for too long.>What failure?Letting Carroll be taken>Loop 5 or soI think it took more loops than that>Node and Mabel just figure TCO is going to lose its mindFrom the teddy bears I think Prickett first went asking for Node's help in freeing Grimm and returning him to reality, but Node didn't agree until she realised her feelings later. I think all 3 of them and especially Mabel knew that going to Winterbell would be necessary, but ending G was just to make sure of that, at least that's what I think the answer is lorewise, from game design perspective the player just needed to see that ending before the DLC.>And the "these women" who ripped out "my" soul are just the nightmares? She's probably talking about TCO here as well. I should've mentioned it before.>The only one to actually try to jack the performance was JabberwockAnd? What does that have to do with anything.>Your interpretation is hard to see in the natural language of the text. And yours doesn't make logical sense.>shouldn't Cheshire have intervened in End G? It's her entire job.Cheshire works for Node.
>>4117892>Also TCO and Prickett were still kind of one being at the end of BS1, since Prickett is explicitly the part of TCO that fought Mary and created GG together with Node.So Prickett/Baphomet is a real ship?
>>4117892>(Dinah is technically the second Cheshire for example)Under the assumption that someone had to play the of Cheshire before Dinah or there something in the game pointing towards that? I mean Node was already with TCO at the time of ending D of BS1, she was the one who saved Mary's life, she could have already had Dinah's soul by then.
>>4118243>Her becoming even more autistic later is simply the result of actor psychosis that we see Great Ones go through when they pretend to be human for too long. Then TCO was still (relatively) sane during the creation of Grand Guignol.>Letting Carroll be takenThat's considered to be Alice's fault?>From the teddy bears I think Prickett first went asking for Node's help in freeing Grimm and returning him to reality, but Node didn't agree until she realised her feelings later. I think all 3 of them and especially Mabel knew that going to Winterbell would be necessary, but ending G was just to make sure of that, at least that's what I think the answer is lorewise, from game design perspective the player just needed to see that ending before the DLC.Alright, but that means the three eldritch heroines did absolutely nothing the entire time, making all of that moot.>She's probably talking about TCO here as well. I should've mentioned it before.I think there's a strong reason to distinguish between "these women" (literally anyone else) causing her fall and her own creator banishing her from her role and identity. That's a rough fit.>And? What does that have to do with anything.Your interpretation leaves every single background actor as a series of do-nothing non-entities with no agency or real importance. I'm using the comparison with Jabberwock to show how unimportant these characters all are.>And yours doesn't make logical sense.TCO gets shunted from his body by Mabel and Node, realizes love means setting Grimm free, and works with them to end the show. Node creates a win/win scenario around the final boss fight and then uses GG to kill Mabel.>CheshireYeah, that's my point. She's useless.
>>4118249>That's considered to be Alice's fault?Yes, it was her wish that let Mary invade Wonderland. >but that means the three eldritch heroines did absolutely nothing the entire timePrickett started this entire conspiracy, created a safe space out of TCO's sight where the three could meet and risked breaking character to tell you about the past. And aren't you fucking forgetting she was the one who pulled Grimm's ass out when he gave up? Node brought Red to Wonderland, strenghtened Grimm's soul, possibly helped with regaining his memories (If we assume naming our character happens when she wasn't in on the plan yet) and stalled TCO. Mabel told Grimm what his goal is and promised to help in the future when his vessel shatters, opened the way to the past and saved us in the VN section, if that mysterious girl was her. It feels like you're the type of person who'd unironically ask why didn't Gandalf just fly on eagles to Mordor. This was a conspiracy, if they tried doing things more directly and TCO found out it would be fucking over.>these women" (literally anyone else) causing her fallAlright, how did Mabel and Node cause Prickett's fall and what that fall even was? Earlier you said you think Prickett was TCO's soul, ignoring how the larger body can function without a soul, they separated way before the cycles even began, it was just prior to the Tea Party, in addition Mary turned her into a wet stain on the library floor, if she was the soul TCO would be dead. Secondly, Mabel tells us that she wants to add TCO's soul to her collection in Shatranj, well why didn't she do just that when she supposedly already ripped it out? How did they even do that in the first place and if they did how did Node keep her job after?
>>4118249>Your interpretation leaves every single background actor as a series of do-nothing non-entitiesHow? Where did that come from when we only talked about Prickett, Node, Mabel and now Jabberwock? And what do you think they were even doing besides playing their roles? Most of them were Grimm's daughters who actually did not have agency and really didn't do much of actual importance.>Yeah, that's my point. She's uselessDon't go crying for her when the moon rapes you.

>>4118072Mabel also says the regular occurrence is Great Ones breaking out of their roles, not sinking into them.
>>4118245In the books the Cheshire Cat belongs to the Duchess. In game you find a painting showing Margaret, Pumpkin, and a different looking Cheshire. If you talk to Margaret while wearing Cheshire's ring, she will recognise the smell, but then note that her cat's was actually different. So at some point there was a different Cheshire living there with her. I also believe Dinah's role as the one who tears Alice from Grimm came later as part of Node's attempts to wake Grimm up.
>>4118360>Yes, it was her wish that let Mary invade WonderlandNo it fucking wasn't. Watch the Tea Party movie again. Prayer Master is the one who wished for her.
>>4118689>Mabel also says the regular occurrence is Great Ones breaking out of their rolesNo, she doesn't? Are you thinking of the stairway dialogue where she talks about it being hard for Great Ones to hold themselves in human skin? Because every time she talks about the 'role', she's very implicit in her meaning and what it does. We see this through TCO losing his mind and only appearing as Alice and never his true form, we see this through the Nightmares during ending H.
>>4118360>Yes, it was her wish that let Mary invade Wonderland.Every character in the game 100% blames the Prayer Master for that one. It's why he's named that.>Prickett started this entire conspiracy, created a safe space out of TCO's sight where the three could meet and risked breaking character to tell you about the past. 65+ cycles and the conspiracy amounts to, "Mabel opening a door to patched-out content and the other two holding TCO off if Grimm stumbles on the way out of Wonderland.">It feels like you're the type of person who'd unironically ask why didn't Gandalf just fly on eagles to Mordor. This was a conspiracy, if they tried doing things more directly and TCO found out it would be fucking over.Ignoring the fact that TCO finds you in the VN, I think two Great Ones (his nemesis and the oldest one of all) disappearing, handing off a garden to his appendage, and then whisking Grimm off to the beta levels, would be a rather blatant move. How does TCO not freak out when Grimm keeps disappearing from Wonderland every other moment?>Secondly, Mabel tells us that she wants to add TCO's soul to her collection in Shatranj, well why didn't she do just that when she supposedly already ripped it out?Side objective complete. Main objective: Get Grimm.cont'd
>>4118360>>4118741>ignoring how the larger body can function without a soul, they separated way before the cycles even began, it was just prior to the Tea Party, in addition Mary turned her into a wet stain on the library floor, if she was the soul TCO would be dead. The Alice you meet at the start and in End D of BS1 is TCO-Prickett in the "role" of Alice. That's why Leaf freaks out. (Node notes that "The Crawling One" would've killed her, not Prickett/Alice.) The First-generation Red Queen (whoever that is) worked with Node to make Grand Guignol, then later left the play. That left a vacancy to be filled, so Mabel robbed TCO of its soul and jammed it into Prickett, inadvertently saving it from its own maddened condition by forcing it away from its prior role.>How did they even do that in the first place and if they did how did Node keep her job after? One of the participants in this conspiracy is someone who made it her stated goal to take TCO's soul home. I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to airgap it. Everything after was just keeping the lumbering, infatuated body from seeing the obvious.>>4118361>How? Where did that come from when we only talked about Prickett, Node, Mabel and now Jabberwock? And what do you think they were even doing besides playing their roles?Jabberwock was looking for a chance to lock Grimm in a cage. Her plan just failed because she doesn't know how to hide things from TCO. Everything after was her just lashing out to prevent him from leaving entirely.>Don't go crying for her when the moon rapes you.She doesn't help us then either. That aside, how did TCO not notice the cycles getting hijacked? Everything of importance happens in or around the Library Dream. Crucial infrastructure for the play is all hidden from him using the magic of conspiracy.
>>4118760>The First-generation Red Queen (whoever that is) worked with Node to make Grand GuignolMassively incorrect. Prickett/TCO is the Red that makes GG together with Node. The original Red Queen died in the Tea Party and is now in the CD (stated in BS1, BS2, and DLC2). The game very cleverly tells you "Prickett is the second Red Queen" and "Queensland was built where the previous Queen's domain was" to make you think it's talking about the same thing, hiding between the lines the fact that the "previous Queen" is Node and Queensland was built where Winterbell used to be before they hid it away. >how did TCO not notice the cycles getting hijacked?Because he's already retarded by then.
>>4118741I feel like you're both missing a central piece of info: during the Tea Party TCO was both playing Alice and observing the whole thing, because Alice 01 / Prickett is only a fraction of TCO, because having individual avatars that incarnate a facet of him but exist contemporarily is kind of Nya's whole deal in the Mythos. But even without the Mythos the game makes it pretty clear. There's a reason TCO is consistently portrayed as a crowd of Alices, and in H End we see Prickett is one among them. Each individual Alice is a piece of TCO; Prickett was the one that took part in the Tea Party and because she actually developed feelings for Grimm she gained a degree of independence from the rest of TCO. TCO only put a piece of himself in the Tea Party and then remained an external observer to it (how would Mary have stolen Grimm otherwise if Alice had been all of TCO, which we see she's terrified of in End D?).
>>4118803>>4118810Why doesn't Prickett just rejoin TCO for her happy ending then? She seems to have a better idea how love works than the rest. She couldn't instruct it on how to make a better love story or cure its retardation? Also, it's no wonder Mabel's plan sucks. A huge portion of it depends on her enemy knowingly helping her.
Does Black Souls 2 have any references to Miranda? She was best girl in the original.
>>4118829Check the beach of grief. Stick to the right side.
>>4118834Thank you, anon-kun.
>>4118695>>4118741Read these lines again then ask yourself how a regular actor who's not even a Great One would be capable of letting anyone into a Garden. The lines about Kuti and Oyster's mother show that you need to have an invitation from the Garden's creator to enter it. In BS1 when Rafflesia talks about Prayer Master she says: "Yes indeed, it was him who brought Alice. And Alice brought him." Him making that wish alone wouldn't do jack shit by itself, it only worked because Prickett, a fragment of Wonderland's creator, was secretly wishing for it at that moment too. >Every character in the game 100% blames the Prayer Master for that one. It's why he's named that. From what I remember there are only 4 instances of the game acknowledging of what he did. The movie in Queensland, presumably put there by Prickett like the rest of that area, Vernai talking about how his father's sin and how he was used and discarded, Mary naming him Prayer Master and a traitor, but the only one who actually 100% blames him is Prayer Master himself. Ask yourself, if he could do that back in Wonderland why the fuck didn't he let TCO into Elysium? He was arguably more important there, being the protector of the Holy Forest, keeping Shub-Niggurath from entering it. It's not like he was afraid of punishment, he wanted to be punished. Mary only gave him the role of Prayer Master to mock and torment him, so that it would always remind him of his guilt, and he accepted it, for him it was a form of repentance, that and helping Grimm become stronger so that eventually, possibly he would be able to break out of there. Think why Baphomet's prayers always fell on deaf ears until she was able to ruin Elysium from within in ending D. It's because Gardens need to have some kind of defenses against shit like this, otherwise any Great One could just send a succubus or someone riding a hound of tindalos into another's Garden and make them summon them in to easily invade it.
>>4118741>How does TCO not freak out when Grimm keeps disappearing from Wonderland?Mabel manipulating time if I were to guess.>Side objective complete.Well she's not fucking there so it's hardly complete.>The Alice you meet at the start and in End D of BS1 is TCO-Prickett in the "role" of Alice. The Alice you meet at the start and in End D of BS1 is TCO that's why Node notes that "The Crawling One" would've killed Mary, not Prickett/Alice. Prickett is either a stain in Wonderland or held captive in Elysium depending on whether you believe Mary took her too or left her there. >The First-generation Red Queenlived in Old Wonderland, during the Tea Party, before the cycles, before Node and Mabel got involved.>Everything after was just keeping the lumbering, infatuated body from seeing the obvious. It is stated by Mabel that vessels without souls cannot act, at best they are puppets only capable of repeating instructions, likewise souls without bodies are said to only be memories playing on repeat. Did whatever happened during ending G and H seem like repetition to you? Who was puppeteering TCO then?>Crucial infrastructure for the play is all hidden from him using the magic of conspiracy. On the outside on low Sen you can see TCO's eye cameras, there aren't any in the Library. While I don't think it means she doesn't look there, Node must have a way of sensing when they are and aren't being observed. If you have better ideas I'm all ears.>>4118819>Why doesn't Prickett just rejoin TCO for her happy ending then? Oh for fuck sake, she doesn't care about TCO's happy ending, she only wants a happy ending for Grimm and staying with TCO isn't it.>She seems to have a better idea how love works than the rest. She couldn't instruct it on how to make a better love story or cure its retardation? No, because she knows the opposite would happen, she would become more like TCO, not the other way around.>>4118810That's what I've been saying
