It's out and there's no thread. Thoughts? Don't bother with the default doomer-drone bait.

is this playable if you don't buy new pcs every year?

another BETA release they put out as retail. its a buggy unoptimised slopper.
I'll check in on it in 3 years

Medium and high-end 2020 GPUs get acceptable framerates with DLSS/FSR on ultra, so it's not that bad.
>>
Was really considering buying this but an open world plus time limits is a no-go for me. Choose strategic time management or an large open world with lots of stuff to do, not both. Maybe I'll get it second hand in a year or something

It's not what you think. One thing they don't mention her is training talents also passes time.

Watts are power, the first derivative of energy with respect to time. A joule per second.

Am I the only one that notices this game is just SEO bait Frankensteined from ff14 expansion titles? stormblood, Dawntrail, endwalker. Idk why it’s treated with respect like any normal game

Atelier does this but it’s really not bad. You just have to not waste time or be stupid

Impressive line-up of red flags.
I'm genuinely disappointed.
The Jew quest was the weirdest thing ever.
It's also selling well enough, so expect two more games, I guess.

How is this a bad thing?
>>
Welp, this ran decently up until after the first quest and now it's crashing all the time no matter what I do. I'm not even trying to run it on max or anything, it crashes on medium.

The clunky looking combat was on purpose? It looks weird

How is it woke? I haven't seen anything like that yet, granted I'm only a few hours into the game. Has a great story so far

Player agency lets the main character be bi. This falls under the "default doomer-drone bait" mentioned in the OP.

You people keep complaining that nobody does it anymore and you want Mass Effect again though
>>

I don't think we'll ever get an ME-style trilogy again. Dev time between games is too long. The entire trilogy was out in less than 5 years and had people hooked. Now we wait 5 years between games.

Honestly miss old Bioware compared to what we have now.

The adult male character who spent his entire life growing up in a village turns into a big blubbering mess because he's never seen a pig slaughtered before and no you can't choose a different reaction.

Overall it is a solid enough title. Creatively, it is a mix of KCD, M&B, Witcher 3 specifically, with elements from VtM and Ubisoft titles. OST is atmospherically good, and there are a few tracks that stand out. It does also have some LEILEILEI as well, but the ost is not quite as strong as some other shills are saying it is. Combat is a dumbed down directional system(KCD, M&B) with hack and slash elements. Enemies are very spongy despite the fact that I was an end game character with legendary gear. This is a lootathon whore game as well, with tiered loot rarity. The open world is structured in a semi ubisoft/witcher 3 style, but most of the question marks were relatively interesting. Even enemy camps at least had books you use to unlock skills(similar to elden ring), and they also had some lore that would reveal some info on the big 4 vamps. The story is open-ended, and that works both for this game and against it. I'd compare it to how KOTOR 1 and 2 did it. Multiple different arcs that surprisingly tie in together well to explain the setting and provide insight into the characters. Narratively speaking though, the story is not very strong, you will have to find enjoyment in doing "mini arcs" that eventually tie in. Like the other anons said, the game definitely is pozzed. Many modern colloquialisms(MC says nightmare fuel, really?) Bantu nigger in epilogue, a major character who was a nun talking about how jews and muslims are discriminated upon, alot of church bad as well, gay romance, attempts at highlighting the diversity of Vale Sangora, jewish quarter in main city, etc.

It's not a bad game overall, but it feels very derivative, but that is also a strength in its own way. I wish the vampire world was explored more, you barely get any information and you have to beg the characters to feed you minuscule crumbs. I wish that the game explored Coen's duality as a dawnwalker more, and his psychology (besides the wizard tower quest.)
>>
holy fuck i've turned into a complete boomer shitter. i CANNOT be fucked to check the directional arrows on the attack prompts. they are unironically too small and hard to notice for me. my finger just hits a random directional button to counter before my eyes even focus on the icon. gonna have to lower the difficulty, i do not see myself adapting to this.

To be fair KCD had the worst combat system
This game borrows its ideas for a 3rd person view for some reason

I'm enjoying it a lot, honestly the time limit is a plus for me because it stops me doing boring shit out of completionism. All the real quests I've been doing have been great and I like that dialogue options do matter and can solve things non-violently.

>>protect the jews
I normally don't give a shit about these sorts of things but I mean it is kinda weird how this is the second high profile action RPG from eastern europe with the exact same quest(they're probably pretty different but I never played either KCD I just heard the second one had a hamfisted protect the jews quest too).
>>
>>4085420
Yeah, fair doesn't give you much reaction time. Story is far more forgiving, but still not fall-down easy as one would expect given the name. It feels more like an "easy" than "near impossible to lose."
>>
>>4084406
Yes, I completed it today, on hardest difficulty, I didn´t play with directional attacks showing or anything. The ingame timer says it took a little over 26 hours to complete, steam says 51 hours, but Steam includes me having the game on pause. Is the 26 hours of playtime worth 70 dollars? Not really, the game does offer replay, perhaps the game that offers it the most of any game I´ve ever played. I know for a fact that I can go in and do another playthrough and get a completely different experience, go to places I´ve never been, do a character build I haven´t done before, use weapons I didn´t use and while I might fight the same 4 major bosses, I can fight them in different places under different conditions. The problem is, I don´t think I will, so we´re back at 70 dollars for a rpg that took 26 hours to complete.
Too few dungeon crawlers, although the dungeons I did try were good. Too much cringe dialogue and time spent pressing buttons to move the game forward without playing it.
I went full blood addict, I gave in to the hunger about 90% of the time. I even killed Anca, the love interest. The game does allow you to play as a murder hobo, but does it allow you to murder the Jews? I didn´t do the quest, so I don´t know, I tried to find my way into the house of some Jews talking, but I couldn´t get in, nothing unusual about that, but the game really stands and falls with whether or not you can kill the Jews. I killed a priest doing secret sermons and I killed the Christian followers, slaughtered every one of them and drank their blood, can I do the same if I do the Jewish quest?!
I was completely overpowered as vampire in the end game, I only upgraded my vampire skills, the neutral abilities in swordmastery like stamina etc. and skipped witchcraft. When I fought the final boss I was immortal, not only was my passive regeneration off the charts, some skill allows me to regenerate with blocking. I couldn´t die, so that needs calibration.
>>
>>4086408
No problem anon. Get it on deep sale, or give it a pirate. Not worth 70 bucks at all though. They rushed the game out so they would not compete with GTA 6 is my bet.
>>4087846
26 hours sounds about right. I finished at 27 hours, and I did everything besides the time waster shrine, arenas, and chests. Some of the dungeons were okay I suppose, and I liked the whole ancients subplot, but that got really boring after a while, since the answer is always blood magic in the mysteries.
>Too much cringe dialogue and time spent pressing buttons to move the game forward without playing it.
Yep, classic witcher 3 walk for 10 hours and inspect while using your eagle vision. I don't know what retard wanted this.
>does it allow you to murder the Jews?
You get the option to drain the jew if you do Vicho's mission if I recall. Also, I think most NPCs are killable, even major story ones.

>>
>>4078871
Disappointed that it’s not set in TWoD , god knows its only getting Ls lately and could do some decent 2 3A projects
Movement and combat are clunky but kinda serviceable, the story is…okay I guess. I mean the game is not bad it’s just okay
>>
>>4093339
I thought the characters and quests and the way dialogues matter were pretty great.
