I FUCKING hate this gameProbably the worst game I can’t stop playing unironically. Bloodmoon is fucking asinine
>>4085298RNG sludge designed specifically to attack you psychologically.Stop falling prey to garbage like this and do literally anything else in life where you are enjoying it on your own terms.
>>4085298This probably most bloated RPG game since X-COM TFTD dropped. This shit has 10 hours of content and 100 hours of grind.
>>4085641I hated TFTD back in the day. Finished it but so aggravating. Fucking double stage terror missions and lobstermen and shit
>>4085641The grind to content ratio is one of my problems with it, the other one being that outside of choosing which characters to pair up together and which skills to build for them, a lot of the choices the game asks you to make have no depth and are pretty easily flowcharted.Like the preparation phase where you're buying supplies for the dungeon. The items are so one-dimensional, with a purely defensive lock-and-key utility, that it's pretty easy to work out something close to the optimal amount of rations, torches, and other consumables you should bring based on the region you're exploring and the length of the expedition, and there's almost no reason to ever diverge from that formula. Even if you did, it wouldn't change much about how you approach the dungeon.Suppose there were offensive items, too, so that instead of buying four antidotes to cure your guys when they get poisoned, you could choose for instance to buy one bomb to kill the enemies with heavy damage before they get a chance to poison your crew. Suddenly the preparation phase gets a bit more depth, because now you're choosing between two very different means to accomplish roughly the same goal (keeping your party alive and poison-free) while also having utilities that don't overlap; the antidotes can cure poison applied by stuff other than enemies and make it safe to interact with certain environmental objects, while the bombs can be used against all kinds of enemies and not just the ones that poison you. And even if one choice were optimal, the fact that each situation can play out very differently means that you could still reasonably make the suboptimal choice out of playstyle preference, as long as it's not completely terrible.
I love the aesthetics and concept, but yeah the grind and bloat is pretty miserable.
Unironically mods fix it. it's fucking kino with the right QoL mods and a few extra classes to spice things up.
>you collect more loot if you go in without torches because it's easier to see the twinkle of valuables that waybravo red hook
>>4085781>>4085641>waaah waaaah grindonly 100% completion autists whine about this and they deserve it. If you just pick a fucked up party and fight to the dungeon there's no grind at all. You'll have to use your brain though, so I guess that's not an option for you
>>4086510Any mod suggestions?
>>4085298Try Darkest Dungeon 2 and you will change your mind real fast
>>4086909>You'll have to use your brain though, so I guess that's not an option for you
>>4085298This is one of the few games where I've highly disliked adding more content DLCs to it. I recently tried Crimson Court and the debuffs and vampire shit was so ass its making me think of refunding it.
