Twine is a wrapper on top of javascript with the built in ability to make your own customizations in javascript that will integrate seamlessly at runtime, it's a pleasant surprise that the standard IF engine is fitting and even ideal for this project idea.

There was this one bandit here, he got eaten, but he didn't shut up. It seems every week he would act up in plain damn sight of the clan elder. I've been trying to see what this whole "merchant cyclemaxxing" stuff actually plays out for myself, but I just don't get how cycling can be worth it. Even with hungry spirit + 6 handseals, then even right at the beginning (ch3) it's a trade of like 112 shards for 18 AP, at a time when your wallet probably is probably on the 1.5k range

Just found out it's bad to go Herbalist background if you play Kiiha since you lose out on a skill point. Training with Dessy gives +1 Lore if you are at zero. Also every background can defeat Jack by jumping off the cliff since you only need healing pot which you can get from doing a job at the old crone's house. Herbalist background is dead in my eyes.
