It won't be a Unite Level flop. And I don't think Unite is a flop, considering it wasn't for general RPG Maker users. And was for people who were moving to Unity engine from RPG Maker.

U2U on the other hand... is there any RPG Maker dev who doesn't want to at-least try it out & play with it? It's just RPG Maker MV/MZ except with a 2.5D mapping system.
What's there as a reason for especially new users, coming into RPG Maker, to not go with U2U over MV/MZ? (Except for system requirements for U2U being higher)

It'll start having worthwhile games... in a couple of years.

The guy gets harassed and maligned everywhere (in RPGM spaces) now, to the point he can't hang around in the general RPG Maker community anymore. And had to withdraw himself from it.
It really gets tiring, when a major part of your work is online, and there are people constantly making things up about you and your work to damage you & mess with your head. That you then have to deal with and address.

It isn't jealousy, it is definitely envy.
He's quite a capable & experienced game dev and a pixel artist, with decently successful releases on android & Steam (prior to generative AI. Even prior to me finding RPG Maker).
Went around sharing his knowledge in the community too.
Which makes it feel worse when people in the community turn against you, disrespect you, insult you. And deny the guy the good he's doing & has done.
The onslaught of harassment & dismissals can make a person forget they've done or achieved anything. And feel useless. To the point of self-destruction & self-deletion.

It is tiring, indeed.
Don't add to the burden.

There are way too many chronic victims sufficating people with empathy to the point of exhaustion, and white knights thinking we have no empathy. Learn about empathy fatigue before complaining people have no empathy.

You place something online; that's your responsibility.
You get reactions, those aren't your responsibility. Just accept that people say whatever they want. If people are going to claim you eat the neightbors cats and that cats in any neighborhood are in danger so long they use your plugins, why react to such bullshit?

It doesn't really matter how famous people are who claim such things, such things are strangely beliefed and the moment you try to defend yourself, "You're defending yourself, so it has to be true!"- in other words, its used against you. If you say nothing, less stress- most efficient. If you say "Yes!", they get bored; this also works, but hate may increase.

It's his own fault. He was posing as he admits in his video. "choosing his words carefully', because he wanted to be "food" for the consumers, rather than just share what he made. He wanted to fit into a specific glove. This doesn't help.

Tiredness doesn't just come from hate reactions. It comes from trying your best to avoid those by trying to fit in. This is something you'll only realize when your life hasn't been succesful. (bullying, etc.) Tiredness comes from interacting with people and trying to keep their smiles up, knowing they're self centered parasites. Even when you check all the boxes, they will not even apologize; they're right, they cannot back away because "MY REPUTATION!"- they're the same kinds of people. Belittling someone helps them feel bigger themselves.

And you see that in the video as well, pointing fingers, calling every negative comment "haters", belittling them, thus he feels superior; not equal.
