Working on Sonucido: Dreams of the Gray God. Here are some screenshots of the game.Grid-based, turn-based, party-based, based-based game.A lot of choice and consequence. Not as extreme as Fear & Hunger though.
I like the artstyle. Are you doing the art yourself?
>>4098343Thank you, my wife does all the art!
>>4098355Ayyy thats wonderful! Ill throw it in my wishlist. How dark is the tone gonna get?
>>4098369Thanks!Very dark but not really any sexual themesSo expect suicide, extremely amoral people, difficult decisions, murder - also a lot of weirdness
>>4098382Fair enough, good luck with development!
>>4098427Thank you!
I'm intrigued, good luck and keep it up, both of you (wife included).
>>4098569Thanks a lot! I have a good feeling about this game
>>4098287flashbacks to when I first started doing 3D in game maker back in like 2006. good times
based, godspeed anon
>>4098287Spend time on detailing the environments. Nothing is more boring than a dungeon crawler with plain, copy-pasted textures repeating into infinity.
>>4098287spoiler-free example of choice and consequence you aim for?
>>4098287the art doesn't seem to fit the horror theme, but maybe I just lack the imaginationdo you have other examples of games/media with similar cartoon graphics that you think are scary?
>>4098287Why do you call it Socunido? Why don’t you give it a Western name?
>>4098287Art style reminds me of wegs. Like akabur’s witch trainer. Or Behind the Dune.
Wish i had a wife
>>4107657Have you considered kidnapping+rape+brainwash method?
>>4105558It's meant as a mix of the Portuguese words sono and suicídio, so it has a western origin.
>>4105509there will be more creatures like the hand which will sell the atmosphere better. Right now we are working on the UI but likely after that. It's first and foremost meant as a thematic classification - dark themes, body horror elements, morally dubious decisions, oppressive atmosphere/gameplay
>>4100423thanks!
>>4104416I'll do it pretty abstract but you will have quite a bit of player freedom. If you don't like a dialogue partner, you can try to kill them.Try with an example: Archivist needs A and B, can advance studies with A and B. If you kill him, he gives you C which can you use later, but if you kill him, X will find out, and try to do something about that - and also his studies won't be finished - also if you come back his home after a while will be inhabitated by someone else. If you bring him A and B, he gives you information about Z which might be useful later. To give a rough example.
>>4100438There will be more decoration/details in the future! My wife already made a few decorations, and reworked some textures but I still need to implement it
