>Richard is poor now.>nobody is stupid enough to loan him any money to make the next Ultima game.so he got the rights back. is his masterplan now to fund it with Kickstarter like Star Citizen, make a few hundred million and then disappear into the Underworld?
I don't think Ultima has the name power to get anywhere these days. Maybe if he pitched an online game, but UO was made by EA, not him.
Underworld 3, plz God
did he sell his castle
>>4107053kinda gay that a lot of old devs made their nut and spent the rest of their careers teasing their fans with nostalgia
>>4107311Arx Fatalis.and he already made an Underworld sequel of sorts and it was bad?
>>4107365sold it ages ago. the castle already got demolished soon after the place was sold off. i think it's still empty clay
>>4107365he's back living at home with his mom and dad, in the basement where the magic all began.
>>4107053I want him to hire Warren Spector and make Worlds of Ultima 3 and Ultima Underworld 3.
>>4108798Basement. In Houston Tx. Ok, anonโฆ
>>4109099HOUSTON!Jump on it! Jump on it! Jump on it!
>>4109077Wouldn't Spector be retired at this point? I agree that Richard needs someone like Warren to actually head something, but Akalabeth was 47 years ago, and Ultima saw its heyday 35-ish years ago. The only people I know that are still active are Richard and Chris Roberts, and I don't want to see Chris involved in another forever-project.
>>4107053Ultima was so great when it came out.
>>4109530He can come out of retirement to work on something good again. I thought he was still active, though. Just not making anything good.
It is time broshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35SKawn2SDI
>>4110369Hell yeah. It shouldn't be long until mr edders 123 drops his pool of radiance video either.
Kenneth W. Arnold is still alive, and is critical to the Ultima experience. God Tier composer
>>4107053>so he got the rights backHe didn't
>>4112061I thought he gets rights to everything back except the Ultima name?
>>4111184i don't think music was ever the problem with Ultima games. or their modern not-sequels
