>>4114574Fallout 2 was the only game where it actually worked and the PC could whore through several scenes
>>4114673I remember fucking Benny in New Vegas and getting the choice to off him afterwardsbut at any rate, passing standard charisma checks while larping as a highborne lady out of her depth is good enough for me
I genuinely envy roleplayers and their ability to engage in their imagination without shame like they did when they were kids. I always feel like a pathetic piece of shit when I try to do it and think about how worthless I am.
>>4114574>race: white>sex: male>class: paladin>wife: succubus
>>4114683I roleplay because I'm worthless in real life.
>>4114683The crazy part to me is there’s a vocal subset of “RPG fans” who don’t roleplay. Some of them will even dispute that the point of playing RPGs is to roleplay.

>>4114574>rp as bright eyed violence-averse mc>pick highest difficulty>all deaths are real and loading a saveplay into timeloop headcanon>mc becomes more apathetic and brutal with each game over>start using party members in expendable ways and favoring choices that would have first rejected for being immoral and evil>cursed saves where mc razes entire cities just for funEnded up with this formula while trying to provide an ingame reason for the MC's irredeemable kleptomania.
>>4114683you should try loving yourself more, there's nothing wrong about having fun with your imagination
>>4114574i like roleplaying in games as evil characters then imagining scenarios of them hanging out in a different dimension realm after the last time i opened their games, unfortunately i forgot how my fallout 3 evil protagonist looked like, but since he had worn enclave armor most of the time i can just imagine him with a helmet on, at least i have screenshots of my other protagonists
>>4114574>gender: female>player: trannySorry to hear that.
>>4114929jesus christ
>>4114955I'm doing something similar, slowly weaving a metalocation I want to feature or reference in things I create from now on. Where the protagonists can find themselves, hang out and speak to the proprietor (me)
>>4114574>race: human>gender: female>highest stat: vitality, physical defense>currently stuck deep inside the dungeon. Our medic got mauled by monsters. We forgot warp wires. Could be worse?
>>4114798/vrpg/ is just a slower /v/ and /vg/. you can post anything gaming related here.
>>4115043Neat, actually. I might try something similar when I get to playing a halfling. I dig how Tolkien depicted them as simple folk who are surprisingly tough/resilient when they need to be, so it would fit near perfectly.
>>4114683Wells (War of the Worlds) was big into wargaming, back when that meant him playing with toy soldiers on his floors and writing up rules for them. Tolkien spent a good part of his life writing up autistic-level worldbuilding he never published in his life (though Lord of the Rings offers a window into it). A lot of writers and vidya designers started with playing D&D and other tabletop RPGs. A lot of other great men had nerdy hobbies as well, I'm sure. Though I get some instincts you can't easily change
>>4114683but, like, as long as you're enjoying yourself and the rest of your life is well taken care of, why give a shit? Just have fun dude, if anyone tells you it's weird just laugh at them
>>4114683It had nothing to do with age. Play a "tactical" game like Fallout Tactics, Jagged Alliance 2 or Icewind Dale and see how quickly your brain will switch to treat the team of characters you don't care about as "your dudes".
>>4115043race: human (but smart)gender: femalehighest stat: Accuracy, intelligence>Our tank that is a COCK-LOVING WHORE threw out our last warp wire to "make space for more loot" and let our medic eat dirt because she was hiding behind his ass like a bitch she is. At least I still have bullets and she can act as a barely sentient meat shield. Could be worse!
