I started playing Deltarune a few weeks ago but only recently went deep into the lore of it (you don't need to know it to understand the post) and something weird happened to me.
I'm not a superstitious person and I wouldn't describe myself as paranoid, but at some point I was faced with the fact that something weird was happening around me.

Everything started when I learned about the tree room, which for those who don't know is an ironically famous secret room that you have a 1/something chance to encounter randomly.
In this room the upbeat music from the rest of the game turns into some disturbingly eerie theme, and in this room is nothing but a single tree.
Interacting with it will only show a text saying "He is behind the tree."
Going behind the tree (a part of the map that is hidden by leaves as shown in picrel) and clicking on the interaction key will show "There is a man behind the tree."
That man then offers the player an egg before a text warns them that he disappeared.

There's nothing much more to it and the fandom reasonably treats this as a weird secret that will probably make sense with the story later on.

Now my problem is that, for an entire month after learning about the room, every single time I decided to start Deltarune and go see it in my save file, something weird kept happening that made me unable to proceed and see the room.
At first it was minor stuff, such as a relative calling me to suddenly discuss some new urgent stuff, or me receiving a mail about some college lectures I never heard about.
Then I began noticing it and it became weirder. My laptop wouldn't charge when I decided I wanted to go see the room. I'd be logged off Steam or have trouble logging back in, whereas I never had problems like this before.
>>
At this point I also noticed I had more and more Deltarune content on my TikTok fyp (which in itself isn't that weird, but I had started to lose interest in the game and hadn't seen stuff about it for weeks at that point), and what was extra weird is that like 90% of the content was about the tree room.
At some point I grew tired of it and just decided to lock in and go see that damn room once and for all, because I was annoyed by the entire ordeal and how long it overstayed its welcome.
That's where what pushed me to post this wall of text happened.
I never saw it.

Now I know it sounds like a nothing burger but hear me out.

To see this room you have to go from one room to another in a loop until you get the tree room. It's based on 1/30ish odds of entering the tree room.

I put on an auto clicker to make my character alternate between the two required zones and never got it even once during the entire 30 min I had the auto clicker on (if I had gotten it even once my character would have been stuck against a wall, so no, the auto clicker did not make me miss it).
I probably sound like a schizo rn but put yourself in my position. After more or less 2 weeks of noticing what was going on with the room, I decide to finally go there, and that's when AT BEST something is wrong with my game and at worst a statistical oddity of 1 in 10^26 happens to me.
I kept thinking about it since it happened, and the only beginning of a logical explanation I found was that there is something wrong with this room and I'm being watched over so that I don't have an encounter with it.

I really have this feeling that I am being protected from whatever the creator of this game has put in it.

I'm currently having an obsessive episode with this room for obvious reasons, and the more I think about it or watch videos of it, the more it seems like something vile is going on with it.

Does anyone have an explanation for it please?

The probability of weird shit happening in a game is proportional to the incompetence of its developers
