I’ve finished Act 1 in Pathfinder, mostly played to test builds and learn the game systems. I’ve done a lot of research on the Pathfinder 1E rules and decided to go with a Battle Oracle Angel build. I plan to restart the campaign from scratch, applying everything I’ve learned.
I’m aiming to play on the Core difficulty, but I’ve seen many people say it’s not recommended for beginners—so, I’ve made a few adjustments (pic) to create a "custom-Core" setup. Do you think this will be manageable? Also, should I set enemy critical hit damage to weak or keep it at normal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated—thanks in advance!

You can adjust the difficulty during the game so it's really not a big deal. I started on daring and finished on a custom hard+

Battle oracle angel is pretty strong so you'll probably want to up things to core once you're a few mythic levels in.

Oracle is such a stupid class. Yes, it's busted good, but what the fuck is it even supposed to represent? Such stupid bloat in Pathfinder.
After I finished the game with a custom party, I tried solo'ing it with a gestalt char paladin/oracle and it was absolutely disgusting, I couldn't even finish that run

My suggestion
Do not embark on the path of restartitis. You will never stop, you will never get to the actual game. You will always see something you could have improved and want to restart just to do it better or try something different.

Never played WotR. Do you *need* to play Kingmaker to enjoy this?
>>
>>4133352
Not really, no.
>>
>>4133358
How so?
>>
>>4132913
you can't get any real enjoyment out of sperging until you already know the game (like, e.g. the obscure spread of 5 items that makes some stupid build work and which could not possibly be predicted when you start blind), so just stick to a single class on a comfortable difficulty. If you're sperg enough for a replay that's when you can put the pedal to the metal

There is no plot relation, and even though Wrath has more QoL features and additional mechanics, kingmaker stands on it's own if you decide to play it later (and even if you feel it does not, it has quite a few mods that give you access to things even WotR does not have).

Increased is actually easier as you get much more xp

Almost all classes suck. Primalist is awesome.

It's a psychological issue for the weak minded. They want to play god in a dead world.

Are there any small turbans like pic in this game?

It might benefit you to not play kingmaker first.
Wrath has horrible pacing and if you played and expected kingmaker again the first acts will feel like they just drag on. Also whereas kingmaker's minigame is a very love it or hate it thing, wrath's crusade minigame is universally hated. Wrath has more classes and variety, more qol, and epic level progression, but in many ways kingmaker is a better game.

I wanna play on Unfair, but the only viable build i can come up with is Witch of the Veil Invisibility abuse. Is there something else besides that which specs into Lich?
>>

I would never play an RPG on such a silly difficulty that it curtailed my roleplaying choices by necessitating one of a handful of cheesy builds.
>>
>>4134435
I understand, but it to me it feels like i can only take the World/Game seriously this way.
>>
>>4134438
Fair enough. Hope you have fun.

>>4134441 (you)
Iirc (haven’t played wrath since it came out) I was playing on something halfway between core and “hard”. I generally favor something like “more enemy abilities/AI, extra enemies, but normal stats without boosts” because to me stat boosts are lazy and stupid difficulty, and triggers my tism cause they’re not “right”

>>4134433
Any pure spellcaster with a starting petpet works (more do work, but gets a bit tedious)

There's tons of builds you can use on unfair. Thee only question is if you want to waste your time rerolling when the centipede with +8 in every stat 1 shots you. The tutorial zone is the hardest part of unfair. Go look up CRPGBro or something on Youtube, he has like 100 unfair builds for almost every class.

He's saying Kingmaker will make you not enjoy Wrath because it's worse, so play Wrath first. That's just his opinion though. Wrath was better then Kingmaker in every way according to me and my opinion is the only thing that matters to me.

Am I the only one that modded bg3 to be closer to pf1e?
>>
>>4134460
The water elemental is actually the final boss.
>>
>>4134469
I find the water elemental easier then the mongrels with berserk who don't die right away. You get to pop all the scrolls they give you specifically for that fight.

Pathfinder games exemplify the timeless quote:
An idiot admires complexity, a genius admires simplicity.

Excuse me, I meant Pathfinder “products”, I didn’t mean to call them games.

Yup, it’s pathfinder time

what's the most OP build for normal? least micro management (even though I'm playing with bubblebuffs anyways)

Is demon the Devilman path or just a regular dickhead path?
>>
>>4136757
>>4136774
This, you can do whatever you want on normal. There's 0 challenge to it. The most OP build for normal is whatever the most OP build for unfair is.
>>
>>4137525
It's the dickhead path. There's an actual devil path. Just look up a guide for it. You have to start with specific good paths and then you unlock it late game.
>>
>>4132913
The whole game is an if-then gate. If you have the right buffs and abilities, the game is laughably easy. If you don't, it's unplayable. It doesn't really matter if the enemies crit is weak or normal. What will determine if you win are things like "do I have a buff that blocks that spell" and "can I target flat footed/touch AC". In fact, the touch AC is probably the primary thing to worry about. If you can target touch AC, you will win every fight.
