Let's play truth or dare. I'll start. Truth! What is your most impressive gaming achievement both inside & outside RPG gaming? I'll go first

1. Outside RPG gaming I can bury Mike Tyson without the passwording whenever I feel the need to entertain visitors (passwording matters BIGLY NIGLY. It is in fact obviously far easier to score free throws in-between games during practice sessions than performing the same in a heated NBA Championship Match to paint a clumsy metaphor) if you catch my meaning sirs

2. Inside RPG gaming (and about 100 times more impressive) I unlocked a Force Sensitive Character Slot in Star Wars Galaxies. I know guys, most of you anons here don't like playing MMOs, nor do I really. I too hate MMOing except for Lore-intensive RPGs like SWG, Tortanic and the ESO (ultimately crappy TES Lore but whatever I play it) related to other Lore crap for that matter. But SWG did the Lore right beyond perfection, NOBODY knew how to become a Jedi (or Sith) at launch, just as if we were truly living in the Star Wars Saga all desperately wishing we were Jedi-tier but had no clue where to begin. In that regard, SWG was the most Lore RPG ever. Peak Lore. No doubt about it! And leveling all characters on your top 120 JRPGs to 100 is no big feat btw unless your patience/autism count as a feats, no?

Do not even bother daring me to post pictures of myself on /vrpg/ I'll refuse your wishful terms because a test thread is not worth risking doxing my Guild on 4chan. Anonymity is useful on my current mission

False flag. I’m a straight White YOUNG male. A White Zoomer. This already makes me better than 99% of the dated, dusty, decrepit dying faggots that frequent this board.

Vrpgays will call me a tranny, an attention whore, a namefag. They will never call me a casual, tasteless, inarticulate, lowbrow or uninspired. This is why I should be the only one posting on this board, and everyone else just needs to read and internalize my takes.

You like BG3, which discredited you forever, tastelet casual.

Why can't anyone make our galaxy look cool as fuck? We're surrounded by cool as fuck galaxies but when they do an impression of ours it looks like faggot shit. Fuck you.

My extremely well-reasoned position on BG3 was: it is a good game, but it is not art. There are many “good games”, but barely any are art. I can provide an epistle’s worth of arguments to support this claim, but I’d be casting pearls upon the vilest of swine.

You’re too contrarian to understand nuance. You hate BG3 because everyone here and on Codex hates it. If getting fucked in the ass was contrarian, your hole would have been stretched by a mile.

This proves it boys, 4chan is not a secret pdf organization disguised as a website after all. Case closed. Nobody wants to reply to my fucking threads anymore after I disgraced my Good Name by revealing I'm an Eternally unconvicted sex offender who keeps getting away with it consensually

Thank you for the information, Milo. But if you were sadly born after 2000 AD you'll never have an adult's perspective on life, sorry, sometimes life can be cruel . That being said, not every Zoomer is automatically retarded. My girlfriend (whose brother is a genius physicist) born in 2008 of all horrific Birthdays moved to Colorado this year. Rumor here on the US East Coast is she's now a cult leader raising an army ready to spark real revolution in this bitch. I'd estimate only 88% of Zoomerino scum are cursed with inborn retardation, but you'll be children forever due to lack of perspective

>BG3 is a good game, but it is not art
It is categorically not a good game. Its mechanics and ruleset are shallow, its itemization consists of memey MMO sets, the writing is terrible, the characters are terrible, every callback to the original games was offensively stupid, the world design is awful, the character building is formulaic and repetitive (just take the standard array then pump your damage stat to 20 bro), any build variety primarily consists of abusing unintended item exploits stemming from Larian’s incompetence, the game is lorded over by a petty DM who heavily railroads you and hands out game overs for exercising creativity.
It’s designed for a casual audience of zoomers (easily impressed by cinematic visuals and requiring full voice acting due to being illiterate) to watch “lol so random” clips on Twitch, which is literally integrated into the game client for streamers’ convenience
>You’re too contrarian to understand nuance. You hate BG3 because everyone here and on Codex hates it.
I went into BG3 expecting to love it, after enjoying the early access. I only began to hate it gradually, by playing and finishing the release version of the game. I even gave it a year of patches and tried to come back to it and see if they improved it any or restored some of their cut content, but nope, same pile of shit.
I’ve literally seen one (1) bg3 fanboy on this board who wasn’t a moron, and you ain’t it. It’s a great litmus test for retards, though. Case in point: you.

It's an interesting problem. To illustrate, I'd wager that before the industrial manufacturing of mirrors, people would be less familiar with their own face than the the faces of their close relations simply because they don't exactly have a great vantage point to look at themselves.
We have the same problem with the Milky Way. We are in a prime position to study the Andromeda galaxy, it's even tilted at a pleasant angle for photos. We are simply too close to build a good model of the Milky Way, and a photo like pic related would simply be impossible, unless we flew to another galaxy to take it. Space might be very empty, but a galaxy is full enough of stuff that you can't get a good grasp of it from inside it. The Milky Way is probably one of the galaxies we know the least about. The thing we named the milky way for, that slight band of light in the sky, is what's blocking us from understanding much about it.

Morons like you admire complexity, while geniuses like me admire simplicity.

Ask yourself: on my first, blind playthrough on core rules, where I used little to no guide support, and tried to get the “intended experience” — did I enjoy the game? Did it provide a memorable experience and compelling gameplay? If so, it’s a good game.

Your listicle of criticisms could have only been conjured up post-hoc by a neurotic sperg. Some are plain untrue, others are totally irrelevant for the core experience.

You and I both know that a game that contains an experience like the House of Hope cannot be called a bad game despite any other sins it may commit. Same goes for experiences like the Last Light Inn fight, having Lae’zel as a companion, the hag in act 1.

If you thought BG3 was bad, please enlighten me to what games you consider good, they’ll surely blow me away.

on topic I guess:

100% completed Baldur's Gate 2 (all possible quests) without a single civilian casualty. Saved all the collar slaves in the Planar Prison and from the mind flayer dungeon. The only bystander I couldn't save is the minotaur under the Copper Coronet who is scripted to explode even if you use Time Stop.

>tasteless American tries to judge aspiring art based on objective metrics, instead of the experience it invokes, and the extent to which it matches the artist’s intent
You can have money, but you’ll never have taste. A person like you would walk through Opéra Garnier and believe it’s inferior to his skyscraper, because the skyscraper is taller, it can fit more people, and has a bigger parking lot. How embarrassing.

From “BG3 isn’t art” to “BG3 is art” in only two posts. This is what happens when fools like you don’t have any principles or sincere thoughts, but are simply arguing for the sake of being disagreeable.

He's also consistently bad at interpreting art, even when appropriating it as a lifestyle brand.
