My predictions for The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel> 3 major cities> 400 NPCs> Still no attributes, and 3 "skills" : Fighting, Magic, Sneak, in practice these are three perk trees that the player will complete entirely at the 3/4th of the game.> 40 spells. No spell creation. No more magic schools, everything is grouped under "magic". Spells of the same effect all look the same. > Dubbed PC with a forced background during the tutorial.> One-part armor for the whole body. The distinction between light armor and heavy armor disappears.> Melee weapons : Swords, greatswords and daggers for stealth characters. Everybody loves sword, why should we add anything else ?> You can no longer walk: just jog and run.> Vampirism and lycanthropy no longer have any maluses.> 5 (then 6) joinable factions : Main quest + warriors, mages, thieves, and some binary choice between two factions that give the same quests anyway. Dark Brotherhood will be added in DLC.> No horses, you can already use fast travel, to go to any place you never visited.> Alchemy with recipes only> Ability to create new enchanted items added in DLC, and even more limited than it was in Skyrim.> Several quest markers will be placed on your way to make sure you don't get lost. The Clairvoyance spell will be available from the start for all characters.> Children, but also dogs, old people and LGBTQ+ characters will be unkillable, and if you try you immediately get a Game Over (like with the children in MGS V Phantom Pain) and a patronizing message about your attempt. Half of the other characters are essentials for quests, and thus unkillable like in Skyrim.
This game is such a fucking mistake... They should have remade Redguard instead since they love voiced PCs so much and Cyrus' VA is probably still alive. Just remake Redguard and have Eye of Argonia and Paradise Sugar as DLCs. You'd satisfy the lore nerds and the 'give me a story Nathan Drake yellow paint millennial manchild dad who has 2hrs to play a week.'
>>4148328AI-powered NPC voice acting, AI generated quests, AI generated loot etc.
Can't wait for all the near 50 manchildren to cry about how they aren't the target audience anymore. Again.
>>4148362Making smaller experimental spinoff games like Redguard and Battlespire is what they should have done but it's about a decade too late for that now.
>>4148328Cool ragebait, only believable part is that clairvoyance will be available from the start and unkillable story characters
>>4148328>Half of the other characters are essentials for quests, and thus unkillable like in Skyrim. From QA point of view, it was the only reason why Skyrim wasn't an unplayable glitchfest
>>4148591Morrowind managed to have everyone killable, even including an alternate path to finish the main quest if you made a roleplaying decision to kill an essential characterUnlikable essential characters are simply because Bethesda is lazy and it makes the devs jobs easier. Same reason they level scaled the game.
>>4148517This is the strangest part. Once it became apparent that they weren't releasing tes6 anytime soon Todd should've pushed out 2 spin-offs ala Battlespire and Redguard; they can test stuff with them and more importantly satisfy fans and control hype. The longer the time is between sequels the worse the hypetrain gets. If I had to guess it's because no game studio is actually capable of budgeting a game properly so there's no chance for a project coming in under 1milly.
>>4148591Then Starfield made everyone unkillable because???
>>4148601This. It's just part of the irreversible dumbing-down of Bethesda games.
So much bait in this thread. Or stupidity? The announcement sure created a buzz.
>>4148328Realisticaly:>4 Major cities and 4-6 minor ones>1000+ NPCs>Attributes are Health, Magicka, Stamina. Strength, Personality, etc are unlikely to return but there's a very slim potential>Skills remain if only because that's how TES handles XP, and BGS tends to stick to the same XP systems in their IPs. If they break from this formula, Skills end up being perks which do the exact same thing the skill did but granular>Spell schools continue to exist. Clairvoyance is a starting spellEither>No spell crafting and a bunch of fixed spells. Or>Spellcrafting works basically like how Gun crafting does in Fallout 4/76/Starfield, with basic spell categories which are modded into different spell types>PC isn't dubbed (Though if they appear as not the PC they will be). Backgrounds are picked at Character creation and offer starting skills/Perks. They have mild impact on the occasional dialogue. Likely: Traits exist and are akin to Starfield's.>Armor is wither split between gloves, boots, body, and helmet, or between body/helmet and clothing. Heavy and light still exist>You still get Axes, Blunt Weapons, and Swords in equal measure>Walking remains because of Thumbstick movement controls, so walking also remains on PC. >Vampirism Returns and has minor maluses. Lycanthropy is a coinflip on whether it's actually included like in every TES game.>4 guilds, two mjtually exclusive factions, one or two random-ass factions you join as side quest chains>Mounts exist>Alchemy stays the same. Cooking remains recipes>Enchanting exists base game, though it's probably a type of modding one can do to a weapon akin to Fallout 4/76/Starfield>Quest markers still in fact exist.>Children and quest important NPCs are unkillable. Everyone else is still fair game, with no little to no moralizing
>>4148454Yeah, now it's for Satan worshippers. Get hip, boomer.
>>4148861fuck off retarded avatarnigger.
>>4148328> No horses, you can already use fast travel, to go to any place you never visitedNo horses would mean no horse armor DLC, retard.
Are you guys ready to rebuild Orsinium using the settlement building mechanic?
>>4148328They won't dumb it down any further past Skyrim level. There's no question that was the high water mark they'll spend every release trying to recapture until they go under.
>>4148642> The longer the time is between sequels the worse the hypetrain gets.I don’t think that’s the case with TES6 anylonger.Ever since Skyrim came out we had games with a similar formula that did something better than TES and Bethesda. And in return we got FO76 and Starfield.>>4148976> They won't dumb it down any further past Skyrim level. Here’s hoping
>>4148328>and 3 "skills" : Fighting, Magic, Sneak, in practice these are three perk trees that the player will complete entirely at the 3/4th of the game.Imagine saying this while Starfield's skill system exists. That game brought back levitation. Your brain is outdated
>>4149622it also flopped so todd & co. learned that the gamers do not want that
>>4149746More like they actually want the games to be dumbed down. Did you see the seething when you actually need to skill into actual tangible things like stealth awareness, lateral ship thrusters?
>>4149773>lateral ship thrusters?Morrowind had this already, it was called “press A and D to strafe”
>>4149775Very silly anons are to stay quiet and play with their toys.
>>4149780Come to think of it, Morrowind had levitation, too
>>4148328Whaat does being a game for Spock mean?
>>4148328Gonna probably be the first bethesda game I won't even bother pirating.I can't just read the lore on UESP.
>>4148328>3 major citiesEach "major city" consisting of 7 or 8 houses, of course. One of them has a castle as well.
>>4148884First dlc>mountsYou can guess the rest.
>>4148328i would normally agree that the trend of less cities, less roleplaying, less NPCs, less depth will continuebut can they get away with releasing something lazier than starfield? microsoft appears to be on todds ass
