now that it has been cracked, whats your excuse for not playing the BEST anno title?
>>2332594>Uhm, sweetie, this building doesn't have electricity because it's one tile too farI hate games with rigid zone of influence mechanics
>>2332797German autism please understand
>>2332799I still remember steam guides for Anno 2070. Thank god this shit is mostly phased out
>>2332594how poor does someone have to be to not be able to afford a game 8 years after release
>>2332805At this point you can't immerse yourself in the world of the game. Its no longer that check out my little harbor town experience I prefer...instead, it becomes production ratios and 'muh schnapps chain is 2% inefficient??' I’m going insane!!!!! german autismo sim
>>2332797I can't think of a single builder game that does electricity well. Only one that comes somewhat close is SS13.
>>2332594>60gb of poorly-compressed (or completely uncompressed) textures, audio, and video filesnot worth the write cycles on my ssd
>>2332797And what do you propose?>Uhh yeah dude your building is like 90% powered because we have an incremental drop-off for some bizarre reason
>>2332957make it so that power lines are manually buildable with an upkeep cost
>>2332981Many games already do this, that's the norm
>>2332818it's not about money
>>2332818>buying Ubishit with their malware launcher Pass.
Boring game
>>2332594I don't want to look at black scholars and female engineers in the 19-20th century lol, if I want fantasy I'll go play something better
>>2332818Dont fell like forever renting everything mr.goldberg, I'm afraid since really buying isnt a thing anymore, specially with ubislop, I will acquire definetely some other way
>>2332594>BESTthis isn't 1602
>>2332594I'm white, I don't steal like a nigger such as yourself. Also playing modern ubislop is for simps.
Seems like I'm alone in liking 1800 then. I'm more focused on making a pretty city rather than making production lines at the moment, so I'm using a bunch of cheat mods to increase production. Not all building mods show up in the dedicated build mode so I'm playing sandbox. I started up here and working my way down the island.
>>2353467
>>2353470Blocking out blocks.
>>2353472The rest is just placeholders and nurseries for growing residences. And that's all from me.
>>2353473Forgot the picture
Whats different in this version from the one cracked version we had for ages. Genuinely asking because I've played that one a bunch.
>>2332797There's mods for giving services unlimited range if you prefer.
>>2353475i guess this one contains every dlc
>>2332820You're wrong.Anno 1800 unleashed a new wave of autism where your coffee factory now also produces bicycles for some reason.
>plop down pier on the opposite of the island>as its closer to another island>my current trade route ships decided to use this new pier insteadCan I select which pier to use when setting up a trade route?
>>2353709You can upgrade to an advanced pier and have them only accept one trade good. I think you need the kangz DLC for it though.
>>2332594I haven't touched any of the newer Anno games since 2070 which was fucking terrible. Is this one ever more dumbed down?
>>2353467I like 1800 too, it' s great, just don' t want to play that much city builders.Have you tried New Horizons (the Chaina mod)?
>>2355597imo it's a more developed version of Anno 1404 and 1701
>>2332594>now that it has been cracked, whats your excuse for not playing the BEST anno title?there's no option to automatically balance resources between your islands. you have to constantly fiddle with the knobs to adjust the volume of stuff that is being sent back and forth. Before We Leave solves this problem.
>>2355597Yes and no. The gameplay is better than 2070 but that's only until you realize they kept the magical slottable items and specialists that make any exploration or often entire good chains pointless. For example I maintained a massive top rank pop purely on byproducts and free goods instead of having to explore and import goods.>>2358231You might want to double check that claim. You absolutely can link both pops and most goods across multiple islands with zero hassle.
>africa dlc>it's just about helping goat herders>doesn't even have usefull export goods for the old world>other dlc>full of early 20th century shit and cheat featuresWhy?
>>2332594>game is called 1800>meant to be about the industrial revolution>Industry goes straight from horse carts to combustion engines and electricity with no in between>steam is almost completely absent apart from railways and ships and not used in the industry at all>first time you rven see a railway is when you unlock oil power plants and electricity>not used for transport of any other good>power plants use oil instead of coalThe game itself is fun, but I haven't seen such a horrible take on the industrial revolution before. Did the devs even know what it was?
>>2359040You do get that industrial revolution is just as much if not more about urbanization and vertical integration and how you get there from mostly self sustained and mostly cottage industry and agrarian communities/islands? But it would be nice if trains did more than shuffle oil around.
>>2332594It's boring and I hate their lootbox item stacking gameplay?
>>2358326the best you can do is unload and reload shit which makes your ships take forever at port
>>2360825Docklands
>>2353467Brave choice in making something that utterly dogshit.
>>2360983>single word replywould you care to elaborate, my melaninated interlocutor?
>africa dlc>reward are immigrants>they all turn into highly educated scholars on arrival despite having no schools and being literal goat herders at homeThis has to be on purpose. That's actually hilarious.
>>2332594i dont care for it.
>>2332594But I already own Anno 1701 Sunken Dragon
>>2362875WE
i actually bought it on steam sale, really love the aesthetics and the sense of progression.
>>2332818it's still full price.
>>2368953And cheat mods
>>2362421Docklands dlc made the game core mechanics pretty trivial. you can exchange any goods without needing ships. So if you have excess of anything, just use dockland to swap it to some other good you need.
>>2332594If it's that good, I'd just buy it
this is my place to be.
more of crown falls is complete, soon i will reorganize it for the tourists (and make the grassy bits go away as well).
