Damn i can finally play with the japanese
>>2394347Oh that's pretty sick>$30 USDI'm sure it'll last long
I didn't think Eugene had such a based move in them
>>2394347That's based but holy shit the price is delusional.
>>2394347now hopefully they release a balance patch to get rid of the fucking super pershing, game breaking bullshit
Extremely based. I didn't manage to buy the Japan DLC before it got delisted, so this is excellent news. And for those of you complaining about the price, 30 bucks (or less during sales) for it is very much worth it.
>>2394426i believe they never planned to make the super pershing but the ubicuck suits wanted them to put content in the ubisoft storefront so they were forced to do it. It would awesome to get a balance patch
Honestly pleasantly surprised they didn't make it a "remaster" and asked people who owned it before to buy it again. Would have been too easy, even if modern Eugen has no idea how the old engine worked anymore.
>>2394347two new operations too, pretty cool
>>2394421Ubisoft is paring IPs as it crumbles so it was probably an easy pickup
>>2394472Ubishit can't die quickly enough, I'm tired of UbislopExcept for Trackmania, that can stay
>>2394472it was surreal to launch ruse and the ubisoft logo didnt come up, its free
what are some differences from warno? how good are infantry especially infantry AT weapons like rpgs/at4s/etc?
>>2394484infantry are extremely powerful even outside of cities, tanks have a hard time mopping up light units in a short amount of time
>play ruse>spend entire game just zooming in and out for map table transition kino
>>2394347I was gonna get it and then saw there was some gay puzzle-lite boardgame mechanics or whatever. pass
people are queing for ranked matches, we're so back
>>2394347Fuck yes, thanks Eugene!>>2394441Yeah I actually had to use CreamInstaller/CreamAPI to play it, but I had to find the DLC files for the DLC operations on cs.rin.ru Ironic to see it made available for "free" now.>>2394472Didn't think of that but yeah, terrible sign for Ubi.I wonder if this could mean they'd also sell the World in Conflict IP?Also, can anyone check if they changed anything about the actual game? I read some guy saying they added brand new operations? Looking at the trailer it almost looks like they changed some of the voicework or something.
>>2394727>new operationspreorders came with two exclusive operations and now everyone has them, they aren't new
I don't remember anything about this game but I had it on steam. Its gimmick was that you had stratagems or something right?
>>2394766Yeah, the map was divided into sectors, and you could use timed power-ups on those sectors which could do things like conceal your units in the fog of war, create decoys etc. It wasn't mechanically complicated but getting the other guy to waste resources on building up a bomber fleet only to blow up your decoy base was never not funny
>>2394347Is it good?t. Wargame tard
>>2395127I liked it a lot, but it's mechanically much simpler than the Wargames. You don't have complicated LOS or cover systems, there's far less unit variety and deck-building isn't a thing. It plays like a lot closer to a classic base-building, resource-harvesting RTS.
>>2394727>I wonder if this could mean they'd also sell the World in Conflict IP?Man WiC was such a cool game. It's a real shame that Massive never got to make strategy games after they were acquired by Ubisoft.
>>2395143I see. I will check it out.
>>2394472It's going to be funny if ubi has to drop anno and immediately sales spike and make the studio rich.
>>2394347this game was my childhood. see you guys in multiplayer.
>>2394347I remember this getting lots of hype about the strategy of it all then savage reviews. So I never got into it.
With how other RTS re-masters are received and with how Eugen treats its games, is there anything else that should be added? Should anyone else join the party? Kuomintang, PLA, Poland, Greece, and Finland would all be pretty good options
>>2395753instead of a remaster, make steel division 3 with a simple map editor. i feel sd2 couldve lived forever if they had a map editor instead of the same maps FOREVER and not being able to add more without bloating the size even more.
>>2394472So how much of the money for each purchase of the new HOMM game actually goes to ubi?
>>2395900Ubi doesn't own the license at all anymore
>>2395757Same with Wargame, even more so because SD is divisionslop. If only we had a working map editor or at least ALB and EE maps ported into RD, it could have lived forever.
>>2394347Wasn't this just an early prototype for Wargame?
>>2395757SD2 was ASS
>>2394727World in Conflict 2 would be a monkey's paw situation because Massive is still chained in Ubisofts dungeon and I bet most of the staff has moved on to somewhere else anyway.
>>2396621It was, but it also felt like a more feature-complete game rather than the perpetual balancing and content-mill mess that Eugen has been making for the past decade+
>>2396621Yes. If your next question is whether it was halfbaked that's also a yes.
>>2394477>Ruse is free>HoMM is freeWhat do we have to do to free Anno?
>>2396759wdym? It's already free.
>>2396621I like it more than the wargames, much faster paced and favors aggression instead playing chicken over a forest line. Wish we could get a wargame level of polish for ruse
>>2396624i liked it.
