What are the most interesting CK2 campaigns you've had?
Started as a count in Britanny which I conquered, then made an overseas kingdom of celtic lands with Britanny, Wales, Ireland and Cantabria/Asturias over the first century.Eventually I won a crusade for Jerusalem and switched over to them. I secured the Holy Land and through marriage and assassinations, I took over the Byzantine Empire and kept blobbing in the levant, balkans and Italy.I won another crusade for Iberia to give to another family member which inherited my initial kingdom. At some point this Iberia/Britanny/British Isles kingdom joined the HRE and wormed their way to the top, uniting France, Germany, Iberia under my dynasty. At this point most of southern Europe and Levant were under my Roman Empire Empress in the East, and the HRE emperor in the West which, I married together, Their son was the heir to both, and would inherit the world.I then had a Yazidi heresy pop up in one of my county in the Levant, so I converted my Empress, managed to fend off the whole christendom at bay for decades (including my husband of the HRE) before we both died of age and my yazidi son inherited most of the known world.I kept my Breton culture throughout the campaign, and I tried to keep powerful families alive

>>2406534Haesteinn but I kept gavelkind and each generation, I conquered a new kingdom for my primary heir with prepared invasion and other kingdoms/duchies for the other sons, then supporting the family in their own prepared invasions and wars, until they inevitably convert to gaysus worship
The most fun I ever had was doing an AAR for /gsg/, where I started as a minor count in Stromgarde in the Warcraft mod and worked my way up to save northern Azeroth from the Scourge.I roleplayed as him, spared some of my enemies and gave their defeated family members land back, so their name would survive. Even some of the weirder CK2 mechanics worked out in my favor. Like the fact that you can't declare a war too soon after ending one and the fact that you can only annex the war goal. It ended up working, because I fought an apocalyptic war against the Syndicate, where I had to use everything at my disposal to beat them, despite being outnumbered. And despite only annexing a tiny region from them, they were significantly weaker in the second war. So it was almost like the land itself was still unorganized and disputed and proper order hasn't been established yet and not some weird game mechanic cucking me from annexing them, despite completely occupying them.
>>2406534My first world conquest, starting as the duke of Flanders in 769 was pretty fun. It was also one religion iirc, with buddhist counties in East India being the very last to convert. Also my first Indian campaign in which I united the whole subcontinentI also liked my African campaign as a Berber when they added lands in the middle of the Sahara. I reformed my traditional African religion and united all of Africa and btfo the Caliphs and Italians.
>>2406534PolandI managed to carve out a respectable empire in between the seas and hold off mongols. By the end I maintained an uneasy balance between me, HRE on the west, Horde on the east and Hungary to the south
>>2406534Early in CK2's life, I played a game on Krautchan with 16 other people. People started all over the map, one guy was the king of France, another the Abyssids, someone was the HRE Emperor, etc. Since no one picked anything in Ireland, I started there.Tutorial island isn't that unique of place to start, but I managed to quickly conquer two duchies and set up my son as a Patrician, so when I died my kingdom became a republic. From there, I just built trade posts and amassed so much wealth that by the end of the second session, I had Ireland reunited and a foothold in Scotland. I had so much money, I could afford to hire every mercenary army in the game and still be in the green. No one noticed anything going on until the player closest to me, a guy in Cornwall, came under attack by a powerful duke in England. I came to his rescue and got him to vassalize to me, so after the fight, the Grand Principality of Alba was formed and the British Isles were united.France and the muslim player, who took a large amount of Iberia, had been stomping each other most of the game, so neither was in any real position to stop me from moving in to the low countries. The HRE was fragmented and the emperor had done fuck all, so he was no use either. A crusade got called against one of the Muslim players, but it quickly became a free for all after I entered because no one wanted to cede land to me. I wound up forming the Kingdom of Jerusalem and subsequently lost it to the Byzantine player. Game ended shortly afterwards.
Started as Rurik, grabbed a cute khazar jewish concubine, did a varangian adventure against the Abbasids on Jerusalem, converted to judaism and formed Norse Israel
>>2406534Started in Ireland and united the kingdom (also became an accidental lollard), and while crusading, won, so the Irish ruled Africa.Due to gavelkind it went to my other son, but stayed in the family. Back in Ireland, I managed unite the British Empire.Ended the campaign after an update changed borders/counties. Most places weren't changed that much but Ireland more than doubled in the number of holdings and I could no longer control a majority directly.
>>2407373>converted to judaism and formed Norseno you didn't
>>2407557It was real in my mind
>>2406534Started as Eustache de Boulogne for the achievement, ended up owning all of the middle east and having family members owning the latin empire, Germany and north Africa. Also did a fun one for the Aladdin achievement where I managed to become immortal and leader of the assassins, I had so much intrigue every time a revolt or crusade was launched against me I could just murder people until it broke apart.
>>2407557norse as in culture
>>2406534I end up playing WTWSMS mod for CK2. I just wish they updated it more, unlike CK3, especially the map, as it uses the old map of CK2.
Best campaigns I had were the first few ones where I was still learning and couldn't game every mechanic into my favor.I was playing in Irland when my retarded eldest son asked to join an religious order in Asspain. My youngest son was a genius so of course I accepted this easy line of succession solution.Fast forward a bit, I had put my younger son and hair as a treasurer in my council. As the idiot was collecting taxes, he got mobbed by the peasants, wh left him maimed. As I was fuming over this development, my older son, wh I had forgotten existed at this point, sends me a letter asking me to join a war. I look over asspain to see he was head of a crusading order who owned half of spain, and he had goated warrior traits.
>>2406534Started as a small pagan chief in the baltic area in 1066, grew my holdings through marrying a bigger duke of my pagan faith, had two characters die in this part due to them dying in combat, my third one though I bred the strong trait in my family and he became an unstoppable killer with all the old gods warrior traits, conquered and formed the empire of the wends by bullying the polish and then raiding them and the catholic scandis. Managed to build myself a huge empire by conquering nearly all the way up finland and into the russian heartland and cucking the rurikids, decided not to feudalize and just focused on reforming the faith and went the prosletize way and fought against the christian effort and managed to bring scandinavia into paganism and most of eastern europe. Then the pope declared a couple crusades against me which I beat due to OP heavy inf retinues and calling up all my subject tribes. The mongols invaded sadly the leader died before they could reach me so by the time I fought them they were a mangled corpse. And I really dont remember more from that campaign I think I quit after that because the game became too slow and too easy.
>>2416730And my most fun playthrough ever was playing the elder kings mod and playing a jarl in falkreath with one province, had to survive a war with the orc chieftain nearby that has like 4k men more than you, my liege got war declared on him for a province so what I did was I declared a war on my liege to steal his main province, I won it and by the time I finished my war my liege had only his main province left so I destroyed him completely, allied up with a nearby jarl so I could keep the orc chieftain at bay for a bit, got a lot of money doing fighters guild quests and hired mercs to beat the orc chieftain who beat me and my ally and the mercs, so I ended up having to wait and recuperating my levies and money from paying the peace deal with him, the orc chieftain during this time swallowed some more provinces and I also took some after he weakened my fellow nord jarls in his vicinity, declared on him again now with mercs and with a bigger ally, I think we had like 3k or 4k more men than him, guy fucking beats us again and I was fucking fuming since he had attacked us in hills and we still lost. While I was recuperating again, the orc chieftain took more provinces but he got assasinated by his own son who was way worse statswise and traits wise as well, he got revolts all over from exterminating the nord provinces and trying to resettle them so I instantly declared de jure war and actually beat him. That playthrough was really fun since that character became a vampire after getting bit by one in an random event, and then I conqured nearly half of skyrim with that character before he got assassinated by his own marshal, who was his nephew. His son inherited but we were getting attacked on all sides by nords, reachmen and also by the imperials trying to get through the pass and into skyrim by dejuring my main falkreath duchy, I lost most of the wars and a lot of independence wars since I was too focused on defeating the main colovian imperial armies.
>>2416735Sorry for such long posts anyway.I was reduced to my main falkreath holdings and a couple reachmen counties and started rebuilding again but then the plague came and my character died and I got kinda bored and the game speed started to really slow down so I just left the save. Most fun save I ever had on ck2, I played a lot of agot mod on ck2 aswell and I can remember a couple fun playthroughs but none compare to this one.
>>2416735>>2416737>Elden KingsLol. Why would anyone play that shit?
>>2416772this was in ck2, not the ck3 multiracial fetish one.
>>2406534Probably my first major CK2 run; I started as a Suomi pagan and wanted to form a merchant republic, but Charlemagne became a heretic and it collapsed his empire, while the Norse reformed and took over western Europe. This included using 20k Jomsvikings to bully me whenever, so I lost my merchant republic and became a kingdom in Pskov, living only due to Suomenusko defensive bonuses. It took many centuries, but I eventually found a way to fight back, fighting along alongside Christian Mongols and the Byzantines whenever we had the chance because none of us could do it on our own. /gsg/ encouraged me to form Hyperborea but the custom empire creator chose a disgusting color you couldn't change as easily thenI shared the AAR with /vg/gsg/ back in the day, it was a fun timehttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1HPD3CSQ_fCC0Atw6k5Gkaj7u541oDFrttkhjb86QVaE/edit?usp=drivesdk
>>2417395Nvm on the byzantines, the muslims took over iberia and anatolia then never did anything against the norse
>>2406534Stared as Ottomans near the end of the timeline and got myself elected Byzantine emperor. That was neat.
>>2406727>Poland>I managed to carve out a respectable empire in between the seas and hold off mongols. By the end I maintained an uneasy balance between me, HRE on the west, Horde on the east and Hungary to the southIn early CK2 version before implementing diplomatic distance, I made the first Kang of Poland black due to selective breeding.
