i fucking love this game bros. when do i get my next qt party member after Leton?
>>2420194to be clear: Leton is a faggot, i'm asking when a qt girl is going to join
>>2420194Hold out hope for /ourqueen/.
>>2420059I exclusively used sweeper.
>>2420200is she from a DLC or will i get her soon
>>2420212It's a free dlc, you should just get it now.
>>2420214well i have the DLC's but don't really know how they work, isn't it just stuff after the main story? i'm a few missions after getting Leton i forget what chapter
>>2420219DLCS are just extensions to the game, once you finish the base game you'll get to the dlcs.
>>2420194You get Bianca and Alisa at the start of DLC1 (White Lion and Black Witch), after the end of the base game>>2420219Leton joins at the end of chapter 5, chapter 6 is the end of the base game and the start of DLC1, chapter 7 is entirely DLC1, and chapter 8 is entirely DLC2 (Crimson Crow).Chapter 6 goes by pretty quickly since it's mostly solo or small group missions that are story-focused.
>>2420265thanks anon that was all very helpful and exactly what i wanted to know
>>2420196I will not stand for this slander of such a righteous and mighty individual. Leton is the most loyal and honorable character in the entire game, every decision he makes is based around what would be best for his friends. It's not really his fault that he was put in a no win scenario where his best option in life was becoming a special ops agent for the corrupt Valhalla government. If anything I feel like the character that really falls apart in this game is Ray, Heixing is dying of the heart transplant and all Ray can think about is quitting her association with her supposed family and spending time with her friends, while Leton is desperately searching for ways to save him.
>>2420280my problem with him is that he's ugly
>>2420280Does Ray even know about that?
>>2420208what a heroic looking pepe
>>2420288Ray never really asks or presses Heixing on his past and mostly just feels sorry for herself when she honestly has had it better than any of the other Alley kids, and then just goes back to her new circle of friends and leaves Carter to Leton and Heixing. Honestly feels like she's being written out of the storyline entirely with how they're handling her by the end of Crimson Crow. She has no real connection to any of the major story beats outside of her Alley connection and even that connection is more or less gone by the end of the first game with that story thread 100% focusing on Carter, Leton and Heixing. Even Turk and Na'am seem more relevant than her.
hopefully one of the dandylion devs got a girlfriend so we can have romance in banished
>>2420320dandy are all TRVECELs
>>2420320>koreanunlikelyThe incel epidemic, gender wars, and hypergamy are 10x worse over there than in the west and the devs are probably all at least in their mid-to-late 30s at this pointalso I would find it hard to self-insert as any character that isn't Albus so I wouldn't really care much for romance in BC
>>2420331surely they all made some decent money since then so maybe not all hope is lost, stay optimistic desu
>>2420333>surely they all made some decent money since thenThey already had to delay work on the sequel once already to make a second DLC and all the outfit packs so they could get the funds to continue their work on Banished Children.
>>2420335yeah because they spent all their money learning the ins and outs of slaying pussy so they can give us romance in Banished Children
>>2420287He just hides how bishie he is
>>2420208A lot of people do. I think that anon is just extrapolating his own experience. In joint drills Heixing's class split is about 60/40 Ranger/Sweeper. They're both unfair classes at max capacity, and Sweeping Fire go brr
>>2420383She's so cool...
>>2420383Kylie is best fish
>>2420280>t. freeze nade abuserthe 3 Alley boys really make a point of not telling Ray anything, then Kylie does the same, then dandy write her out of the plot so we won't even get a qt gyaru grenadier in the sequelit's not fair reeeeee
>>2420280Ray gave me head near the back of a convenience store. How could I not call her best girl?
>>2420413The whore of WindWall strikes again...
>>2420287Dandy has a rather unique artstyle but idk what the fuck they were smoking when they came up with leton's design. Ever since I got all the costumes I keep him on the secret agent skin 24/7 because his default is so ugly.
>>2420564He's missing his iconic skull make up
>>2420573Its his weird orangutan looking stance that is so ugly for me.
Leton is the GOAT.
I've been running Bloody Berserker this playthrough for the absolute memery of it. It's pretty scary to tard wrangle him, but despite the nail-biting fear whenever it triggers, he's actually not that bad. I just wish it would use Tornado Slash and not prioritise Gale Slash so much. But on the other hand, he aims Gale Slash pretty well for multikills so it's not usually a waste.
>>2420590BB is surprisingly good, pic rel is my end game setup I used to solo 58V. Not really too different from yours since it looks like you also found the Second Wind synergy.
>>2420592Yeah, I pretty much always run Second Wind on Albus and Bianca. It gives way too much survivability for four individually useful masteries. Haven't thought much beyond that. I may swap out Phys Res 2 for Metallic Muscle Armor later once I get Steel Armor, but that leaves him terribly exposed to ESP compared to Final Resistance, and FR is only 2 more Defence slots with my board which is attainable once I get the Human masteries.
>>2420595You will definitely need to spec into crit damage reduction. BB Albus only ever dies to a fat crit otherwise the guy can eat most attacks and be fine. Draki's perfect scale is the only accessory you will need for the DLCs on him. Also something that isn't relevant for the build early but is relevant later is giving him a shitty sword instead of a good one. The rampage buff will lead to him 1 shotting everything instead of attacking -> bladestorm followup to trigger all the bonus effects from killing enemies with bleed. Eluote from Ralph becomes the best sword for a BB build because the crazy block bonuses it gives helps to reduce enemy crit chance and the shitty attack damage doesn't matter.
>>2420607That explains the lack of Muscle Training.Right now my Albus is rocking Ryo's sword that he spoonfed me at the harbour.
>>2420617Oh one other thing; rampage AI is fucking retarded and its always worth it to drop any ranged abilities. If you don't the AI will waste turns doing ranged attacks against enemies in full cover a mile away.
Ouch. ESP hurts like fuck when you have 23 Resisistance
>>2420633Nice screenshot. I love those killcams.
>>2420665Anne... is dead...
>>2420669Yeah, that seems about right
>>2420665they get you some nice angles sometimes
>>2420633
I wish Martial Artist Leton had 2 basic ability slots so I could run both Taunt and his basic attack for a counter build. Taunt seems like the best way to keep counterattack worthwhile in late game, and MA gets the best counterattack damage. I know White Knight can make good use of both taunt and counterattack, but theirs is a lot more situational.Maybe if we got the Tier 3 classes, then Action Star or Battlemaster would be perfect for that.
>>2420665for me it's VHPD strikers nutcracking villains to death
>>2421082WELCOME TO MY STEIJICounterattack on Leton is still pretty useful because enemy aggro prioritises units who have attacked a lot, and he has inbuilt Clenched Fist so he won't be taking Retaliation counters. He also suppresses for 40 AT with his punch so enemies won't get many repeat turns against him even if they dogpile him.
Took screenshots to show a friend various moments of this map and realised it shows a pretty nice progression in just a few screenshotsEstablishing shot, I picked Heixing bro because Sweeper obliterates this map
took a couple nights off playing to watch the Dollars trilogy...back in action tonight Troubleshooterbros
Shooting Anne in the head. She's a White Mage but she's Earth-based so she doesn't have Impulse Fields. Most enemies don't have this kind of firepower yet, and Anne usually has SP giving her block. Sand Castle already got broken via Sweeping Fire.
Albus was pretty fucking annoying. Just like with the White Tiger Snipers earlier, Giselle could only do 1 damage to him with Fire Support, and even with full Still Stance she couldn't end him in 1 turn until he went into Second Wind about eight or nine times.Frogge was my intended distraction, but my frog missed its Forestallment
Irene killed my frog, and Heixing killed Irene. She had Phoenix, but I burned it before she got close to the tower.
A bit of Giselle and Heixing wombo combo later and the map was pretty much over
The number of people raging at this map on the forums over the years...
Anyway, that's Giselle and Heixing being fair and balanced against my own un-neutered team
Oh yeah, here's the stats. Overwhelming offence. The cops used Conceal to trigger Cover Move to eat a few attacks for free. That's the last of the screenshots.
Does the Asia server actually have a more active PvP scene than the NA and EU servers?Posts in previous threads talk about Asia PvP teams like they're a lot crazier than teams in western servers. I might start a save over there if so.
>>2421507I think this mission would be much more interesting if there were VHPD snipers
>>2421888I'm not far enough along to have it unlocked on this file yet, but there have been a lot of social people in town, and in the past I've had random PVP requests from people as I was loading in. Either way, the joint drills here are usually pretty spicy which is fun for messing around postgame.
>>2421992>there have been a lot of social people in town, and in the past I've had random PVP requests from people as I was loading insounds like what I was looking for, will I be able to communicate with Asia players with just English?
I wonder if this is just referring to the witch class (or fragrance for beasts), or if Dandy at some point intended there to be gender-specific masteries?
Somehow there's forward-facing cover on these two tiles in the first optional case despite there being nothing in front of them
>>2421999Most of them speak English at least a little bit, yeah
>>2422024There are tons of small terrain errors like that throughout the game. Cover, pathing and even walls seem to be manually set instead of auto generated. There are also a bunch of places you can get out of bounds with Wind Walk or other movement skills because of how sloppy Dandylion can be with their map barriers.
>>2421979But the point of that map was to train the VHPD in combat against snipers since they don't have any themselves...
>>2422042Oh, I had completely forgotten the context :(
>>2422049It's basically a map to show how OP Giselle is.I've managed to beat all of the VHPDs as well as my entire team every time I replay the game.
BIG numbers in a few levels. Heixing is 47 right now.
>>2422103The tanky stats on the legendary Drifter Clowns equipment is nice but I find it hard to pass up on some of the bonuses other shoes give, like the cast delay reduction from black iron leather shoes or the still stance enemy block reduction from mungo hide shoes.I like Wei's shoes on ranger Heixing though, he can dash to a position with cover and get both an attack with Resistance Shot and the -10 AT from the bonus effect, it gives him extremely fast turns.
>>2422126Yeah, Wei's shoes are usually pretty hard for me to pass up. They're one of the shoes with +2 base movement so it's possible to roll +3 on them which both Giselle and Heixing appreciate.
What did she mean by this?
>>2422277alley gypsies are hated even by their own kind
draw the wife or beat my head against the wall trying to improve the time on the 58V solo...
>>2421979or the VHPD Rocket Launcher like in the early promo video :D>>2422103did the clowns get nerfed, i wonder? i haven't heard anyone seething about them in ages
>>2422765>did the clowns get nerfed, i wonder? i haven't heard anyone seething about them in ageswe (I) seethe about impulse field snipers these daysalso what's everyone's thoughts on the star wars xcom
>>2422765They got nerfed indirectly because everyone's boards have 2 extra slots from Crimson Crow's board expansions that the previously maxed clowns don't make use of. I still find them pretty strong on replays when I skip most of the optional cases, but they're not unreasonable.
Never seen this before.
>>2422924chain effects be liek: if mercury is in retrograde and you critically hit an enemy to exactly 1 hp +1 to current stun duration
>>2422926>Mercury RetrogradeCould be possible in BC given that one of Claudia's advanced classes will be Astrologian
>>2422926And then there's Collision which is just>lol you knocked someone into a wall/other unit
>>2422919that's probably itnew players will never experience the joy of getting honked. sad, tragic even
Savana, my love. Give me ALL the Draki hearts.
>>2422926Chain effects are something I really hope they rework or expand on in BC. I've posted about it before in a previous thread but I think it would be nice if different status effects would interact with each other, like enemies with wet and shocked would also get stunned or get an upgraded shocked effect.>>2422957I started playing last year and got honked pretty hard my first time in DLC1, though only in the later missions. The way some people were complaining about the clowns judging by forum posts was like they couldn't even get past the night market. I guess that's to be expected since it's still a pretty big difficulty spike even if you're prepared for it. Destrons, the unique bicrons, and the dusk rangers was what really fucked me up in DLC1, though.>>2423010I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to buy the lowest tier then craft them all up into the higher tiers (or just let auto-crafting handle it when making gear), assuming you can do that with draki hearts. It works like that for most other materials.
>>2423020You're right, it's 3 Draki Hearts and a Flame Crystal (1508 vil) for a Whole Draki's Heart so it's about a 1600 vil discount to craft it myself. Meh, that's not such a big deal.
>>2423020>Chain effects are something I really hope they rework or expand on in BC. I've posted about it before in a previous thread but I think it would be nice if different status effects would interact with each otherThey already nailed that with field effects imo. Little details like knockback working better on ice tiles, lightning attacks hitting harder on water tiles and all of the synergies with lava tiles makes for fun interactive maps. It's also true though that a lot of those synergies are very rare due to the map design prioritizing metropolitan areas.
I love Skilled Military Strategist. I'm certain the reason Kylie almost starts with the full set equipped + The Expert is so she can feed people AT with wind grenades like this
Also it stacks for each enemy you stun
I'm so impatient for Banished Children it's become unhealthy.Literally everyday I check the steam forums, to see if they've even hinted at anything while responding to posts, I also check their xitter and the jewtube where they uploaded the OSTs to see if there's anything new there, even though they haven't posted anything since the last news update.I would also be checking whatever korean websites they posted their stuff on but I don't remember what those are and sometimes korean websites block my IP or browser for some reason. When they updated the game last month they said they had some development issues but it still seems like they're set on showing gameplay in the next dev diary, hopefully.
>>2423577Truly we have become the Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children
>>2423577You can't really speed it up unless you want to get hired by dandylion and work for free. Your best bet is to just forget about it and check back later.
>>2423122>>2423129Neat, I never thought about using it like that.
>>2423577Every time you check the steam page the game gets delayed by another day. I don't make the rules that is just how reality works.

I know some people are expecting Albus to become an irredeemable villain but I think it would make since if he becomes an anti-villain.He seems on track to become disillusioned with the corrupt Valhalla government when he learns the truth about the disaster that killed his mother and the anti-government spoonists are depicted somewhat sympathetically compared to the other enemy factions. Albus currently doesn't seem to have strong convictions or really understand what's going on other than being the best troubleshooter he can to get access to classified government information, but he also doesn't seem totally machiavellian as some people make him out to be. I think it makes a lot of sense that he would end up opposing the Valhalla government on personal and/or moral grounds then maybe end up using some unscrupulous methods against them. Also I think it's worth pointing out that most "unprincipled" choices he can take during missions are suggestions from Giselle, then there's the flashback from the time in her company where she admonished Albus for basically being heroic and self-sacrificial in a way that led to him being injured. Albus isn't that bad of a guy on his own, he's just being corrupted by an evil hag.Being an anti-villain would also make for some interesting interactions with Irene who sees the world in a pretty black-and-white manner, where people are either villains or not. That black-and-white worldview works when most of the people she's fighting are terrorists or career criminals, but if Albus is a villain with a good motive, it would force Irene to confront her views on villainy and give her some internal conflict. Who would be the bigger villain in that situation, Albus, or the corrupt government? Could Albus even really be considered a villain if he has objectively good motives?
>>2425069>He seems on track to become disillusioned with the corrupt Valhalla governmentNot to pick on you anon, but what is this thread's obsession with Albus vs. Valhalla? Whatever Albus decides to do vis-a-vis Valhalla's political situation is secondary to his story at best. *WHY* does he want access to the files on the disaster so badly? What is the most important thing he's lacked for the last ten years? What is the subtitle of the fucking game? Albus's current arc doesn't end with a conflict with Valhalla, it ends with a conflict with his father (and possibly Lily).
>>2425078Probably because it's been several years with no sequel so random guesses are gradually morphing into a collective headcanon
>>2425069If he does become traitor to the government, it would probably be him linking up with a crime org and acting as a man on the inside. But I agree what the other anon said. On a thematic level, Albus being an anti valhalan criminal is AURA and HYPE moment tier.
>>2425078uhhh is she throwing a roman here?
>>2424558Giselle just works
>>2425084Newfriend... that idea has been around since way before the DLs released.

>>2425132He pretends to be a goody two-shoes. Maximillion calls him out on it a few times.
>>2425177>armpit hairplease never post again
>>2425069>>2425078I don't know if Albus will turn out to be the villain, but it is foreseeable that many people, including him, will turn against the government. The truth behind the disaster is that the government murdered 100,000 people, including Albus' mother, Alma. This fact gives not only Albus, but anyone within Valhalla a just and reasonable cause to rebel. Then, in BC, we will have Yuri joins the team. It's hard to believe the Team Ari being Valhalla-friendly with him on board.

i'm like 85 hours deep and i still feel like i don't know shit about half the mechanics
>>2427176That's normal
>>2427174I think the Gold Tongue is pretty strong for the base game, and the Gold Wing has a skill that can burn down a large area of spider webs, which should be very useful against the Yasha. He was killed by his frog brother, so I didn't get a chance to test it
>>2427174They glow in the dark, like Leton.
>>2427176Yeah there's a lot to learn in this game. Are there any mechanics you want explained to you?>>2427174Gold Wing is one of the best dororis in the game along with Adventurer dorori, it can easily set up burn on targets to take advantage of all the fire masteries that activate when attacking a target with burn.Gold Molar gets outclassed by Blue Teeth in terms of abilities.Gold Tongue is probably the best of the three, partially because negooris are just strong but it also has some nice multi-hit/aoe abilities with access to lightning masteries for a lot of damage and a 12-range dashing ability.
>>2427236>Are there any mechanics you want explained to you?how retarded am i for basically ignoring crafting, drone upgrading, and beasts until now? im about to get a draki
>>2427494nta>craftingCrafting is safe to keep ignoring for now, but you will want to learn how it works by the end of White Lion/Black Witch because there are a bunch of powerful craft-only items (it's pretty simple, just not explained well in-game. You make items to unlock other items' recipes)>dronesDrones are more trouble than they're worth right now. They're material-intensive and you probably don't have many masteries for them yet. They get massive power spikes at the end of each DLC.>beastsDrakis are a good time to start getting into them, but if you haven't been using them at all until now then you've pretty much been down a party member this whole time. There are a bunch of maps later in the game where having a kickass beast helps a lot. There are also tons of masteries that you can only get by taming stuff.Hunter has a mastery that makes levelling beasts really fast, so it won't take that long to catch up once you get that.
>>2427494You can beat the game without tames and drones. Beasts can be pretty strong but the other anon might be overstating their power, or maybe I just personally haven't been using/building them right (I prefer sniper over hunter on Giselle). Drakis require a bit more investment than other beasts since they all start from like level 1 and have 4 evolution stages, but are all generally top-tier.Beasts are a lot more straightforward than drones since they use a lot of the same (or similar) masteries to your human team members. Drones on the other hand use "modules" instead of masteries and have their own equipment and fuel mechanics.Crafting is pretty important though, at least in my experience. You can get away with not touching it in the base game, but by the DLCs it will probably be your main source of gear unless you don't mind farming joint drills or violent cases to get whatever specific purple equipment you want. High-level (45+) equipment have bonus effects that help with a lot of builds (stuff like crit damage reduction or enemy block reduction) and purple-rarity equipment can roll the best modifiers for useful stats. If you've been scrapping all your unneeded loot so far, then materials shouldn't be too much of a concern. Be sure to unlock all the crafting recipes for higher-tier materials so you can extract lower-tier materials from them, that helps a lot with getting stuff like flame dust and small oil sacs.
>>2427494Beasts are easy enough to power level if you know the method. There's a guide about it on steam. And drakis are busted, for what they give you.
Interesting Battlemage Irene spotted on Asia>built around fire fields granting mega defences + recovery>three-piece Gold Leather set granting stun immunity, 15% melee block reduction and the charm gives another 15% against ailing enemies>two-piece Big Flame Negoori set purely for the attributes>Tough Spirit on his board for contraction/panic/magic backflow immunityHe has no cooldown reduction so he can't set up that many fields, but it's an unusual build style that I haven't seen before. The rest of his party is pretty ordinary, except that he has Argonaut on his Ranger Heixing for some reason, and Unpredictable on Sion which isn't that obscure to pvpers in this thread but not many people do it in the wider population

>>2427678i've actually tried upgrading Kylie's but don't know where to get the purple mats

>>2428208>Most materials can be bought from vendors in Shooter Street, if you've progressed far enough.Yeah>teeth, claws and oils from the potions guy>fiber and skins from the general store>parts and machine items from Maximillion>gems from Savana>psi stones from CamilaMost of the quests from them unlock additional stock, but if you've been doing them up to that point they'll have pretty much everything except progression-based items like crabmit leathersMaximillion also sells grenades and sprays for Ray.

>>2428462I was going to say it could just be a random guy that looks a lot like him, but that CG shows up during exposition about the disaster that killed Albus's mom after the plaza mission, and Dandy almost never puts much focus or details on background characters, even recurring ones, in their CGs.You could try asking Dandylion on the forums, they used to drop a lore tidbits that aren't told in-game there when people asked about the story and worldbuilding.
>>2372244Months ago, I got all achievements, masteries, modules, and sets unlocked on a single save, but never bothered with troublemaker information or crafting recipes since that all seemed too grindy for no achievements or practical benefit. But since the recent nerf to information requirements and the fact that my Albus has a Scrooge McDuck bank vault full of vill, I decided to knock out getting 100% info on all baddies, include joint drill variants, and max out all crafting recipes. So this is now a true 100% save file.
>>2428462>>2428514That's Sharky. Check out his right hand, he holds on to a spoon while the TV reports about Spoonism in that scene.
>>2428545That's what I thought until anon showed the comparison, but look at the hair patterns
>>2428545Sharky shows up later without his mask talking to Issac, and he's wearing his jacket with the spiked shoulders there. I feel like if Dandylion wanted us to know that was Sharky, then he would be wearing the same jacket here. Plus he seems way too short to be Sharky.Same nose, same mouth, same face shape, similar hair, eyes seemingly intentionally obscured compared to everyone else in the CG, shows up when talking about the disaster and when Albus first makes news in the plaza attack. Could just be a coincidence, they had to have drawn hundreds of random background characters so some are bound to look similar to people we know, but this one seems like it could be deliberate.Visha shows up in a bunch of different flashback CGs like the ones from Leton's and Bianca's childhood, you can also see Turk and Naam in the Alley flashbacks. So Dandy can be pretty intentional with who they draw in the backgrounds.
>>2428462>>2428514>>2428548>>2428556This is some Mandela effect shit, apparently that CG doesn't actually show up in a cutscene?I replayed both the plaza mission and Sion's recruitment mission and that CG didn't show up in either of them, when it should be in one of those missions according to the gallery. I also checked the cutscenes in the cutscene replay option menu, doesn't show up there. Then I figured that maybe it just doesn't show on replays, so I looked at let's plays of those missions, and it never showed up the first time the let's players cleared the missions either.Fucking bizarre, since I seem to remember seeing that CG right after the plaza mission. Maybe my brain just made up fake memories since the gallery makes it seem like it should appear then.
>>2428574It's from the cutscene "A Night With A Full Moon" in chapter 2. I think it might be somewhere else as well because I remember it being unobscured when I did my most recent playthrough a few weeks ago
>>2428574It is from the construction site mission where Irene shows up to help.
>>2428582>>2428586naruhodoIn the construction site mission cutscene given the context, it seems like it was just showing a spoonist sympathizer among the regular populaceI guess it's just a coincidence that it looks like Ventus, then
what in the fuck is with this mission? i failed 4 times on hard and still can't even beat this piece of shit on normal, someone spoonfeed me where exactly i should send everyone before i lose my mindeverything was going well then literally 30 motherfuckers appear to fight the 6 cops at the north entrance and i still couldn't even get to them in time even spamming movement for 5 straight turns and having my team split up
>>2428634That's the final story map of the base game. The important thing to know is that the enemies start pushing towards one of the groups of cops when Foo dies (it's a literal 50/50 between whether they go north or south), so you have until then to send a group around the East of the map towards the North to be ready.
>>2428634Don't rush straight into the center to kill Foo first. That triggers all the White Tigers to try to rush the police line to break out.Instead, have most of your units climb over the barricade on the right side of the street you come in from, and kill as many White Tigers on the periphery of the map before they all decide to rush the defensive line, and maybe have some units meet up with the cops there.
>>2428639>>2428640thank you anons, i'll probably give it another go on hard tonight with this information since my problem was never the enemies being too hard and cool, i knew i was coming up on the end but didn't realize it was the last one
Been spamming joint drills on Asia and ran into a guy with an absolutely monstrous Giselle and Heixing duo. When I first played his team I mentally wrote them off because of the level 59 Leton, but holy fuck this is not a work in progress team.I also have a collage of his Heixing which I'll post next, but the rest of his team was relatively standard besides a half-Spirit Ray
Here's his Heixing. Paired with his Giselle he wiped me the first time I faced his team, and got me down to 3 dudes the second time
>>2428690>White Tiger's Mark on GiselleThat makes a lot of sense, I prefer more defense gear on her like her Hunter's Seal or a Noble Scale, but Giselle probably benefits the most from the raw attack power.>>2428691>Dunames S - MP of SweeperI'm so jealous, I've been trying to get one of those on and off for the past couple of weeks but have been getting unlucky with drops and rolls. A perfect roll on one of those will have +80% critical damage on top of the +30% critical damage to responsive attacks. That's probably why that Heixing was able to wipe your team.I Can Do This gives another +50% crit damage too. I would've tried to fit Vocation or Breakthrough in there for some block reduction to get more crits.
>>2428712>GiselleYeah, I also tend to use defensive items on my own Giselles. I guess he feels pretty safe with 20 sight.>HeixingProfessionalism instead of Morale Boost would probably be the play, yeah. I don't think block reduction was his priority because So There You Are is -30% to marked targets and I've Got You In My Sight is Overwatch autocrits against revealed enemies, which he can set up himself or with Giselle's flare.I'd also be tempted to swap the Bull Seal out for a Weight, but having played that team there were a lot of attacks that would have done about 2700-2900 to him that he wouldn't have survived without it.Either way, it's the hardest team I played all night.
>>2428690Giant Killer Giselle is pretty rude lolthe Heixing's pretty similar to what i run, AT refunds out the wazoo, So There You Are... to not get fucked by Misty>Alchemist Rayit was shit, wasn't it... even a spirit board can't save Alchemist

>>2429307Cute assassin duo.
>>2429326Ya did it. Which element are you getting first?
>>2429329no idea, how do i pick? and where should i level this guy
>>2429330You'll get a choice when it's time to evolve the egg. Each elemental line gives you a mastery at the end that lets you convert skills' elements to/from that element. You also eventually need a melee Wind Draki for a couple of achievements.>levellingThe metafag choice is Firefly Park with Challenge Mode enabled and your units loaded up with exp masteries, but I don't do that myself. Just having it out on whatever mission you're running to passively soak up exp is good enough. Eventually you'll get a mastery that gives +10% beast exp per level below Giselle if you don't have it already, which makes it very fast to catch up.
>>2429330>no idea, how do i pick?level it up a bit and it will let you evolve it into a baby draki of one of the SP types>and where should i level this guyjust summoning it will let it gain passive exp from your team's kills which is kinda slow but requires no effort. some people put final blow on their low-level beasts and try to feed them kills, which levels them a bit faster. pic rel shows the meta way, if you have access to the scholar set that gives all units bonus exp gains then bring kylie or ray with that set equipped too>>2429331i got ninja'd by this post
>>2429330If you intend on redoing the mission, air element drakis give you access to the queen.
>>2429331cool thanks i saw the evolution charts but didn't read much yet. i haven't needed to grind yet but i'm on the final story mission so i'm going to try to grind my draki up a bit before i do it
>>2429330>>2429335>air element drakis give you access to the queenGet one of these, it will make getting more drakis easier in the future and will let you hatch the special eggs that appear in a couple of DLC missions
>>2429334>some people put final blow on their low-level beasts and try to feed them kills, which levels them a bit fasterDoing that is way faster. They can get like 40,000 exp from a single kill that way without exp masteries.

>>2429349Draki Queen is on those difficulties now too. Has been for ages.
What's a good accessory for end-game Heixing? I just put a purple mungo hide wrist guard on him for the crit damage. Something with more vigor like Mash's bracelet might be better for sweeper, but I mostly play him ranger.
>>2429369early dlc 2 I just slap on the red sand scope late game I slap on white hat to give him tons of luck procs
>>2429372By accessories I meant like bracelets and wrist guardsFor the gear slot I personally can't find anything better than a Noble Scale, he's squishy enough to need it and fast enough to make good use of it
>>2429369Ranger can pretty much get away with anything in the arm slot. Most people online just give him a big HP bracelet with speed on it. If you're playing him in a manner that he's getting hit a lot, a Demolisher Wristguard for bleed immunity makes a big difference in his tankiness.I like to give him Mash's gear as a Ranger so he disables other rangers' Cover Move if they get into Revenge Fire loops. It's not as cheesy as White Hat but it feels good.
>>2429366She doesnt' spawn in easy mode. So you could say... you get easier access to eggs.
After I got my first queen I just get all my basic draki tames from Karmait's a lot quicker and easier than doing 44v, even when retreating early
>>2429381Ranger heixing should never be getting hit with his cover move for noble scale to be worth it imo.But for his arm slot I just throw on whatever and don't really think about it.
>>2429383She does. If that's the current version of the game, the troublemaker list is wrong.
>>2429399Yeah, that's the current version. That's pretty strange actually.
>>2429410Dandylion changed it at my request because they agreed that Drakis being unable to be tamed on low difficulties was unreasonable. Adding the queen on all difficulties was seen as the simplest way to change it, but it was such a hackjob change that it left minor errors. I think the boss count on the HUD in the mission itself is wrong too.
I tamed a few drakis eggshells in 44v on hard without too much issue.A lot of them run towards the corner in the main chamber, so Giselle with Reload can easily tame a couple in like 0 AT
>>2429427The way I do it is to stand on the cliff in the entry tunnel until they hatch, then run down and nab two from the closest group. With Bounding Leap you can go anywhere you want!
Just ran into my meme HP team that I made on one of my Asia files previously. The interesting thing is that the file was actually deleted to make room for this one I'm currently playing on, so teams are kept around even through deletions. That's cool, that means my fat exp team will remain in circulation pretty much forever. It also has Call of Wind/Earth/Ice/Water on it so people will potentially get spoonfed those masteries.
It's not a very powerful team and it's going to give fuck all loot because everyone's in almost entirely set items, but lmfao

>>2428898>>2429013I find it hard to justify using SP-based builds on most team members just because a lot of them have very good ultimate abilities. There's no way I'm not using Lightning Storm or Reinforced Attack Protocol if I can hit it on a group of enemies or kill a single tough enemy with it.The ones that don't have good ultimates either don't have a good SP bonus worth sitting on, or they have much better options than SP masteries and sets. Like Irene does enough damage normally, she doesn't need the bonus damage from fire SP, while Giselle's class masteries are so much better than spirit and SP-focused masteries. Some beasts can definitely benefit more from SP builds than the team can, but I think drones consistently get the most benefit from just sitting on overcharge. The only drone ultimate that isn't a minor upgrade to their basic attack is the rifle ultimate which is a mini annihilation shot, and staying overcharged helps drones not run out of fuel. Plus information and heating SP give some of the best stat bonuses in the game.>>2429820>4/5 star rolls and +9 on his armorwow what a scrub>>2429927Albus could totally get out of that situation, depending on his build. This is the guy who can use second wind, get -30 AT every time he blocks, ignore fatal damage if he has enough vigor, or just wind walk away.
>>2430051>or just wind walk away.
>>2430051>I find it hard to justify using SP-based builds on most team members just because a lot of them have very good ultimate abilities. There's no way I'm not using Lightning Storm or Reinforced Attack Protocol if I can hit it on a group of enemies or kill a single tough enemy with it.Blowing up a group is usually worth it, but most ultimate skills have high cast delay that not every build can mitigate. If you're running a SP build you can usually deal ultimate-like damage with your regular skills while benefiting from the defensive/offensive bonuses of being at max SP>Like Irene does enough damage normally, she doesn't need the bonus damage from fire SPFire SP's bonus damage interacts in a really strange way with the damage formula that has the side effect of making it great at getting around damage reduction. It also makes Phoenix restore more HP on activation, so having Irene sit at high SP makes her both safer and stronger. Similarly, every Spirit user has access to Sharp Spirit for 20% block shred per 100 SP and Overflowing Spirit for +50% damage reduction while overcharged in addition to the accuracy bonus from Spirit SP. There are other masteries that give them more effects too.Misty with an SP build gets +20% dodge per 100 SP and reduces enemy evasion by the same amount. Anne gets +50% block per 100 SP and reduces enemy block by that much which is hilarious on Witches. Sion has Overflowing Energy for incredibly easy 36AT turns while overcharged, and can be combined with Energy Conversion for a ghetto Draki's Fancy Scale effect. Leton gets 200 flat damage reduction per 100 SP even without the doubling effect of Cold of Despair pushing it to 400, which makes him significantly tankier and extremely hard to damage in Final Resistance. These aren't theoretical use cases either. I've used all of them at one point or another. People underestimate SP builds because "hehe big boom" combined with SP effects being kind of mediocre without any investment.

>>2430268Holy kino...
i just got to dlc1 and i was mostly following steam guides on how to build characters as I didn't want to really interact with the mastery system as I found it needlessly complicated and a little annoying as the menus are quite slow (why does making masteries also pull up a loading bar?) i pretty much followed this build for albus but I tried a bloody berserker build like the one in the thread, which was kind of funny but saw him get 1 shotted by a stray crit. what the hell is a draki scale and where do I get one, and should I be just focusing on proccing bleed with albus for action economy? i noticed the skills that reduce your turn time via bleed are great, paired with catharsis or some mastery set that refunds skill cooldowns on killing, but it seems like setting all that up requires leaving out masteries to increase his block and ability to bypass blocks.
>>2430368Rampage makes you really squishy because one of its effects is to make you lose 300 armour and resistance while it's active. Drifter Clowns also just hit really hard, especially the Skeleton Masks>what the hell is a draki scale and where do I get oneThere's three of them, all from the Draki bosses>Draki's Fancy Scale - makes you take your turn instantly when hit for more than a third of your max HP at once, drops from Draki Barons>Draki's Noble Scale - 90% damage reduction for the first hit of each turn, drops from Draki Princes>Draki's Perfect Scale - 100% critical damage reduction (same as Steel Armor and stacks additively with it), Keen Sense, and dodges the first responsive attack of each turn. Drops from Draki King and Queen.Whether to focus on Bloodbath abuse is up to you. It doesn't necessarily make him any squishier because Great Swordsman has a good amount of Attack and Defence slots anyway. I don't often run it myself because I think it's too cheesy on him.

>>2430368>>2430398Have you done the late-game violent cases for the base game yet? 46v has a couple of legendary weapons that reduce enemy block and armor with plenty good stats. As you get further in DLC1 you'll find some masteries that might help as well.>what the hell is a draki scale and where do I get oneThere are three different type of draki scales which all have decent effects and they drop from the draki bosses (barons, princes, queen, and king), but usually when people are talking about draki scales they're referring to the perfect draki scale which drops from the king and queen which has several useful effects, with the crit damage reduction being the biggest.

>>2430487>but all my frontliners are too squishy, and i have irene and sion as battlemages with iron heart and other defensive masteries.Irene as a martial artist will be sufficiently tanky. For sion you really want improved magic shield + magic armor for the phat 100%+ block. Battlemages can take a big hit and impulse fields it before countering for a free full heal.
>>2430490It's hard to explain but sometimes sion is sufficiently tanky and sometimes i just see him get one shotted. I used to have him as just a pure caster before with one shot one kill and he would clear the map as long as there was anything killable, until everything started getting impulse fields or some equivalent. now hes not really that strong and he's not really that tanky. impulse fields gets deleted by multi hit moves, like when a bot starts shooting.
>>2430497Are you running the moving castle set + improved magic shield? Thats upwards of 90% damage reduction (i think) + 100% block at minimum. You should also run the CMC sets that give him CMC for blocking and then when he gets hit he can counterattack and heal his entire hp bar. Also when in doubt just have anne be a light mage heal slut with the mastery that lets her auto heal allies off turn if they drop too low.
>>2430497Also when in doubt slap draki's perfect scale on any frontliner. The free keen sense and -100% crit damage makes them way more tanky than you would think.

At least their sweepers get to shine in that map, with close suppressive fire activating every time you enter a room with one.>It sucks that we have to repeat a story mission to farm their gear.Joint drills, if you do the doubles mode then you only have to fight them 2 at a time and if you have collector's bags equipped you can keep their items if you leave early (before you have to 2v2 the destrons). Though if you're just looking to farm Ortega or Mash, doing Misty's solo mission is probably better.
What are the lore implications of the magic cube?
>>2431585whaaaa??isn't there usually a truck there?
>>2431586There's probably supposed to be a truck there. The cover around the cube is very truck shaped. I'd report these things to dandylion, but I honestly don't want dandylion to waste time on abandoned children.
>>2431615There is a truck there, and it shows up perfectly fine on my gameProbably just something wrong on your end
>>2431194Levels absolutely do matter, at least certain level breakpoints do for equipping gear and masteries.I brought up the level difference when talking about the bicrons in 39v because level affects how effective armor/resistance is at reducing damage. The higher the attacker's level, the less damage is mitigated. So level 42 bicrons being able to one-shot units that are significantly higher level than them is pretty notable. Their ultimate abilities are all multi-hit AoE that get some pretty gnarly damage modifiers, and if I remember they get overcharge state for free at half health, but even despite that machine enemies can still stack SP pretty easily.
>>2431657A lot of their massive damage output also comes from most units having low resistance. Most of your units naturally end up with heavily skewed defensive stats, like 800 armour vs 200 resistance kind of difference, unless you take steps to mitigate it with rings or masteries like Regular Exercise and Muscle Tolerance.
>>2431657right, so you can mitigate 33% of the damage from a lv 10 enemy and 0% of the damage from a lv infinite enemyan infinite level difference is about as strong as Piercing Resistance II, a 1 point mastery
>>2431825ntaI don't understand what you're trying to say. Your English is so broken.Defence/resistance and physical/elemental resistances are the same in the formula. There's no difference between 0 armour + 500 slashing resistance and 500 armour + 0 slashing resistance as far as mitigation is concerned. Those resistance masteries are very powerful, especially early.I don't have the ability to make a nice graph, but the mitigation vs level numbers look like this
>>2431890Im glad most players chose the correct way to fuck bianca

i'm getting raped on the first DLC mission, any tips to prepare for it? gear to seek out from the base game or something?
>>2432111nevermind kek i beat it, still i feel underpowered though
>>2432111>any tips to prepare for it?It's just a major difficulty spike so you should just make sure your units have decent gear and masteries before heading in.Otherwise, this is where you'll really have to start paying attention to enemy masteries and abilities, and start playing around that, if you haven't been doing that already.>gear to seek out from the base game or something? The legendary sniper and one of the legendary swords from 46v have block reduction which is very useful against the white clowns, but they aren't necessary.
>>2432111The level 46 violent case has tons of useful items and masteries in it, but it's way harder than pressing on.Otherwise, it's mostly just knowledge>White Clown Masks have high block and Shedding, but they're very slow and their damage is kind of mediocre. Leton can freeze them, or units with enough damage or guaranteed crits (Sen no Sen or Retaliation, for example) can just kill them>Black Clown Masks aren't that tanky until they get low, but they have Anger Strike and Lunatic Beast which make them very dangerous when attacked. They don't have Massiveness though, which leaves them vulnerable to knockback stuns. But yeah as the other anon said, this is the point where you start to have to pay attention to the enemies' builds. They're made with meta knowledge and set up to counter popular builds from the base game.
Forgot to mention, but you can also slot Breakthrough to make the White Clowns a bit easier. They still end up with fucktons of block when they see a lot of friendlies, but at least it makes them crittable for people like Heixing.
>>2432111Breakthrough is the best offensive mastery in the game.
>>2432111One other tip, especially once Skeleton Masks start showing up, is to stay out of their blue movement range if you know you're in danger of taking hits. Skeleton Masks and White Clown Masks' double-hit attacks aren't dashing attacks, so they'll be forced into making inaccurate basic attacks from a distance, which also screws them out of Wrestling's accuracy bonus and Close Combatant's damage bonus.NEVER allow a Skeleton Mask to attack you in Still Stance because they have One-Inch Punch which sends their damage into the stratosphere.
web grenades and web drones also screw over the clowns quite a bit

Why do the skeleton niggers hit so hard anyways? Their stupid double kick will one shot pretty much everyone regardless of how tanky they are.
>>2432361Not even the first ray lewds in the thread
>>2432377They're just specced entirely for damage. Even the non-elite variants have more attack power than Wei or Hanson.Krumping, Macho Man, With Full Heart, and some of the masteries that make up those sets all give damage bonuses or attack power. One-inch Punch doubles their damage at still stance, and I'm pretty sure that works with Overwhelm to give them a free attack with that bonus if they start adjacent to one of your units. They also have The Fight King which lets them ignore a lot of block, and they're getting a lot of value from Trained Attack to the point where their kick abilities have like 800 and 600 base damage.Martial Artist/Fighter masteries are so much better with blunt instead of ESP abilities that it makes me wish we had a proper spirit MA. Irene only has one non-ESP attack without Call of Fire, and it's her basic attack. Leton has a few blunt attacks, and they're all pretty decent, but then if you build him around that, you'll miss out on his utility to spam freeze on everything. Similar thing if you use the MA mungo, because then you won't be using some of the other very good tame options.
>>2432377They inflict 2 stacks of armourbreak with each hit, so the first kick halves your armour from equipment and the second kick removes all of it. They hurt a lot less when you have armour from masteries like Metallic Muscle Armor (Solidity + Enhanced Suit + Muscle Armor + Steel Armor) or resistance from the resistance masteries (Blunt Resistance 3 is very strong right about now)
>>2432524On one of my playthroughs I made Irene use a build that's a tweaked version of their setup and she ended up being an absolute damage monster regardless
I think martial artist would be a much more interesting class if it was focused more around knockback, stuns, speed, and mobility instead of mostly just being a melee stat monster class. As it stands, it has too similar a role to white knight, which is another melee stat monster class, and I'm sure that when people typically thing of martial artists, they're thinking of people who are quick on their feet instead of slow and tanky like most martial artists in Troubleshooter tend to be. Other TRPGs like Disgaea also have their fist-users take more of a utility role with knockbacks instead of just raw damage. The class does have a couple of sets that are about knockback and stuns so they're kinda going for that, it's just those sets get overshadowed by the ones that give absurd damage bonuses. And even though Troubleshooter isn't realistic per se, I don't think it makes much sense that people who punch and kick things are doing more damage than the people who are using swords and hammers, even if they have brass knuckles.
>>2432590Martial Artists in this game are more about poise. They do massive damage, but it's conditional on either being in still stance or counterattacks.Swordsmen do a lot more of their damage unconditionally, and they have guaranteed crits on Forestallment that makes them difficult to approach for Martial Artists.White Knights shut down both classes with Neutralize Counters and outrank basic Swordsmen with Expected Risk screwing them out of Sen no Sen. They're the two-handed STR variant of Great Swordsman's DEX and break enemies' items with their powerful weapons.

>>2433002I beat the entire base game without doing the quests too lol. All you miss out on is a unique violent case with lots of animals to tame and a couple unique masteries with one really good one.
>>2433003do i have to do all of the quests i missed to get those?
>>2433002Mostly just some equipment which will be very underleveled at this point. But you can also get crafting recipes for equipment sets that can't be obtained anywhere else, some of them worth using. If you do the quests now, you actually get extra dialogue that wouldn't be there if you didn't have all the party members. So while it can be annoying to go back and replay a lot of earlier missions to do the quests, you'll also get to see some unique dialogue most people haven't seen.A tip for doing quests, take all of them from every NPC you can and try to get multiple quests done in a single mission to minimize how much you have to replay levels.>>2433003Same lol>>2433004Yes, at least all the base game quests. DLC1 adds a single quest, just to introduce joint drills. I think you also have to clear one of the regular side cases along with doing all those quests too.

Found a couple of fun builds on AsiaThis guy's got a really scary-looking Irene. Her numbers aren't that big, but she's got Lord of Hatred for 1% fire damage per % missing HP and Judgment for 40% of her missing HP as base damage. She relies on Lone Wolf to fix her terrible accuracy, but that would probably be easy for him to keep active considering she's got Pyromaniac, One Shot One Kill and Flames of Vengeance for le ebin chainkill build
The same guy also has this Leton, which I think is the first Leton I've ever seen running Overpower. He's got Unpredictable + Listening Energy + The Light of Martial Art's 3-piece bonus for a total of 85% flat block shred from his Forestallment, so he probably murders quite a lot of enemies outright.
Also he runs Skilled Military Strategist on his Giselle, which officially means he has god-tier taste
>>2433055That's a terrifying, horrifying and gruesome fursona. Sion must be a FREAKING psycho.
Huh, I think theoretically you could walk along the edges of map above the ceiling in 54v if you somehow got up there, since the combat preview shows it's possible to stand thereMaybe a yasha could do it
>>2433385I'm interested. Time to go exploring.
Too high for a Yasha, I think it's genuinely unreachable
A dorori might be able to get to it. I don't have a levelled one right now, but Fly Away has a really long range and Lava Dororis can get +1 range on their dive. The tile below it is 1.07 tiles up and the tile in question is at 10, so you'd need a 9-range dash or higher. Pretty sure Dororis can get to 13.
>>2433475 (me)A levelled lava Dorori with Spreading Fire is 10 range. Probably the safest bet, because 9 range might get screwed by some obscure diagonal calculation, or you might need to attack it from a tile away due to line of sight angle.
>>2433448>>2433475>10.7 tilesLightning Move is 12, so that's enough :)

>>2433496Would be nice if you could snipe from there.
how do i know if somethings tameable without getting myself in taming range? can i tame this nigga?
>>2433677You can tame all beasts of Epic rank and below. If you have 'Monster Taming', you can also tame Legendary rank beasts. However, Silver (which your Giselle cannot encounter anyway), Drakis, and Mungo King are exceptions.
>>2433677Other anon answered your question, but most Epic-ranked beasts are fully evolved versions of the smaller beasts and each stage unlocks different masteries, so it's usually more useful to catch and level the lower versions.Like in this case it goes Small Jade Crabmit -> Jade Crabmit -> Huge Jade Crabmit. Also, weakening enemies before taming makes things a lot easier. There's some adjustment based on level difference, but the default time it takes to tame something is 10% of their current HP, so trying to tame something with 3000 HP is going to take several hundred AT.
>>2433680>>2433685thanks anons, very helpful info

is there any resource to look at finalized builds?
>>2433704to be more specific can someone share a good Sweeper build? i'm 3 or 4 missions into DLC1
>>2433687old guy on the left reminds me of Kylie's mentor
>>2433705I'm a huge sweeperfag and I used this for pretty much the entire game from about where you are, just adding masteries as I got points for them. The way to make best use of it is to use Sweeping Fire in Still Stance to try to kill multiple enemies at once, because that'll reset the cooldown completely. One Shot One Kill will activate if any of them dies at full HP, and Re-Mopup will activate if any of them survives.
This is the level 60 version so you can see how little I changed it
>>2433705I'm not gonna call myself good, and this build is far from optimal. But here's an alternative build. I just focused on getting a bunch of unconditional damage so I don't have to bother with still stance. I will note, equip the thing that gives you vigor on crit this build really needs it.
>>2433705Use You're Already Dead and I Know It All Already. You can then use Overwatch to get into a good Still Stance position, he'll get his turn back off of getting a kill with it. Then when you get your second turn off of Re Mop-Up you use Overwatch again. He'll likely get a kill off of it and then get another turn to Sweeping Fire and Overwatch. Mostly it just needs Vigor to be solved which either takes later available Spirit masteries or that Vigor on crit accessory another anon mentioned is good too.
>>2433782The vigor issues are why my one used Tension and Tough Spirit until I made that accessory. Combined they give +6 vigor recovery, and Overcharge's +1 overcharge duration lets you save an absolute fuckload of vigor when you're sitting in it spamming expensive moves several times per turn.
>>2433788Yeah, the options are fairly limited without going over to a full Spirit board. Anyway, something like this is what I had in mind here: >>2433782 This is pretty close to what I was running before I put together a Spirit board and I enjoyed it a lot spamming Overwatch.

stupid question but is backspace the same thing as using standby?
>>2433918Nope. Backspace is a full AT skip turn. Importantly it doesn't count as using an action point, while Standby does.
>>2433930how is the action point relevant if you use your turn anyway?
>>2433931Giganigga monke AKA Mungo King will take a turn if you spend one action point.
can i abandon mission as soon as i fill the quest objective?
>>2433944i arrested Javert and want to gtfo but don't want to have to do this again
>>2433944I wouldn't risk it for any of the item-based quests because of how loot is handled on failures, but it should be okay for civilian rescues, retrieve cargo and that kind of thing. Violent cases all let you leave early after a boss kill anyway.
>>2433931Some masteries (for witch and sweeper) depend on you specifically ending your turn in standby, I think using backspace also activates Quick Grasp of the Situation for enemies
>>2434188Quick Grasp of the Situation always activates if enemies see you end your turn. The exception is for the yellow/red/purple pre-combat states.
>>2434191I see, I misunderstood the descriptionI don't actually ever recall seeing it activate on an enemy when I used Stand By, but I play with animation speed turned way up so I don't always get to see the mastery pop ups before the camera jerks away :PAnyways it just hit me that Mungo King's annoying free turns are supposed to be QGotS on steroids. Nearly every other mungo has it and it fits well with their whole vision gimmick

Gigachad spotted running a PVP party without Alisa. Also has a pretty cool Irene build.Other notable builds in his party are a Sen no Sen Overpower Albus with a Weight equipped, and his Misty is an Awaken build with Fade Into The Mist and Vicious Robber, I presume for item farming purposes.
Here's the Misty. I didn't notice her pitiful HP total until I started the match - Only 1007, with Impulse Fields to try to not die instantly. She doesn't have Giant Killer, which I think is a bit of a wasted opportunity
Her Attack masteries
>>2434648I don't see what's so notable about not using Alisa in joint drills, I do it pretty often. Barbarian loses a lot of its efficacy against only a few very strong enemies, and while White Knight is pretty good, it's not essential.>Battle Mage of Steelpatrician>Call of FirewtfMartial Artist would be better for a ESP to physical conversion, maybe he's just using BM for the vigor restoration but Irene has that ability that restores all vigor.
>>2434680It's notable because almost everyone runs Alisa>IreneHe's using Call of Fire so he can abuse Hellfire to shred buffs and restore HP with his counterattacks. It was actually pretty annoying.
I just realised Natural Recovery (restore 15% HP at the start of your turn if below 50% HP) is intended to push Anne above Impulse Fields' threshold whenever she takes her turn. With the set that doubles its recovery she could be very, very annoying.
Anyone got a good lvl45 DLC1 build for Leton? Started it recently and I'm not really sure what to do with him.
>>2434710pick martial artist and build him like a generic berserker.
>>2434722So the performance gimmick on superstar isn't worth it? Shame.
>>2434726superstar is a meme class so your stuck playing him as a generic martial artist or berserker
>>2434710full freeze with bonus ice grenades or full superstar cancer, MA is the real meme class
I don't know who to trust now.
>>2434726Performances are good, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. But it needs a lot of experimentation until you get used to how it works, and the achievement masteries to enable its really broken stuff.Anyway yeah, ice grenades work with Absolute Zero. I ran this for a while on one of my playthroughs. You chuck a grenade and follow up with ice spears. It works with MA as well, but not as effectively - I was abusing Delicate Move for cooldown management and Encore Performance + Improvisational Wrap Up for action point recovery. MA can use Delicate Move as well but it can't Finale on demand, and being able to Finale at all requires a bunch more masteries that Superstar doesn't need to have equipped.
>>2434739Trust the fact that in the thread's PVP tournament featuring people who minmax the fuck out of the game, literally everyone ran Superstar
>>2434710I agree with the other anons that superstar is better. Although I just run martial artist because I don't want to think about performances. The entire goal of this build is to get a ton of defence and then get a bunch of at increases on attack. Defensive choice and Gatekeeper are very necessary for +6% block per enemy in sight. The advantage of this type of build is that it's low maintanance
>>2434710It's a little annoying to get Ice Castle but this is a good start for aura slaving.
>>2434750wtf, are there records of this? who won? who lost? I need to know!

i really regret not doing quests as i did the missions, seems like there's a fuckton to catch up on
>>2434710I use him as a freeze bot, either class will do. Superstar can let him freeze multiple things in a turn and give him really quick turns while Martial Artist is a lot tankier and can still do a lot of damage for when freeze isn't effective.Freeze is extremely useful in DLC1 since there's a lot of high-block enemies and they're all melee so anything that immobilizes counters them hard. Pic rel was what I was using for DLC1 before I switched him to MA.When you unlock joint drills, you should do a round or two against the Street Thugs and Contractor factions because Oliver and Cheche drop unique superstar masteries there.>>2434739There's like one or two posters in these threads who have a hateboner for superstar and they have to assert how terrible the class whenever someone mentions it. The class requires you to read up on how performance effects and combos work and you have to plan your moves in advance, but if you can do that it's an extremely strong class with lots of AP and cooldown refreshes with the ability to give -40AT to allies and +40 AT to enemies in a huge range.
>>2434684An actual gigachad would have a team with no Giselle/Irene/Anne on it. Those are the real metaslave picks, teams that don't have Alisa are fairly common.
>>2435112I've ran Anneless teams in the past. If your units have good sustain she's not that necessary, and it lets you slot in someone who does good damage.Similar with Irene. She's a good unit, but if you're running Battlemage Sion and any Leton she ends up feeling the most redundant. I ditch her about a third of the time in my current team.I don't think I've literally ever seen a team with no Giselle, though. It means giving up beasts on top of her range. I guess Kylie with some kickass drones would be an adequate replacement, but anyone not using Giselle would either be a snowflake or trolling.
>>2435141I'd dare to say that Kylie, even without counting the drones, is pretty meta, she hit's like a truck, can give FREE turns and and the holograms stupidly strong, all while carrying utility (detection, casual hacking, etc). Add the drones and she's one of the best characters in the game.
>>2435141>anyone not using Giselle would either be a snowflake or trollingTrue, same for Kylie. On top of her ability to teleport and accelerate the turn order as desired, her drones can be nearly unkillable, grant huge extra sight and Reveal/Detected in case the enemy runs Misty, and serve as replacements for Second Heart for your entire party. You just need to make sure to feed them.
tips for 52 Gold Hand River Park? i'm getting gutted like a salmon
>>2435438That was where I hit a brick wall on my first playthrough, too.-Hunter Giselle is probably flat out better than sniper there, as her traps and beast summon work well for that situation where she's surrounded.-Sweeper vs. ranger Heixing is probably the same, depending on where he and Kylie are, he might not have access to good cover to make use of ranger masteries, while sweeper might be able to clear out one of the groups.-Web grenades and Anne's roots are useful for keeping the clowns off your ass and reducing their block.-If one of the duos can clear a group of clowns on their own, have them fight their way towards a duo that can't so they can reinforce.-Don't run your units near Sanson.-Counter builds work well here, if you have melee units that can tank the clowns' hits.-Maybe go back and get some equipment and change your builds up if you still can't kill the clowns before they get to all your units.-If you really need to cheese this mission, stick Awaken onto your units with good AoE ults (Sion, Anne, Leton, Bianca) and have them nuke the clowns while they're grouped up.
>>2435438>>2435441i actually scraped by on the same run i thought was doomed that made me post that, lmao. fun mission. i did it on normal though
>>2435438Mostly that map's a build check so my advice is just general anti-melee tips>use walls/tables/obstacles to minimise facings>your pairings' spawns are mostly random, except Sion/Anne/Albus always spawn in the same place>prioritise killing skeleton masks whenever possible>>2435441These are all good tips too. For more specific build recommendation, putting Sen no Sen + Overpower on WK Alisa or any Albus can do a massive amount of work on that map. There aren't many black clowns to fuck them up, so if you get enough damage you can kill half the map with 1 dude.
>>2435441>>2435447thanks for the rundowns, i'm going to do it again on hard before i go forward. i almost had it on my first attempt on hard but my next few tries i was getting destroyed instantly
>>2435446>fun mission.Yeah, it was one of my most replayed maps before Crimson Crow came out. It's an excellent build check and there are a bunch of good drops from it.I don't replay it as much after Crimson Crow because even with Challenge Mode the clowns get out-tiered.
>>2435448Bianca and Alisa will appreciate the EXP
>>2435441>-If you really need to cheese this mission, stick Awaken onto your units with good AoE ults (Sion, Anne, Leton, Bianca) and have them nuke the clowns while they're grouped up.It relies on spawning near a couple of benches, but I've cheesed the map with a Negoori in the past by using Gray Sniper (The Grey Eyes + Tongue Whip + Forestallment + Counterattack) combined with Overtpower (Forestallment + Final Blow + Alacrity + Concentration), Unpredictable (Forestallment + Counterattack + Overwhelm + Punishment) and elemental masteries for +100% damage to [ailment] targets.Just make sure you don't forget to put Veteran and some way of recovering HP on the frog or it will die in an unspectacular fashion, because black clown masks will still get attacks off on it.
