COH thread since the last one died. How bad is Relic gonna fuck up this re-release. I expect the elitists to complain about adding the reverse command and how it somehow fucks up pathing. As well as auto reinforce dumbing the game down. Harder AI might make the campaign more fun.

It was only a matter of time after Dawn of War's Definitive Edition release so hooray I guess?

I do appreciate the addition of vehicle reversing and auto-reinforcing though. Kinda wish they'd added TrueSight and vaulting obstacles as well since having your infantry unable to clear a measly fence and have to walk all the way around was always incredibly annoying and having the environment play a key role in how much you could see was a pretty nice way of making tactics matter.
>>
I love CoH but I don't see the point in a remaster that adds no content
>>
>>2424300
It's going to be less annoying to play and multiplayer will be alive again for a while. And hopefully they'll actually ban cheaters.
>>
Kinda wanna see the "coh1 was the best at everything" crowd tackle a Brit simcity
>>
how does the US play in coh1? i played coh2 and love their style in it, and didnt like how coh3 US plays and i hear coh1 US is close to coh3.
>>

>>
>>2424312
CoH1 US is basically CoH3 US but with less options
>>
>>2424024
What do you mean they are adding auto reinforce? Do CoH3 fags not have to reinforce their models or something? Reverse is better but auto reinforce is stupid.
>>
>>2424356
Auto-reinforce means that when your squad is in the vicinity of a reinforcement point it reinforces them without the player having to manually click the reinforce button however many times you need to bring said squad back to full strength. You can disable this in COH3 and go back to manually reinforcing if you wish but it's nice to have the option regardless.
>>
>>2424300
Replaying the Bong campaign with no bugs is still balls to the wall.

The OG campaign is also kino.
>>
Relic is desperate. They were just selling CoH1 on sale with all their games. I'm sure they will delist that soon as this drops. CoH1 runs fine. People still are playing games too. I was watching the trailer and it doesn't look much better. The same choppy cutscenes. The campaign gets boring, you will want to play skirmish right away or get into multiplayer.
>>
>>2424024
>As well as auto reinforce dumbing the game down
Dumbing down how? Sounds like a nice feature, actually.
>>
>I can't believe they casualties the game through auto reinforce!
>*Plays skirmish and campaign only*
>>
>>2424392
huh?
>>
>>2424372
It's the same deal as DOW's Definitive Edition, visuals look slightly more polished but more important is whether they are gonna fix bugs in the original game like the one in the base game with V1 rocket strikes where even destroying the radio tower wouldn't stop the AI from calling it in on your ass. Or how absurdly OP Panzer Grenadiers were to the extent that you could wipe out entire armies with a big blob of PGs.
>>
>>2424024
I wonder how Relic is gonna fuck up the balance this time. With DOW I remember them massively nerfing Space Marines early on and making the Imperial Guard ridiculously overpowered (plus nerfing Necrons which is still the case) to address complaints with the original so I fully expect them to nerf the fuck outta Panzer Elite and the British here while giving Wehrmacht and the Americans absolutely ridiculous buffs.
>>
>>2424465
CoH1 does not need game balance rot from CoH3. You Starcraft fags need to stop "balancing" every game. Learn to play and stop being bad. Accept the fact that some factions are less than others in games.

This is because CoH3 is a wet fart, they got bought and then rebought themselves and they lost DoW a long time ago. The studio probably needs a cash injection if they want to live much longer.

Still say they should put CoH3 into end of life care and shift CoH to the Cold War before people fully burn out on Eugen games.

I really am not sure who is in charge at relic, someone who just enjoys burning money I guess because it took me all of 40 seconds to go on google and open 3 tabs, each one showing the player count of all three games. Instantly you can see that out of the three installments that COH 2 just blows the other 2 out of the water in the "All Time Peak" category. Even to this day, COH 2 still has a similar active player count to the *New* COH 3.

COH 2 takes everything good about COH 1 and improves or builds on it. The game just feels like whoever made it took their time and made sure to pour their heart into the project. The sounds of destruction and artillery barrages sounds realistic and terrifying.

Then we arrive at COH 3 which takes everything from COH 1 and COH 2 and just throws it in the garbage. We went from playing a RTS WW II simulator to playing a WW II arcade game....The voice actors and their writing is bland and repetitive, all the sounds ranging from machine guns to tanks sound fake and almost cartoonish. The Infantry units are like storm troopers with how they aim, its like watching paint dry with how long it takes for stuff to die.

I guess my point is or concern, is that they will just take what they did with COH 3 and apply it to this remake of COH 1. Although there is some hope, being that the game is only meant for PC and not cross-platform...THANK GOD! And that I don't understand what the developers have against COH 2!

Same thing with CoH3. Shit at launch, really good now minus, like, monetisation and balance depending on who you ask, but those stuck on CoH1 and CoH2 will never admit that.

All 3 CoHs are basically the same in the grand scheme of RTS games, I wish more people saw that instead of endlessly campaigning for the supremacy of whichever game they played first.

They are not the same though. CoH1 and 2 are similar while 3 is an outlier and no longer as much of a tactical RTS

That said I'm still baffled at how in 2026 coh3 autoreinforce is still buggy and ahit
We had auto reinforce that doesnt queue up a huge manpower drain in dawn of war (right-click) and in coh3 it just mass spams orders to kill all your immediate MP
OR it straight up doesn't work
What's up with that
>>
>>2426520
>Shit at launch, really good now

It isn't. It has the potential to if Relic commits to fixing its multitude of problems with bugs, optimization, audio, VFX and even basic stuff like snipers not targeting gunners for some bizarre reason thus making them completely useless in breaking suppression traps but it's not right now.

And the reason that COH2 and COH3 end up being shat on is because Relic seems incapable to retaining the good things they did in previous games and transferring them to the new ones. So you end up with them introducing some nice new features but completely removing or messing up ones that were there previously.

hory sheit I think Relic might actually be doing something worthwhile with the game for once instead of just endless paid dlcs

here's hoping they introduce weather effects like blizzard and sandstorm and being able to deform terrain like in coh1

>cover is slightly more effective now instead of being destroyed too easily
>suppression now has a bigger impact and recovery from it takes slightly longer than usual
>dak now has an optional upgrade which allows one of their base buildings to heal infantry
>battlegroup selection is now easier and in vs. ai matches you can now make it so that the ai only has one battlegroup to pick from instead of 3
>two new maps and some of the older maps got an overhaul

Also Final Stand is overly expensive garbage that has awful reviews and almost everyone recommending against buying it. I wouldn't be surprised if Relic gives up after several months and just ends up folding it into the base game as it should have been all along.
>>
Relic should have given me a key for final stand

Are there any mods for coh3 like blitzkrieg
>>
>>2459556
If Final Stand was a free game mode, it'd be alright. Not amazing, but it'd at least be a way to breath some life into the game to compensate for the fact they did fuck all to support modding.

Instead they're charging 30 bucks for what is obviously just leaning on roguelite bullshit to compensate for having nothing new inside. Just play the Horde Defense mod on CoH2 because it actually puts in more effort to bringing new stuff to the table and can be played with more than one other person, even if it sucks that you can only play Germans.

I still say the Elbe Day update was the best CoH2 was. Beta was kind of poor for balance but all the incremental updates the game went through put it in a really good place at that time, but four months late the WFA came out and fucked everything up again.

Balancing for straight Ostheer vs Soviets was the best way to handle it, Relic fucked up when they released USF and OKW and then had to go back and update the first two armies to remain competitive against them, and I say that as someone who loved USF's design of vehicle crews and weapon racks. I would've rather had Soviets vs Ostheer sectioned off from USF/UKF and OKW just to not fuck with a good thing.

>>
>>2459725
Blizzards were neat, but they really didn't help competitive play at all. Blizzards would hit and all infantry would just stop moving and huddle around bonfires, or someone would go heavy into mech and just have a ton of halftracks and scout cars carry everyone around. There never was really a time when people were using them strategically to set up ambushes or build fortifications or lay mines, it always just turned into 60 seconds of waiting or SMG/assault rifle+transport spam. Could've been a lot better with certain units immune to the cold or just debuffed by it instead of killed.
>>
>>2462157
I still remember my first coh1 game when I was a wee lad.
>queue 2v2 because 1v1 is scary
>"hey are you new" teammate asks
>"yes"
>immediately all-chats: "great, a fucking noob. A fucking noob in my fucking team"
>pings every capture point on my side of the map while I'm actively capturing them
>loses two units on his side
>leaves game

It's one of the great traps in any PvP team modes: any player who is low enough to meet new players either sucks ass, is a whiny loser that tilts at everything, or both. Although that was back in the day, in your case it's partly your fault for trying to get into a game with a fossilized playerbase.

Unironically, if you want to get into a multiplayer CoH you should play CoH3. People who only ever play campaign or skirmishes bitch and moan about old games being better but right now CoH3 is the most playable of the three, both because of the various QoL things that are sorely lacking from old CoHs and because it has the biggest and most active multiplayer playerbase at the moment.
Don't get me wrong you'll still find plenty of whiny losers in your team but at least you'll be matched with other noobs most of the time.

I started CoH1 just before the release of CoH2, so at least when the beta for 2 released, I was in better order. Felt like 2 really favored highly mobile attacks too, things like MGs felt more deadly but there was so many ways to flank them at high speed and the maps were more open that the fighting never really seemed to bottleneck into a meatgrinder.

By the time WFA released, I was rank 15 on the Soviet leaderboard and rank 37 on the Ostheer side, then got rank 11 as USF before I dropped out due to too much sweat. I had 39 wins and 1 loss getting matched against Helping Hans at the very end.
>>
>>2462523
You only played 40 games?
>>
>>2462622
As America, yeah. I had about 500 or so as Soviets and around 220 as Ostheer. I played for the first couple of months of WFA, was initially enamored at the faction design, then got burned out trying to maintain my 1v1 record. Despite having a far worse record in 2v2, I found team games more enjoyable.

I had a buddy I'd play CoH2 with who always wanted to play Soviets, but we worked really well together. I usually ran a T-34/85 doctrine and did a lot of really mobile assaults with half tracks while he'd lock down the territory I'd take with AT guns and HMGs and keep it from being retaken after my assaults would need to fall back. In all my games, I never got the hang of using AT guns because fast medium tanks and Pumas were all I needed until the call in changes.

COH is consistently dogshit at multi-faction balancing. Comp games should be based on strict 1v1 faction matchups - Wehr vs Sov, OKW vs US, etc., and the game should be balanced for those matchups. Obviously casual games you can do fucking whatever, who cares.
>>
>>2464270
COH2 is a Wehraboo fucking game and I hate it. The US in 2 is a 1943 army technologically sans the Jackson. It gets none of its fun war-end toys despite having more of them than the Germans, yet the OKW gets tons of wacky shit that barely existed. Even on top of that, the balancing is Wehr anyway - the ancient fucking PzIV somehow bounces shots from Shermans even though irl it could do no such thing, AT guns are literally useless unless you pop HVAP rounds on every single enemy tank, and it's not possible for your infantry to ever gain an advantage so long as your opponent is also vetting up because the OKW literally gets "Fuck you I still get to win" superinfantry in T4 to maintain a permanent quality advantage for the entire game. Literally the only good US units are the Jacksons and some commander call-ins, most of which you have to pay for.
>>
>>2464694
Did you not use any US commanders in COH2 or something? They have tons of fun late-game toys, even more than the OKW.
>>
>>2464697
I didn't say late game, I said late war. And no they don't. It's literally just the Pershing. No recoilless rifles. No M2 Carbines. No night vision. No napalm. No Chaffee. Just the Jackson. And the Easy 8 and Pershing, but you have to pay for those.
>>
>>2464699
>No recoilless rifles.
Which always sucked in COH1 and were far inferior to just having bazookas.
>No M2 Carbines.
None of the COH games have M2 carbines. In fact they are redundant when you already have M1 carbines.
>No night vision.
Which was a post-war development for the US. The only really functional night vision in WW2 was by the Germans.
>No napalm.
They do have napalm strikes as a commander.
>No Chaffee.
Yeah because you already have the Stuart.
>Just the Jackson. And the Easy 8 and Pershing, but you have to pay for those.
And the Calliope. So you concede that the US does in fact have late-war toys to play with but will insist on complaining anyway because you suck at the game. Gotcha.
>>

>In fact they are redundant when you already have M1 carbines.

>Which was a post-war development for the US.
Wrong.
>They do have napalm strikes as a commander.
No they don't
>Yeah because you already have the Stuart.
The Stuart was out of date by the time the US entered the war, there is no reason to have in the game except that if the US light tank was the Chaffee then the stock Sherman would need a 76 to be relevant and they don't want to do that because the game is made by Wehraboos who insist US tanks have to be dogshit at all costs.

A lot of people always said the Germans were better than the other factions, but I never really thought so. They had a lot of shit that was better in a lot of ways, but I always felt like the Soviet shit had a reason and purpose too.

It's like the ZiS field gun is mostly inferior to the Pak-40, with lower penetration and lesser rate of fire, you know, all the stuff you'd want in an AT gun. But the ZiS did set up faster, had six men so it survived better, and had a wider arc of fire at that point in time (The Pak had a very narrow arc, it was like a 30 degree cone or something). The Pak punches holes in every Soviet tank, but T-34s came out a little quicker than the German ones and if the Pak wasn't properly spotted for, they just rolled around them in a circle and killed them anyway. Meanwhile the ZiS had a wide enough arc that it could react to tanks coming in at the wrong angle even if you didn't have good vision.

The scout car was like a direct counter to the M3 with its autocannon, but the M3's ability to keep a squad of infantry in it let you drive guys straight up to HMGs and mortars without any concern, kill them, and run off with them back to your base. The German mortar fired faster and more accurately than the Soviet one, but the Soviets were so mobile it almost never mattered. The Maxim MG had a tiny, narrow arc of fire compared to the MG42's almost 180 degree one, but the gun set up so quick you could just use it as regular infantry.

I think a lot of the German kit comes down to hitting critical mass where all of their stuff can support each other. They want HMGs covering fields of fire for Grenadiers with LMG42s for massive damage at range, mortars shelling a stable front line, Paks covering approaches to deter tanks, and a long range slugging match between the Panzer IV and T-34. But the Soviets just pour over them and never let them get to that point, fighting a highly mobile battle where the Ostheer never can group up for it.
>>
>>2464699
My only complaint about the base USF commanders is that the M10 got nerfed. Requiring a major to build it means it competes too hard against the Jackson for a role it doesn't do great at, especially since they nerfed the rate of fire for it. It's in every way an inferior Jackson except for cost, but being 60 fuel cheaper than the Jackson doesn't make it competitive against the Sherman that's only 30 fuel more expensive than it. And unlike the Sherman, you can't use it against infantry, not even with a pintle mount machine gun.

The M10 should've stayed a high RoF tank destroyer with the standard 40 range that relied on numbers to beat out other tanks, not the pseudo-sniper that sits between the Jackson and the Sherman in range and only does a Sherman's damage and pen (Without its ability).
>>
>>2464727
The fact you had to ignore OKW vs US to make that argument only reinforces mine. The OKW is Naziwank bullshit while the Americans aren't allowed to use almost anything that isn't at least a year out of date.

Matters a whole lot, friend. A3s firing their M61 have 70mm at 500m. Pz4 unangled has 80mm on front plate and significantly more on the turret cuz mantlet. E8 not penning is bullshit but regular short A3 bouncing is reasonable.
>>
>>2464708
>.....I don't even know how to respond to something that retarded. I can't even fathom how you could argue being able to fire full auto doesn't matter.
Oh wow it's a select-fire version of your standard semi-automatic carbine. Not like the US already has 3 other guns for their infantry units that fulfill the same role you braindead goomba.
>Wrong.
Wrong yourself. A prototype was briefly tested in the Pacific (so not even Europe) and then put away for further refining.
>No they don't
Yes they do. There's an airstrike ability that literally drops incendiary munitions.

>>
>>2464751
I'm only going off of the base game era because I think it had good balance. WFA has its own problems, but even those I don't think are egregious. However, I will say that USF is just Soviet gameplay taken to the extreme (Have to win early or you won't win at all) and all the patches since release have reined in that part but the USF still has a very lackluster late game.

Really doesn't help that USF's kit feels so empty compared to the Soviets. No snipers, no transport, literally only one doctrine had elite infantry on release in the form of paratroopers with rangers not coming until far later, and those elite infantry doctrine are rare. Lack of long range firepower in the form of LMGs, with the LMG upgrade being doctrinal and nerfed to be one LMG per squad anyway.

Riflemen DPS nerfs where now they cost more than every other base infantry but do less damage except at point blank range. They might as well have been made into SMG infantry since they don't fill the role of line infantry but don't do enough damage up close to make them feel worth it. The BAR upgrade has been nerfed to weakness; Panzer Grenadiers' entire squad gets assault rifles for instance for zero munitions cost and each rifle does more DPS than the BAR at all ranges but the 25-30 mark. The officer call ins largely feel useless, essentially being a riflemen squad with a single tommy gun in them.

In the past, your armor would come out early and let you keep tempo with the Germans by forcing them to deal with an early Sherman, but now you have heavy tech requirements to get to Major and the Major costs 120 fuel. And Sherman rate of fire is now the same as every other medium tank, so it's just an inferior unit.

I get the feeling Relic wanted to try and drag the factions into parity with very clear early, mid, and late game play and get away from a rush meta, but then they added almost no tools to the USF to support that. They just nerfed the tools to keep tempo.
>>
>>2464767
E8's will basically always pen now, they had a complete role change from a fast moving, rapid firing tank to what's essentially a Jackson with bigger HE splash for killing infantry too. They get that ability at vet 1 that gives them an extra +20% pen (So it's 240-185 pen based on range, more on vetting up, almost enough to guarantee the Panther gets penned each shot) and an extra 10 range to give them 50 total. It's such a weird change from a brawler to fire support because none of the E8's design takes advantage of the high speed it used to get.
>>
>>2464873
I honestly haven't touched 2 in ages but that does sound weird. So, what's M36 used for now then? Tiger Bs?
>>
>>2464871
I think what the USF needs to function like Relic maybe intends/intended:
>M1919 LMG moved to baseline, still able to equip two.
>BAR, M1919, and Bazooka weapon racks unlock on getting leiu/captain or one of those plus their building tech, bringing them on par with every other faction who can upgrade their weapons in the same way.
>Slightly stronger vet bonuses for riflemen than what they have; should approach late game high cost infantry like pgrens, obersoldaten, etc since the USF's strongest baseline infantry are rifles.
>M5 halftrack baseline in place of the M15 AA halftrack. Why make a riflemen focused army with no way to reinforce them in the field or move them around? Leave quad 50 cal as its AA upgrade.
>Ambulance removed, replaced with a generic medic aura upgrade at the base.
>The USF has three anti-infantry artillery units in their base doctrine: Mortars, pack Howitzer, and the M8 Scott. On top of that, a lot of doctrines have the mortar halftrack. Why? Replace either the pack Howitzer or the scott with something more useful, both are good units but redundant.
>Mark target on the Major at vet 1, gives vision increased chance to pen a tank for 30 seconds for 45 munitions. Shermans can keep their weaker stats since this brings them up on par with other tanks in a typical combined arms engagement but punishes them for acting independent of the rest of the army.

>>2464894
Pretty much heavy tanks, maybe sniping mediums if the German player likes to go in close a lot with his P4s. On paper, it's got great stats on its gun, 60 range, higher accuracy than pretty much any other tank, and very high penetration that can climb even higher with its active ability. In practice, it's got a slow rate of fire and a fragile hull, plus fighting at max range means other tanks that don't overextend just pull back a little and are fine. It's not enough of a threat on its own to push enemies back, but it's too specialized to build more than one.
>>
>>2464896
Oh, and for officer call ins, the squad should be functionally identical to base riflemen but with infantry aura bonuses as they gain vet. Captain gives defensive increases (less received accuracy at Vet 1, 10% less damage taken at Vet 3 to all nearby infantry), Lieutenant gets offensive ones (increased accuracy at vet 3). Major retains his support abilities with no auras. Currently the officers just feel inferior to regular riflemen except they do slightly more close range damage because of the Thompson.

All of those changes together give you strong riflemen that equal things like Obersoldaten, but only if you keep them alive to gain veterancy and support them with officers. Right now, there's too much reliance on paratroopers and rangers to win the infantry war which weakens other doctrines too much.
>>
>>2464896
>meme unit that counters meme units
>e8 is a notpanther now
Gotcha. I can see why you were advocating for pershings among other things earlier then, if that was you of course.
>>
>>2464899
Nah, that wasn't me. I liked the USF on release because I never used heavy tanks, I spammed M4C Shermans with lend-lease or used a pair of P4s depending on who I was playing. I always favored rate of fire over other stats because.

The release M4A3 Sherman was really good, even if it was weaker than the M4C. It shot 20% faster than the T-34 and P4 right out of the gate, gained Radio Net as a Vet 1 bonus which give it another +10% ROF per vehicle around, and then gained another like +25% ROF bonus at Vet 3, which it usually got quickly because it dealt so much damage. The best way to use them was to scout the enemy tank just as it came out and roll a pair of them over to it as quick as possible to either kill it before it had any effect or at least trade a Sherman for it so you could keep ahead. Poor penetration didn't matter since you just shot so frequently that shells were going to get through at some point, usually long before the enemy had reduced your HP.

Pershings, IS-2s, Tigers, etc are just liabilities in my opinion. They're too expensive to be aggressive with and that limits their effectiveness. If you try to use them to spearhead an assault, it'll invariably run over a mine or get ambushed by AT guns that stun it and then get swarmed, but if you hang back at max range and use it as fire support, a pair of Stugs or SU-76s will do you just as well. But if you have two or three medium tanks, you can swarm in for kills and not care if you lose one or two because you still have a tank and you've secured such a strong advantage that you have plenty of time to grab another tank and dig in at the new ground you've taken, if not outright kill the enemy base.

That last strategy is what's been nerfed for USF, a faction that already sucked at standoff battles between combined arms. People complained before that it didn't work like Ost/Sov and lacked heavy armor, but then the USF lost its strongpoints and now is still deficient.
>>
>>2464906
I can see heavy and superheavy tanks having a role as stalemate breakers. If you have them and the opponent doesn't have good TD tech you roll him, if he does and can use it he rolls you and you likely invested so much that you can't recover. Stalemate broken anyway.
That's the theory anyway. In practice, yeah, in my experience they're usually a win harder in all 3 games.
>>
>>2464920
Things like the Priest and other long range artillery do better in that regard. All of those completely murder static positions and make it untenable to actually put defensive lines down. Mortars help push against static lines, but anyone can build a mortar and return fire; heavy arty is doctrinal only and completely safe in the base on a static front. It's why the Infantry doctrine for the USF is a misnomer, it's technically a defensive one but with so much artillery it makes it impossible for the other side to dig in.

Despite my earlier complaints about them, I do feel like the best way to use heavy tanks is as a fire support platform. All of them have good AoE and can survive under long range AT fire and chew up both infantry and tanks, they're just expensive for what they do in my opinion. They do get even more deadly at Vet 3 though, if the game goes that long.

Fun fact about the Pershing, it shoots a little slower than the Tiger but has more AP and a bigger AOE radius against infantry, along with less scattering of its shot. This makes it comparatively better at max range, especially when you take into account its lower max HP. Only the King Tiger is more effective than it, and it still has less penetration. It's also really fast for heavy tank, moving almost as fast as a Sherman.

I was thinking more along the lines of a timing push to break his back but yeah, sure. You can do that with artillery and medium tanks too and much earlier.
>>
>>2464931
Why would I spend any money on commanders? The Soviets already have the best unlocked from the start, every purchased one is a meme commander anyway. Just get something with Guards Rifle and you're good. Ostheer is pretty much the same as well.

The only time I remember a particularly egregious problem with it was WFA's release, Rifle Company's E8s were so insanely good they might as well have been pay to win. Didn't matter to me anyway since I got the Rifle Company for free as a random drop like 10 games into it, I abused the fuck out of people for a while with it.

No, it isn't. Exact opposite. Wehr has the WORST free commanders.

I didn't pay for shit dumbass so try again. And you're the one who was bitching about OKW being having so many end-war units available despite them also being locked behind commanders and complaining how the US didn't have any. And now that I've pointed out that you're full of shit, you're trying to shift goalposts.

Which ones are the best on your opinion for Ostheer? I like Jaeger Infantry and Mobile Defense Doctrine, but I'm curious which commanders you find to be ahead of the rest.

After a lot of recent USF games, I'd say Airborne is one of the USF's best, with Armor Company and Rifle Company up there too. The rest are hit or miss. I don't have much recent experience with Ostheer/Soviets post 2018, so I can't really comment as much on them for the current state of balance.

It's mod tier setting but the campaigns would be fuckin crazy
Unprepared allies and an ultra aggressive infantry-based japan marching through Singapore and fighting the Americans etc

Japanese would have more air support, americans would be the arty and defend faction

British have mass troops + armor

The chi-com dlc would sell like gangbusters

Also you could have those German-trained Chinese troops as a doctrine.

>Put spotting scope on 222 scout car
>Can see from my base to the middle VP or from just outside of my base to the front of the enemy base

I don't know how anyone can call this a weak ability with a straight face. I can see and react to enemy movements as soon as someone issues a command to them. Every direction they go, the MG42 is ready to meet them and suppress their infantry or a Pak is already lying in ambush with a stunning shot. If infantry dare clump up, they meet an artillery barrage.

Wehraboos can get literal maphacks and still complain
Tiger syndrome very real

The new DE showcase looks good
I'm fully expecting someone to complain that the game having proper textures makes it soulless now.
