>EOP Dev.

It is a shame that these guys are so salty that this one weeb did what everyone has wanted for M2TW that their project couldn't fulfill or took ages to do.

If they would get their heads out of their asses both teams could do so much.
>>
>>2438306

Why is suddenly everyone some bizarre moralfag reeeeing about how editing executables is illegal? When did people get so buckbroken? Modders have been editing binaries since like always and even if they decompiled it it's whatever. Also maybe I could have expected normalfag zoomers to be like that but I would have through that medfags of all people are old and from a time people didn't give a shit about those sorts of things.

EB II yes, DAC v5 I believe is compatible (the version before Eop integration)
>>
>>2438445
v6? Did it release recently or what?
>>
>>2438452
Sorry it's the non v5 version that's not compatible because it uses eop. The devs of reforged are currently an updated m2ex version of their mod
>>
>>2438423
There was a similar reaction to the 4GB patch. It is part of the reason the DAC devs broke with TWCenter. Now that EOP and the DAC devs are one and the same they are pearl clutching over the exact same shit with this project. M2EX basically invalidates their work and they refuse to even try to make both projects work together. They can’t even make an argument to justify not embracing M2EX. It’s going to divide the modding community and EOP guys are going to look like fools in the end.

Even if you make something like OpenMW you'll get loud faggots trying to steer people away. And inevitably, their efforts to deter people will fail as the project continues to be developed and more modders get on board with using it.

my dude the game works so fast and smooth it can process 100 turns in 30 s
>>
>>2438900
>Even if you make something like OpenMW you'll get loud faggots trying to steer people away
It is my experience that in the case of OpenMW, the OpenMW evangelists are generally the loud faggots insisting that everyone else is wrong for not playing the way they do, and are unable to articulate any objective improvements as to why one should switch

Already been a code patch since forever, this is nothing new
>and massively improving performance
Using the MGE XL extender it already looks great and runs stably at a silky smooth high frame rate with zero crashes
>while maintaining compatibility with majority of mods
I have a small list of simple mods, half of which I made myself because I don’t want bloated modder fan fiction
>isn't an objective improvement? I'm guessing you're a /vrpg/ poster
This is the kind of stuff I was talking about. I already have an install of vanilla Morrowind that does exactly what I want, nothing I don’t want, and looks good and runs smoothly and stably. What benefit is there to me to switch? “uhhhhh you must be stupid if you don’t want to switch”
You could’ve listed improving the animations so that they aren’t hardcoded to a janky 24 fps, which is indeed an objective improvement over the base game, but you went straight to snark instead

>>2439080
>Already been a code patch since forever, this is nothing new
A 4gb patch isn't 64-bit support. The game still is forced to the limitations of the original exe. This isn't debatable, you're objectively wrong. The same applies to your point about performance. It objectively cannot run as well. Nobody outside of a dead rpg 4chan board actually cares how you play, but you're going on a tirade about OpenMW players being retards when you don't even understand the subject matter on a basic level. Only other (you) I'm giving since this isn't a Morrowind thread.

The removed limits on number of factions and settlements along with smooth performance is the actual boon for modding. Lots of mods with big maps run like shit and leave regions empty because adding more would make the game even slower, or they already maxed out the cap.

Fuck NuCA.
We're gonna keep proving M2 was the best Total War and all their so-called innovations were dumb gimmicks while we make mods that are superior to anything corporate.

I pasted all the files into the game directory and start the game with M2EX.exe.
It shows the correct version and x64 and everything but the UI in a battle is still the old one and WASD for camera movement doesn't work.
Is it only compatible with M2 Vanilla and not the Definitive Edition?

You need to switch to the proton version in steam but it does work. I'm using it on arch and it's working great. There is a guide on the discord for the linux or steamdeck install.
>>2440518
You need to change the controls in the options. WASD controls should be on of the options. I think you need to do it from the main menu, not in game.
>>
>>2440329
Works fine on Linux, just make sure to surround the "start in" path with quotes otherwise it won't launch properly because of how spaces get handled.

Rome is definitely a high point in the series but it leaves a lot to be desired. Medieval II basically took everything from Rome and made it better. I can't think of a single thing from Medieval II that wasn't a direct improvement on every single aspect of the older games.
>>
Are there any mods that add infinite ammo to units only if they are defenders during a siege or make them able to restock ammo if they retreat back to the main square?
I doesn't make sense to me that a unit fighting inside their own city/fort runs out of ammo as fast as the attacker.

Honestly people should just stop supporting EOP mods.
