>be me, the sequel to a popular C&C title>developed by an experienced team and high budget>highly anticipated, generate a lot of hype and speculation>hire past-their-prime, overrated actors to play out unappealing live-action cutscenes>completely ignore the rich lore and sci-fi geopolitics that made your predecessor interesting and immersive>no more grounded, gritty sci-fi, now everything is futuristic super science that needs no explaining>GDI and Nod are now comic book versions of their past selves>game is a bugged mess on release, many issues are never patched>dozens of half-baked features, highly questionable design choices>UX and graphics are worse than your peers'>uninteresting, ambient-heavy soundtrack that not even the composer liked>campaign is full of plotholes and missions that are either piss-easy or stupidly hard>get an expansion pack a year later that only makes things worse for multiplayer, with new units that are either broken-ass OP or absolutely worthless>obnoxious fans that praise it as the best C&C ever despite having shittier gameplay than RA2>official servers are shut down only after a few years>game is left for the community to maintain>be Tiberian Sun>pic unrelated
>>2440848Generals and Zero Hour set the bar too high
Yeah nah, tib sun is a gem.Multifags should leave.
>>2440848tiberium wars fucked up by lack of mutant wildlife and plants.
>>2440888Even changing the shape of the tiberium, introducing all that crystals, has been a lame take. To not mention that, during the development of TW, rumors spread about the fact that EA involved some sort of scientifical department to "study" the Tiberium composition. A stupid way to raise the hype, while then the game has a mid story and cutscene at best.
>game is a bugged mess on release, many issues are never patchedI remember having bought the Kane edition (that is not present in the Ultimate compilation in Steam, BTW), and if you installed the game from the cd disc, without any patch, the game simply crashed. So if you hadn't a broadband connection (and it wasn't so common in my area, at the time), you simply cannot play the game you just legally bought.
>>2440848>>be Tiberian Sun>>pic unrelatedoh fuck I was about to call you a retard but then I saw thisyou fucking got me you piece of shit
>>2440848>be Tiberian Sun>pic unrelatedand even then it was still kino
Warcraft 3 would have killed it anyway or already did. I segued straight to WC3 from it. I skipped Brood Wars because I got bored of the sci fi setting. We played a lot of mech games back then, so much shit was a sci fi setting.
Oh you motherfucker, you got me.
>Still no game that looks like this.Tiberium looked close, but naturally was cancelled.
>>2444837>if you installed the game from the cd disc, without any patch, the game simply crashed. This never happened with my Kane Edition.
