The only reason I play as a Democrat in this game is because they're the underdogs and I try to play as a moderate who has some conservative views. In my game, Pennsylvania was the bloodbath where we poured all of our efforts into. During the middle of the race, my democrat candidate went to Alaska and made some speeches there as well as placed a campaign headquarters. Something else interesting that happened is that for a long time, New Jersey was a swing state. My running mate was governor of New Jersey, but that didn't do much to sway it from going red, but towards the end, I got an endorsement from a former president and that made New Jersey go back into play. You can see from picrel that me and my opponent were both visiting New Jersey at the end. On election night, we took New Jersey back, but lost Pennsylvania. The electoral college count was 268 for me to 267 for my Republic opponent!!!!!! Then, because I spent some time in Alaska, I miraculously made it turn blue, winning a measly 3 electoral votes, which ended up sealing my win. I also got the popular vote as well. Thrilling game that I probably won't be able to top.
