Anyone here play Software Inc.? I rarely (if ever) see this game discussed here, and i think it's a really decent game. So, let's discuss this spreadsheet simulatror.

I fail at marketing and my software never sells whether I use a publisher or not. I made a highly reviewed antivirus software and did a photographic press release right after the fourth design iteration, developed to completion and a month or two of bugfixing. Only got 3 followers and didn't sell a single copy (yes I printed). I get that a business game has to have some obfuscation of the market in order to be enjoyable but I just don't understand the obtuse mechanics. Might give it another try but early game is stressful and after two fails I just don't have the energy to do that again for a while.
>>2459947>Paying for an antivirusGame got that part right.
>>2451757I remember enjoying it ages ago but I didn't get very far. As soon as I settle into a semblance of stability, everything I'm doing becomes outdated and I get fucked trying to keep up with the times.>>2451803>>2452858>Finally, I just wanted to give a quick happy 12th year anniversary to development of Software Inc!from a few months ago lol. Wish them all the best.
>>2459918it's just a dollhouse simulator like megaquarium or zoo tycoon. there's not enough strategy to make it a strategy game
I can't wait for it to go on sale, looks like it will immensely satisfy my autistic thirst
